Chapter 191
Alexander snorted coldly, dismissive, "Do I?"
Lila gritted her teeth and reminded him, "You should spare yourself. Living with a woman you hate must be painful."
Alexander sneered, "Painful? I don't think so. Apart from not being able to satisfy my desires, you're barely acceptable in other aspects. What I appreciate most is how you can't stand me but pretend to be obedient. It's truly satisfying."
Lila felt helpless about Alexander's nasty remarks.
There must be something wrong with Alexander psychologically, right?
Did he really enjoy building his pleasure on others' pain like this?
Lila silently gritted her teeth, cursing him in her mind.
For the rest of the drive, the car remained silent.
When they arrived at Island Mansion, Alexander stopped the car.
As Lila unbuckled her seatbelt, she heard him say coolly, "Lila, isn't your job as a driver a bit too easy?"
Her hands paused slightly, "It's not easy."
"How many times now? You're always sitting in the passenger seat while I, the boss, drive. People who don't know might think I'm your driver."
"Then next time, boss, just let me drive."
She had already planned to admit her mistake and correct it, but Alexander kept making trouble, "You know you're the driver. Can't you take the initiative to sit in the driver's seat?"
Lila turned to look at him, "Boss, did you forget? Just now outside the mall, you were the one who forced me into the passenger seat. It's not that I didn't want to drive. You didn't give me the chance."
Alexander glared at her fiercely, unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car, and slammed the door.
Lila rolled her eyes.
Was his embarrassment from being contradicted burning into anger?
Served him right for looking for trouble.
She unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the car door, swinging one leg out.
Just as she got out, she saw Alexander had already walked around the front of the car to her side, staring at her with cold eyes.
Lila slowly closed the car door and asked, "Boss, what's wrong?"
"I'm not just talking about today."
Lila didn't quite understand what Alexander meant.
Still not done?
She agreed, "I understand. From now on, I'll drive and you ride. Is that okay?"
"That's how it should be, isn't it?"
"Yes."
Alexander saw her completely agreeable attitude again and couldn't vent his anger.
But he clearly felt she wasn't being sincere, just trying to get rid of his questioning and settling of accounts.
This woman always had the ability to annoy him.
Alexander suddenly stepped closer to her.
Lila met his gloomy gaze and instinctively stepped back. She really wanted to impatiently ask what exactly he wanted, but she didn't dare. Finally, she spoke gently, "Boss, what's wrong?"
"Don't you want to know what Ms. Hill said to me?"
"If you want to tell me, I can listen."
Alexander snorted, "You want to hear it, but I'm not telling you."
After dropping this line, he turned around and strode toward the villa's entrance.
Lila felt extremely angry.
Alexander's brain really had problems.
She shook her head and followed him.
When they returned to the living room, Lila's phone rang.
She took it out and saw it was a message from Elara.
【Lila, are you home yet?】
【Mr. Sinclair standing up for you earlier was so cool! You can tell he still cares about his newlywed wife!】
Lila: 【Just got home.】
Lila: 【Can you believe it? He just stood up for me in front of Julie, then turned around and accused me of bullying his ex-girlfriend's best friend.】
Elara: 【No way?】
Lila was about to reply when she heard Alexander, sitting upright on the sofa, say something that shocked her, "Lila, come here and build some feelings with me."
