Chapter 64
Before everyone could react, Sabrina had already started apologizing.
"Charlotte, this is all my fault; it's all on me. Let me apologize on Alexander's behalf too. Please forgive us."
Watching Sabrina's humble posture, Alexander's heart suddenly tightened. "Sabrina, the floor is cold, get up quickly."
"Charlotte, please just forgive us." Sabrina refused to get up, and instead coughed several times weakly.
Calvin's eyes had already turned red. "Sabrina, stop being stubborn, the floor is cold."
Alexander's eyes once again filled with irritation again. "Charlotte, Sabrina is your own sister. Do you really want her dead that badly?"
Charlotte showed no fear as she met his gaze head-on . "You've asked this question many times already. You may not be tired of it, but I am."
Then she looked down at Sabrina. "Sabrina, stop acting."
"You're just worried that Alexander won't sign the papers and you won't be able to divorce me, which would get in the way of you becoming the new Mrs. Forbes, right?"
"Well, let me tell you, I'm definitely getting this divorce."
Sabrina shed two tears right on cue. "Charlotte, you know that's not what I'm thinking..."
Charlotte sneered: "If that's the case, then do you dare swear in front of everyone that you'll never marry Alexander in this lifetime?"
At this point, the onlookers seemed to catch on to something and started pointing and whispering about Sabrina.
Some bold onlookers even spoke up.
"Go ahead and swear, why don't you dare?"
"Exactly, is she feeling guilty?"
"I get it now, she's clearly after her own brother-in-law."
"You really dare to say it."
"What's there to be afraid of?"
"You're right, I hate this kind of two-faced person the most."
...
Hearing these comments, Sabrina seemed deeply hurt. Her slender body swayed, looking like she was about to collapse.
Alexander reacted quickly and caught her.
"Charlotte, stop being so aggressive. I'll apologize, okay?"
Charlotte looked at him calmly. "Fine, hurry up and apologize so we can finish this. Don't waste everyone's time."
Alexander was frustrated. "Charlotte!"
But Charlotte remained expressionless, as if facing an insignificant stranger.
Alexander gritted his teeth and finally spoke.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Seeing this, Calvin also reluctantly spoke. "I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Supporting Oliver, Charlotte accepted all three people's apologies, calm and composed.
Next, both parties signed and stamped the mediation agreement, each taking a copy before parting ways.
But at the last moment, Charlotte casually reminded Alexander. "Remember to keep an eye on Sabrina and don't let her hurt people again. Otherwise, don't blame me for being ruthless."
Calvin was about to retort when Landon, who had been following closely beside Charlotte, looked up and gave him a cold glance.
Just that one look made Calvin, who always prided himself on being fearless, instantly feel a chill down his spine. His mouth hung open, but he forgot what he wanted to say.
As she stepped over the clinic threshold, Sabrina secretly curled her fingers into a fist.
'Charlotte, you dare humiliate me like this? Just wait, I definitely won't let you off easy!' she thought.
Moments later, inside the clinic.
Having just gained five million for free, Oliver insisted that Charlotte and Landon stay and celebrate properly.
At that moment, he excitedly set up a barbecue grill, and the three sat together.
Oliver looked at Landon with satisfaction. "Landon, when did you install surveillance in the shop? I didn't know about it."
Landon smiled. "Didn't I mention installing surveillance for you last time? You didn't want it, so later I just had someone secretly install it for you."
Oliver laughed heartily and patted Landon's shoulder heavily. "Good, well done! Let's celebrate."
Landon glanced at him. "Want to drink? Let's be clear first, only one glass."
Oliver readily agreed.
Charlotte watched from the side, full of confusion. Landon had only returned to the country recently, so how did he become so familiar with Oliver?
So while Landon went to his car to get wine for Oliver, Charlotte finally couldn't help but ask Oliver quietly. "How did you meet Mr. Forbes?"
Before Oliver could answer, Landon's lazy voice suddenly came from behind. "What, in your eyes, I'm not good enough to know him?"
Charlotte was purely curious.
But then Landon looked at her and clicked his tongue. "Though with your taste in people, why am I even bothering with you?"
Charlotte's curious heart instantly shattered.
Fortunately, Oliver defended her, glaring at Landon. "Landon, what do you know? Everyone has to be foolish once in their life to see through people's hearts."
Charlotte didn't know what to say.
Fortunately, Landon didn't say anything more.
He even thoughtfully served her some beef during the barbecue. "You worked pretty hard arguing earlier, eat more to recover."
She had thought he'd changed and wasn't as sharp-tongued as before.
But it turned out he was still just as cutting.
However, with Landon's interruption, she still didn't get to ask about how they met.
Forbes Estate.
As soon as they got out of the car, Sabrina couldn't help but probe: "Alexander, are you really going to divorce Charlotte? But she likes you so much, can you really bear to let her go?"
Alexander didn't respond, because he'd been thinking about whether Charlotte really wanted to divorce him.
Would she change her mind on the spot when she saw him show up as agreed the day after tomorrow, and try every way to make peace with him?
To be honest, since Charlotte left, he'd deeply experienced how difficult it was to take care of a family.
The children's education, everything at home, and now taking care of Sabrina too...
This period had left him stretched thin and with constant headaches.
And Charlotte used to handle all of this perfectly, without him worrying about anything, allowing him to focus entirely on his career.
So he finally decided that for the sake of her taking care of him and his son these past few years, as long as she admitted her mistakes the day after tomorrow, he would give her a chance to return to the family.
So Alexander thought for a moment and finally squeezed out. "Don't worry about my business, just focus on getting better first."
Hearing this, Sabrina's heart immediately sank.
By saying this, Alexander was clearly still hesitating.
She'd gone to such great lengths, and he still hadn't given up on Charlotte!
Alexander, and everything about the Forbes Family, could only belong to her!
Moments later, Alexander left home for the company.
Sabrina immediately picked up her phone and made a call.
