Bloody Bird

Bloody Bird
This house wasn't really a home not if you asked me. It was a house just a house. Nothing warm about it, not photos on the walls. It was bare of anything that would say someone lived here. I went into the room that I used when I came here. Once in the room I fell into the bed closing my eyes crawling into the sleep that took me. I felt claws on my back as I groaned at the bird and his claws. Finally I was able to turn over making him fly off the bed.

"You know that your claws are sharp." I glared at him as I sat up. "You put holes in my shirt,I should pluck you bare."

"Wow you woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Edgar cawed from the poster of the bed.

"Let me put claws into your back and see if you wake up any better." I told him as I rolled off the bed. I didn't want to deal with him at the moment.

Once up I went to the bathroom to take a hot shower. It was nice to get the travel off, and the steam made me sigh in relif. Maybe this trip home would make things better. I would find out when I saw my mother I would guess. Out of the shower I pulled a towel around me heading into the room to go into the closet. Edgar was still hiding on the post of the bed. I ignored him as I went into the closet grabbing black jeans, a dark blue shirt. When I walked back out I dried my hair putting the towel back in the bathroom to dry.

"Showed a little skin I saw." Edgar spoke down to her. "Milky white, so perfect."

"That is gross, stop hitting on me. Your a bird." I glared up at him.

I grabbed my phone calling my dad to let him know I was in town and at the house. He was happy to hear that the trip was safe. I didn't however tell him about the bird that came with me. He said they would come out in a few hours. I wasn't sure I wanted to see my mom thought. I feared I would just make up upset again. It bothered me that I couldn't seem to stop being angry at her. I just wanted to have a happy family. Maybe I was off in the head I thought for the millionth time over the years. I left the room to go to the kitchen to get a bag of blood.

"What about me?" Edgar asked as I drank the blood from the bag.

"What about you? Pretty sure you can hunt your own food." I told him tossing the bag away.

"Rude vampire!" Edgar flew down from the fridge almost hitting my head. "At least you left the window open for me."

"Next time I won't. Claw my clothes or back again I will shut your feathery ass out." I told him as I went to the living room.

Sitting down I grabbed the remote to turn on the TV. I put in a call to Elyisum to see if she wanted to see me now or later. She said she would come up to see me. I smiled at that so I sat watching something about cheetah's. Edgar flew in at the same time that Elyisum appeared in the living room. She screamed and started shooing him away. I couldn't help but laugh as Edgar tried to explain.

"Get out, birds aren't supposed to be inside." Elyisum smacked Edgar with a book.

He dropped to the floor his feather's a mess and a few falling on the floor. I looked over to make sure he was still alive. Elyisum looked at me then to the bird. Putting the book back on the table she walked over to me to see if anything was wrong.

"How the hell did a Raven get into the house?" She sat on the couch next to me huffing like she couldn't catch her breath.

"Edgar is a crow, and I found him over seas. He is special though. Give it a moment." I told her laughing at the look on her face.

"Stupid fucking human! Why did you hit me? With a book at that." Edgar ruffled his feathers then saw he lost some. "Fuck, you made me lose feathers. You owe me for that."

"Did that bird just talk?" Elyisum asked looking from me to the bird.

"Yes I can talk, you are a bitch." Edgar finally settled his feathers hoping up on the table in front of us. "I should peck out your eyes."

"A rude bird at that." Elyisum glared at him but then looked at Raven. "I am so glad to see you again. How was the trip?"

"Rude...Hmph...You are the one who hit me." Edgar cawed at her. "You owe me at least two mice"

"It was a good trip over all, I figured that I would find a way to stop being so angry but it didn't happen. I even went off on my brother." I hated myself for doing that. He was the one person who always stood with me.

"That is strange, so let me get a few tubes of blood. I will see if there is anything in it that might tell us something. You might just need to have someone that you can talk to. Get the angry off your chest. It happens to some people. They don't see the good till it is turned bad. Maybe we should see if there is a therapiest in the coven." Elysium smiled brightly at me as she pulled a needle and tubes out.

After a moment she had to tubes filled and packed things up again. When she left I felt at ease. I just relaly liked being alone most of the time. Edgar hopped over to the couch to look at the TV.

"My god, what the hell are you watching?" Edgar looked at the cheetah eatting a deer.

"Oh Cheetah speical, not sure why. I just kind of turned it on and that was on. I didn't change it." I smiled brightly at him. "Maybe I can find some cartoons."

"What is a cartoon?" Edgar asked tiliting his head to looka t me.

"Oh lord, how long have you been a bird?" I asked worried that he missed alot of life.

"Umm, you know I can't recall how long it has been. I know that TV wasn't around then." Edgar told me looking at the TV.

That was a while ago, I felt bad for him. Missing out on so many things in life. He had been around the world for so long that he had forgotten that he had been human at one point in his life.
