Chapter 200: Jessa Completely Ended

After Elizabeth let go, Emily lowered her head and couldn't help but cry, trembling.

Emily today felt not only humiliated but also an unprecedented sense of despair.

Even her own mother refused to help her now, leaving her future looking bleak.

She no longer wanted to struggle, collapsing to the ground in resignation, her eyes vacant as if her soul had left her.

Leandro arrived shortly after, already aware of what had happened, and had Emily taken away immediately.

She had been crying already, but once in the police car, her sobs grew louder.

Leandro stood by the car, somewhat amused, and questioned her.

"What's the point of crying after making a mistake? You were so eager to humiliate others, and now it's too late to regret and be afraid."

This was why Elizabeth had no sympathy for her. Emily never learned her lesson and only grew worse.

So, Elizabeth had to give Emily a stern reprimand this time to settle the score.

Before leaving, Leandro sought Elizabeth's opinion.

"Whether this is a big deal or not depends on how you decide to deal with it."

Elizabeth glanced at the sobbing Emily in the car and smiled faintly. "I don't want her to have it easy."

Leandro understood. "Alright, leave it to me."

He wasn't one to abuse his power, but that was only if the other person was decent.

Elizabeth took out her phone, snapped a picture of the scene, and drove away from the villa.

Nola watched Elizabeth protect herself and felt very gratified.

Elizabeth went to see Jessa, arriving at a familiar motel and easily opening the door with a card.

Jessa was still living there, unable to afford to move elsewhere. There were still dried bloodstains on the floor from the last time she had coughed up blood. Her complexion was still terrible, and she seemed accustomed to Elizabeth's uninvited visits.

"What are you here for again? There's no need to threaten me with Emily. I can barely take care of myself and don't want another burden."

Elizabeth sat across from her, immediately piercing through her thoughts.

"You're trying to distance yourself from her to protect her, right? But it's too late. Your daughter will have to bear the consequences of the things you've done, too!"

Hearing this, Jessa couldn't hold back any longer and glared at Elizabeth.

Back then, she hadn't gone all out to destroy Elizabeth, and now it had come back to haunt her.

Jessa was conceited, but so many people had been ruined by this seemingly unremarkable Elizabeth.

She bitterly regretted not driving Elizabeth mad when she had the chance.

Facing Jessa's hateful gaze, Elizabeth remained unfazed, calmly pulling out the photo she had just taken.

Jessa, upon seeing it, hysterically lunged at Elizabeth, her eyes wide with rage.

"She's just a child! Why do you have to be so ruthless?"

"A child?" Elizabeth sneered, "Jessa, she's older than me. You call that a child?"

Jessa stared at the photo, her face pale. In a final act of desperation, she pleaded with Elizabeth.

"Please, just let her go. I'll do anything you want! If she ends up in jail, Verdantia National Laboratory will reevaluate her qualifications, and her future will be ruined!"

Elizabeth shook off Jessa's grip on her clothes, sneered.

"Her future has nothing to do with me. I came here today just to inform you. Watching your panic and despair brings me great satisfaction."

She pulled her hand back, turned off her phone, and left without another word.

Behind her, Jessa's desperate screams echoed, her last bit of hope extinguished.

As Elizabeth left the motel, a car from the IRS was already parked outside.

The director saw her and politely approached, offering her a cigarette.

"Ms. Perez, you're here too?"

Elizabeth nodded. "Yes, I don't smoke. Jessa is in room 502."

The director immediately understood her purpose and signaled his team to go up while he escorted Elizabeth to her car.

"Ms. Perez, rest assured, we are aware of Jessa's tax issues. She's also suspected of money laundering. All the evidence is ready; we're just waiting to take her in. Sorry for any previous offenses. We will make amends for our mistakes."

Elizabeth knew Jessa's fate would be grim.

She didn't start her car right away but sat inside, thinking.

"Are you in a hurry? Mind if I make a bigger scene out of Jessa's situation?"

The director shook his head, very courteous.

"Of course not. Her case will eventually be publicly announced to warn the business community to pay their taxes and obey the law."

"Good, have your people take their time. Wait for me." The director complied.

In less than twenty minutes, Elizabeth had called numerous reporters to the scene.

They surrounded the place, cameras aimed at the motel entrance, ready to expose Jessa's story.

Matthew and Alice arrived too. Seeing the scene, Alice clapped her hands in delight.

"Looks like Jessa is finally done for. We've waited so long for this day!"

Alice hugged Elizabeth, feeling very emotional.

Three years ago, Elizabeth had been wronged so badly, and it was a miracle Nola had survived.

Soon, Jessa was brought out.

Seeing the crowd at the motel entrance, she lowered her head in fear, struggling against the IRS agents.

But they were firm, forcing her out.

Reporters crouched with their cameras, easily capturing Jessa's pale face. The sound of camera shutters filled the air.

Elizabeth got out of her car, watching Jessa with a sense of relief.

Jessa's story had come to an end.

Those who had wronged Nola hadn't escaped, and Elizabeth had avenged herself with her own hands.

What Jessa had done back then, Elizabeth had now done in return, making her feel the same despair.

Matthew took a jacket from the car and draped it over her shoulders, his voice gentle.

"How about we celebrate tonight with a drink?"

Elizabeth glanced at him, warning softly. "Another drink? Don't think I don't know what you're up to!"

Every time they drank, they ended up losing control and sleeping together.

Matthew knew this and still suggested it, clearly with ulterior motives!
