Chapter 47

The man was a handsome young fellow, tall and in excellent physical shape.

His hair was black and tousled, with well-defined eyebrows and green eyes that he often used to seduce women. He had full lips and just a hint of stubble.

Stefan's gaze hardened upon seeing him, but he opened his eyes in surprise when he saw the woman accompanying him.

She was a fair-skinned woman of medium height, 5'8" (173 cm), with ashy blonde hair, almost reaching a light brown shade. Her hair was long and straight, with shorter strands framing her face. She had beautiful brown eyes and a well-developed body despite her age.

She was stunning.

Stefan couldn't believe what he was seeing. What was Gretchen doing with that man who was his counterpart?

"That girl... wasn't she your girlfriend, Mr. Schmidt?" one of the men he was with asked.

"Yes, she was," he replied tersely.

He couldn't believe what he was witnessing. Gretchen had left him ten years ago, and now she was with his enemy? Didn't she despise that world?

The newly arrived couple stared at the German, and both men exchanged challenging glances. The tension in the room was palpable.

The dark-haired man walked over to his rival with a mocking smile, and when he stood in front of Stefan, the atmosphere became even more charged.

"Well, what a surprise. Look who decided to show up," he commented mockingly.

"Jürgen..." Gretchen murmured, looking at the man she was with. "Please, don't bother him," she implored.

"I thought you wouldn't dare to come, Schmidt," Jürgen said contemptuously.

"Mr. Hoffman... Mrs.," Stefan said seriously, looking directly at the woman.

"Stefan..." Gretchen whispered.

"Did you see? In the end, your girlfriend was clever. And you know what's best of all? I'm the one boasting about my woman now. That's right. We've been married since January. Didn't you tell him when you went to see him?" he spoke with a sarcastic smile.

Jürgen and Gretchen left the place, passing behind Stefan. It was then that the dark-haired man said:

"I plan to take everything you have. I already took your girlfriend... and I intend to take everything else until you have nothing left. By the way, your ex-girlfriend is a bombshell in bed."

Unable to bear it for another minute, Stefan turned around and punched him, causing Jürgen to fall to the ground and sit there with a hand on his cheek. Everyone in the room stirred.

Gretchen bent down to help her husband. Then, Stefan threatened, his eyes filled with a murderous gaze:

"Try it, and I'll kill you."

...

Katia tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. She stared at the ceiling, lying on her back, wondering why she couldn't sleep.

The loud sound of the front door of the house slamming shut made her sit up in fear. Suddenly, she heard another door slam shut, and that made Katia close her eyes. She threw off the covers and got out of bed.

She hopped on one foot to the chair where the crutch was placed. Then she made her way downstairs, worried about him. She searched every room on the ground floor until she found him thanks to the sound of things crashing to the floor.

She opened the door to the study and found it in disarray, with Stefan standing by the fireplace, looking at the floor.

She entered, not knowing how to approach him. She didn't care about the consequences of getting closer to him, but she couldn't deny that she was concerned.

"What's wrong?" she asked, placing her hand on his arm. He abruptly pulled away. "Stefan..."

"Get out," he ordered coldly.

"But I'm..."

"Get out of here!" he yelled furiously.

Katia looked at him with wide eyes, surprised, as it was the first time he had raised his voice like that.

Without saying a word, she left the study and returned to her room.

She didn't realize that he was drunk and had yelled at her to avoid doing anything she might regret.

Stefan began to pound the fireplace mantel in frustration, and with one final strike, he screamed at the top of his lungs. How could he have been so stupid? He should have realized it sooner.

When he heard something fall to the floor, he looked up and turned his head toward the table. Standing there was Katia.

"I told you to leave," he said, turning his gaze back to the fireplace.

"Yes, but I won't leave you alone," she said nervously, looking around. "If you need to vent, do it with me," she continued, surprising the German. "You can do whatever you want with me," she added as she removed her pajamas and stood there in her underwear.

He glanced sideways at her and was surprised to see her almost naked.

"I don't know what happened to make you so furious, but if I let you do whatever you want with me, it will go away, I want you to unburden yourself with my body."

"Get dressed. I'm not going to take my anger out on you," he said without looking at her.

"I won't get dressed until you do," she said serenely. "I don't want to see you angry."

That comment made him look at her suddenly, frowning.

Seeing her, standing there, and wearing only her underwear, made his intimacy begin to swell. He looked into her eyes and saw that he was afraid, but she was right: he needed to let off steam.

He approached her slowly and when he was in front of his wife, both of their gazes met. Katia was breathing slowly, while her eyes were fixed on the man's green ones.

She brought her legs together, when she noticed that her intimacy began to lubricate from the excitement of the moment.

Stefan put his hands on her shoulders, which caused her body to tremble from his touch and she let the air out of her mouth very slowly.

She was definitely very aroused.
