Familiar Beast

"How do you know my name?" Carly cried out as she brought both of her hands to her head as thy were banging when they were going to explode.

"Why does it hurt so much?" Carly screamed attracting the attention of the guards stationed at the door as she rolled from one end of the cell to the other while the woman just stared on in a daze.

She as none other than Carly's grandmother, the one that had been presumed dead!

"What's going on?" The guards questioned as they stared at Carly who was acting like she was mentally derailed and urgently needed mental care.

"Nana, are you okay?" They called but Carly's grandmother was as shocked and confused as Carly who didn't even remember anything as her head was thudding away.

How fst news flies as a wind because in no time, Uthred was rushing down to the dungeon in haste.

"Where is she?" He asked as he got to the dungeon gate where some guards were hurdled together.

"I'm sorry, who are you talking about sur?" They asked and Uthred rolled his eyes.

"The girl I brought in this morning." Uthred stressed rolling his eyes before they gestured towards a direction and Uthred ran off with Ubba trailing him behind.

"What happened to her?" The guards were questioning Carly's grandmother but she wasn't saying anything.

She just stared into nothingness like she had a major stroke and couldn't shake any part of her body.

When Uthred saw Carly's grandmother, he just stared at Carly who was still rolling and screaming uncontrollably and smiled.

"I need her to see you more often than ever so you're in charge of her food and drinks." Uthred instructed and without responding to the guards who asked continually what to do with Carly, he walked away.

"But my Lord, she just saw me and is acting up like she had just saw a demon. When she regains consciousness, she might probably think its a bad nightmare if i show up again. I think the best I can do for her right now is to stay away from her as far as possible." Carly's grandmother suggested and Uthred halted in his tracks, stared at her for a moment thoughtfully before shaking his head in negativity.

"No, I need her to remember who she is. That is when she would be beneficial to me." Uthred commented and resumed walking away.

Life and death flashed in Carly's eyes as she saw different images that she couldn't place.

Then she saw the old woman that she had seen just now.

The woman was on a stairs and smiling to her as she cleaned the stairs.

And then the words proceeded out of her mouth...

"Granny!"

Thats what she called the woman.

"Granny." She called out as her head hurt and her grandmother turned to stare at her as she rolled like she was been tormented.

As she called 'Granny' all the pain in her head stopped abruptly.

She sat up and stared around and wondered what had happened to her.

Just a minute ago, her brains were threatening to burst in a million pieces and now her woke body was chill like nothing of the sorts had happened before.

"Granny." Carly called out to her grandmother and hr grandmother came forward and smiled at her painfully.

"Yes Carly." Her granny answered and Ubba who had not left with Uthred took the keys to Carly's cell from the guards and placed them in Carly's grandmother's hands.

"You know the price of treachery, Brida. Help her get her memories back and maybe, just maybe...you might get your freedom back as well." Ubba enunciated and Brida, Carly's granny nodded her head in affirmation.

It wasn't like she was even planning to release Carly and then escape with her.

The thought wouldn't even dare to cross her mind.

They were never going to be able to escape from this people!

Everywhere was heavily guarded and before they went psst the first gate, they would be caught.

Brida went forward and opened the door to the dungeon and walked over to Carly who just stared at her like a zombie that just got transformed.

"Carly, are you okay?" Brida questioned as she caressed Carly's hair softly and smoothly.

"Granny!" Carly called shifted uncomfortably farther away from Brida.

"What's wrong? You lost your memories?" Brida asked and Carly nodded her head in affirmation.

"Its okay then, I'm free to tell you as much as I know about you." Brida offered and Carly yelped.

"Tell me about me now...I want to hear it." Carly requested urgently. The earlier she realized she was, the better for her.

"Well, you are Carly. That's basically the whole explanation of you. You are one of the gifted kids with the power to stop time, you—" As Brida was still explaining, another turmoil step in.

Carly released and loud scream as her eyes turned pure red and then white, before returning to its normal eye color.

Firstly, she held her ears as she hears a loud and piercing scream inside of it and she began tearing her clothe.

Flashes of her memories!!

Her blade covered in blood!

The sweet smile she held in the forest!

Saving peter.

Banishing granny's beast to hell.

Unintentionally, killing her mother..

And killing someone else to cover her mothers death.

The towering figure and the glass vase that hit her head before consciousness slipped out of her.

That was the point she could remember to.

.that was when everything about her memory blanked out till she awoke in the first room.

Finally, she knew who she was and finally ut settled in why that beast looked strangely familiar.

It was Lord Augus beast, the same beast that had showed up on the side of the demons the day she was supposed to save Peter.

That was what they had tattooed all over their body like it was some kind of god that they worshipped?

Perhaps they worshipped it, no one could tell.

"Wait a minute, Granny where are we?" Carly asked suddenly growing very inquistive of her surroundings as she stared back and forth in haste.

"Why the haste? We are in a place that can keep us safe for now." Brida suggested trying to hold Carly down but she was a tad too late because Carly was all over the place already, trying yo peep out of the rails and windows.

"Granny, make this easy for me okay? Just tell me where the hell I'm the universe we are because my instincts tells me that this is the last place we should be calling safe because it is far from safe. So save me the stress and spit it out if you're actually going to say." Carly ranted out with urgency and as she ended the sentence, she took a deep breathe in.

"Carly, the thing is that you might not be prepared to hear it, okay? So just let go of it." Brida persuaded and Carly folded her arms in a challenging manner.

"Just because I lost my memories for a day doesnt me I've lost everything that makes me, me! What do you mean by 'I'm not prepared' Is that eve a statement? I asked for it so give it to me." Carly ordered glaring at Brida and then Brida knew she had no choice on keeping the truth from Carly.

Not ever gets pasts her any ways.

"Well, Carly...we are in the main home of demons. Their abode." Brida stated and Carly's jaw fell.

"What did you say?" Carly asked blinking her eyes just to make sure she heard clear.

"You heard me perfectly well, didn't you sweetheart?"
