Chapter 75: The Request to Let Alex Go
"I don't know, ma'am. Boss never told me anything else apart from the meeting and work. I'm sorry that I can't help you with it," Emily replied politely.
"Really? Are you telling the truth? Or just trying to save your boss?" Natasha raised an eyebrow.
"If you are hiding anything, please let us know." Sarah turned around on the bed and looked at Emily.
"Come here," Sarah urged Emily with her hand, and Emily hesitantly walked to Sarah. Emily didn't know what was going to happen. She was afraid. She was wishing that Alex would quickly come there and save her. She was afraid that Alex's mom was going to catch her. She already knows that the girl they are looking for is her.
Sarah asked Emily to sit on the chair by the bed and then put the same sweet smile on her face that she used for Alex.
Just as she did with Alex, she grabbed Emily's hand in hers and said, "You are a good girl. I know you must be surprised by what is happening, but please don't tell anyone about it."
"Of course not," Emily said, shaking her head. "I won't ever do that. You can trust me."
Sarah smiled. "Thank you so much. Now, can you help me a little more? If you know who that girl is, let us know. Actually, Natasha is pregnant with Alex's child, and-"
"Mom!" and before Sarah could elaborate further, Natasha interrupted. "You can't tell just anyone about it. We can't trust her so easily."
Sarah looked at Natasha and gave her a weak smile. "Don't worry; I feel like we can trust her. She won't tell Alex anything."
"But still…" Natasha wasn't ready to trust Emily so soon. She was Alex's employee, not theirs. It was Alex who gave her money, not them. So, why would she listen to them?
"Don't worry," Sarah said to Natasha and once again turned to Emily. "I can trust you, right?" Sarah asked with a smile.
Emily didn't know what to say. She was shocked to hear the news that Natasha was pregnant with Alex's child. She didn't know what was going on. If Alex didn't like her, then why did he sleep with her?
"Why aren't you saying anything? You don't want to help us?" Sarah asked, seeing Emily silent.
"No, it's not like that. I…" Emily blinked her eyes so the tears wouldn't fall from her eyes. "I will help you. I will help you with it." Emily felt her heart being squeezed inside her chest. She wanted to run away and cry a lot, but she couldn't do it.
"Thank God. I thought you'd say no." Sarah smiled and pressed her hand against Emily's.
"Is she really pregnant? I mean-" Emily looked at Natasha.
"Do you think I'm lying or something?" Natasha glared at Emily.
"No, of course not. I was just curious. That's good news. I'm happy for the boss and you, ma'am."
"Really? You don't look happy, though," Natasha mocked.
"That's enough, Natasha. You are overreacting," Sarah scolded, and Natasha shut up.
"Listen, dear. If you know anything about that girl, please let us know. I just want to talk to her and request that she let Alex go. Alex can't be with her; he already has someone now."
Emily's lower lip quivered as she spoke, "Yeah, I understand that." She looked up and smiled at Sarah. "I'll try my best to help." She took a deep breath and continued, "Don't worry, the boss belongs to you." Emily looked at Natasha. "Nobody will take him away from you."
And only then did Natasha smile at Emily. "Maybe Mom is right. We can trust you." She was happy.
Emily smiled back at Natasha and got up from her chair. "I should go now. Actually, someone is waiting for me at my home, but if you need anything, let me know. I will come here immediately."
"Okay. But please don't tell Alex about what we talked about. Okay?" Sarah requested.
"And don't even tell about my pregnancy, either. He is worried about other matters. I don't want to break this news to him right now. So, I hope you will keep it a secret." Natasha looked at Emily with a look that said, "Don't you dare tell him anything, or you will regret it."
"Don't worry. I won't tell the boss anything." Emily smiled at Sarah and Natasha. "I should go now." She said and then quickly walked out of the Room.
As she came out of the Room, she saw Alex and his dad talking to each other at a distance.
Emily looked at Alex, waiting for him to look back at her. She wanted to talk to him and ask him something. Ask him what the truth is. Is what he said to her—that he loves her—all a lie? Is he just using her like he did Natasha, or does he really love her? But if he loves her, why did he do that to Natasha? She wanted to know everything. But Alex was so busy talking to his dad that he didn't look her way.
She waited for a while and then turned around before walking away.
