Chapter 69 Both Hands Were Sore

Chapter 69 Both Hands Were Sore
"Put me down. I can walk on my own." Emma clung to his neck.

Ignoring her, he only lifted her to gauge her weight.

She clung tighter in fright.

"Why are you angry? Charles and I aren't anything!" she shouted. "Besides, I'm on my period."

"I'm not angry," he murmured.

"Not angry? Look how puffed up your face is!" Emma pinched his cheek.

"You're blushing. What are you fantasizing about?" she giggled.

Liam carried her to the backseat, opened the door, and pushed her inside.

"I..." Her words trailed off as his mouth claimed hers.

His hand slid from the back of her head to her neck, caressing a spot so sensitive that it made her tremble softly.

They kissed for a long time, until she was breathless.

Only then did he pull back slightly, pressing his forehead against hers.

His heat, ragged breath washed over her face.

"Help me," he said hoarsely, his eyes filling with desire.

He lifted one of her hands and pressed it against his taut abdomen.

Emma's face flushed instantly.

"Can't we go home and do this there?" She tried to pull her hand away, but he held it firmly.

"No, I can't wait," he said impatiently.

He guided her hand downward to the belt buckle.

The metal buckle was cold, but the body beneath burned terrifyingly hot.

"Just use your hand," he urged in a low voice.

He cupped her face with his other hand before leaning in to kiss her.

This time, his kisses landed on her lips and jawline.

When he finally guided her hand to touch his skin, she flinched.

He buried his face in the crook of her neck, breathing heavy.

His hand led hers to find the rhythm that pleased him.

The carriage was quiet, filled only with the rustle of fabric and his heavy, stifled breaths.

His breathing suddenly became sharp and urgent.

He lifted his head and looked deeply into her eyes.

Then he grunted softly, clutching her tighter.

Every muscle in his body contracted violently, then slowly relaxed.
He kissed her damp hair.

"Let's go home," he said softly.

——

The next morning——

Emma opened her eyes and found Liam holding her close.

She shifted her body.

Meeting his handsome face, she lightly tapped his nose with her slender fingers.

Her gaze fell on his lips.

She then stole a quick kiss.

Her heartbeat quickened.

Liam sighed and tightened his arms around her.

"Baby, this isn't good..." he murmured.

She was startled.

When has he woken up?

She tried to pull her hand back, but he gripped her wrist tightly.

His brow slightly furrowed, and his breathing was heavier.

He pulled her hand and slid it inside his boxers.

Her palm instantly pressed against hard, scorching skin.

"Liam..." Her voice trembled.

His gaze was deep and dark, fixed directly on her.

Releasing her wrist, he grabbed her other hand.

"Both hands," he growled hoarsely.

Then he rolled over, pinning her face-to-face into the mattress.

He lowered his head to capture her lips, thrusting his tongue inside with scorching heat.

His kiss left her breathless, yet her hands remained under his control, moving passively.

He kissed her fiercely while adjusting the rhythm of her wrists.

His kisses drifted from her lips to her jaw and slid down her neck, leaving wet trails.

Her hands beneath the covers grew increasingly numb, yet his response only intensified.

After a burst of muffled groans, he collapsed heavily on top of her.

After a moment, he pushed himself up and kissed her sweat-dampened forehead.

"I'll go freshen up," he murmured hoarsely before tossing back the covers.

He stepped out of bed and headed toward the bathroom.

Emma lay on the rumpled bed, her hands too sore to lift.

——

It was past ten o'clock.

Emma sat on the sofa, massaging her wrists as she watched Liam pack his bags.

"Bastard!" she muttered under her breath.

Liam chuckled.

...

The car pulled into the Hayes family estate.

A massive castle stood, surrounded by vast lawns.

The car stopped, and Emma stepped out of the passenger seat.

Liam remained in the driver's seat, still on the phone.

He opened the door and put one foot on the ground.

He glanced briefly at the people frolicking on the nearby lawn.

Suddenly, the strange noises echoed from behind.

As she turned around, a furry dog charged straight at her!

"Ah!" she screamed in terror.

She instantly dove back into the car and slammed the door shut.

The dog glared through the door at her, panting heavily and pawing at the glass.

Liam sat frozen in the passenger seat.

His lips parted slightly as his Adam's apple bobbed violently.

She was sitting on his lap, half-leaning against him.

Emma was too afraid to move, staring at the dog outside the door.

"Are you afraid of dogs?" he asked in a hoarse voice.

"Yes." She nodded, her eyes red.

Liam locked the car doors and put his hands on her waist.

"Is tonight okay?" he asked.

"Hm?" Emma looked at him.

Sensing his arousal, she desperately wanted to pull away, but he held her tightly.

His eyes gleamed with desire as he leaned in.

"Can I?" he murmured.

"Liam, I didn't mean to..." Emma stopped his hand from lifting her shirt. "Don't do this!"

Several people approached.

Smirking, Liam touched her hip.

He then lifted her from his lap and placed her in the passenger seat.

"Don't worry," he chuckled.

Emma hastily released her grip on him.

Liam slid the window down.

"Muse! You scared my wife!" he barked sharply.

Emma jumped at his tone.

Wait, this dog is also named Muse?

The dog retreated a meter backward.

"Sit!" he instructed.

The dog obeyed, sitting on the ground, panting and wagging his tail.

"It's an Afghan Hound. Well-trained and very gentle. There's no need to be afraid." Liam turned to her. "Wait in the car for a moment."

"Okay." She exhaled in relief.
