The car pulled up outside of the building and Tazio jumped out, opening the door for me. He frowned when he saw my face. “Good morning, Fallon. Allianna will be moving in to the flat tonight and everything at the club is under control.”
“Thank you, Taz. Are you going to stay and help ease her into everything?”
He gave me a soft smile, “I’m sorry, Fallon. She is a big girl, she can handle things here. I have business back home to deal with and Jesus has been without me long enough.”
I gave him a weak smile and crawled in the backseat, I sat as close to the window as I could. Maximo huffed as the door closed and looked me over. He sighed and pulled out his phone. He was always on his phone. I swear he wouldn’t make it without it.
When we pulled up to the private air strip, Maximo jumped out of the car. The pilot opened the door and grabbed our bags. I didn’t move from the car. Maximo had just left without a word, he didn’t talk to me the whole drive. Maximo yelled back to his guards, “Get her the fuck on the plane.” His guard opened my door. I was still buckled in.
“Come.” He motioned with his hand. I ignored him. He reached in the car and unbuckled me.
“Last time I will ask nicely.” He stated before grabbing me by the arm and pulling me out onto the ground. “Get up and walk or I will drag you all the way to the plane.” He was not joking. I stood up and began walking towards the plane, but he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
“Let me go.” I squirmed, punching his back and kneeing him in the chest. He held me tighter and threw me on the sofa once we got inside the plane. “You son of a bitch I will kill you!” I screamed at him. I stood up and reached for his gun. He noticed quickly and slapped me so hard I fell over. Maximo jumped up.
“Don’t ever do that again.” He said sternly. “Get the fuck up.” He said to me. I had tears in my eyes. His guard hit much harder than he did. I crawled onto the sofa and pulled my knees to my chest.
“Where is James?” I said looking around. Nobody answered me. I stood up. “Maximo, where is James? You know our deal.”
“That deal is no longer active as you cannot stop yourself from fucking him.” He said while looking at his phone. I walked in front of him. He didn’t look up, so I grabbed his phone out of his hand. I didn’t mean to look at the screen, but he was talking to some woman named Juliette. I glanced over the last few texts before he stood up and pulled the phone from my hand. He was sexting another woman and was trying to give me shit about my ex?
“So you give me shit about my ex, but you can’t stop talking to other women?” I snorted crossing my arms.
“Don’t do that, it is not a good look on you.” He said dryly.
“Jealous isn’t a good look on me? It’s not a good look on you either, but I’m not the one with busted knuckles.” I threw myself down in the chair across from him. “Where is James?” I asked again. He continued to ignore me. “Well fuck you too then.” I said through my teeth. He finally looked up at me. He pulled the engagement ring out of his pocket and moved to the edge of his seat, grabbing my left hand and pulled it to his face.
“Yes or no?” He asked holding the ring by my fourth finger. I nodded. He slid the ring on my finger and said, “He is going back to Missouri to recover.” He leaned back in his chair letting go of my hand.
“No. He is my security detail; I need my detail with me.”
“Well, that is not going to happen, mi amore.” He smirked. “I will hire you a security detail when we get home.” I looked out the window, unable to respond to his cockiness. He laughed dryly. “I wish I could make you speechless more often.” He smirked. I played with the ring on my finger for a minute before standing up, removing it, and walking towards the exit of the plane. The guard stepping in front of me. “Let her go.” Maximo waved him off. I got off the plane, meeting Tazio on my way out.
“Fallon, don’t do this.” He said while grabbing my hands.
“I’m sorry Tazio, I have business to tend to before I become his slave for the rest of my life.” He looked down at his feet then panned towards the entrance of the plane. Maximo was standing there and started to walk towards us. Tazio let go of my hands and backed up, picking up his bag and getting on the plane.
“What business is that?” He questioned.
“I need to hire a security detail, check on my club in Chicago, and get James before I go back with you. I agreed to be your wife but you will not control me. I will not marry you if you think you can. You can keep your ring and decide later if you can bring yourself to back the fuck off.” He smirked, grabbing my hand and placing the ring back on my fourth finger.
“I think we can work something out.” He said before kissing my hand and heading back towards the plane. He turned around and yelled for the driver to “Take her wherever she wants to go.” He got on the plane and I got in the car.
“To the airport.” I said before switching my phone to on.
