Moving on with work

Moving on with work
Draven

Sometimes I hated calling my mouth. it was normally the same converstaion. Here of late it had changed. So many things had changed in my life and hers. She didn't know about me being able to walk in the daylilght. I sighed as the phone rang, after three rings she finally answered the phone with her normal tone of voice. Annoyed was her normal for everything in life. I have always wondered if she was just over living.

"Drave? Is all alright?" She asked me with worry in her voice.

"I am fine mother." I tried not to let my worry slip into my voice.

"Is Natalia alright?" She seemed to have taken to Nat.

"Well I have a few things I wanted to speak to you about, but the main thing is that we need to find someone that can help her. Mom she is pregnant." I heard the shar intake of breath she took when I told her that.

"Are you sure?" Mother breathed out the sentence with fear, joy and something else in her voice.

"Pretty sure, we don't have anyone here that can check to be one hundred percent. We need to put the word out that we need medical people here in the US. We are building a community that will be for all paranormal. I don't know if you would want to move here." I explained everything that they had decided to do. How it would help the community.

"I would love to move there, your father will as well. If we are going to be grandparents we will move closer. Let me see what I can find out. We want a house as well." The shound of her joy was coming through in her voice.

"Thanks Mother. I will put out the word through the chats." I told her, but I wasn't going to say that it was Nat that was pregnant.

After speaking to her for a little while longer we disconnected the call. I took to my computer to put out the word for medical personal. All types at this point. Also that we could use some more workers for the construction. All jobs would be paid well and I smiled when I recived at least twenty emails within the hour. A few of them were still in hiding for the most part. Doing night work that way they didn't have to deal with the sun. I went through a few of them, sending the info to my tech guy named Vincent. A human turned vampire who had been a hacker before he was turned. Now he worked with my company to do background checks, hiring and much more. What shocked me is that we got an email from an OBGYN. I still worried that this doctor wouldn't know a thing about vampire preganacy.

"Vincent, I need you to check out this woman for a job." I explained on the phone a moment later.

"Which one?" Vincent asked looking at the emails that had been sent to him. "Oh the lady doc."

"Yes, if she is for real we need to meet with her within a few days." I was over the moon to see that one come in.

"Let me run her background." Vincent told me as his fingers moved over the keys. "Looks like she appeared in the world around thrity years ago. Just poof there she is, nothing before that. You might want to see if she is an older vamp. Did she attach a photo?"

"No photos, I will email her back now. Get on the others." I disconnected th call as I wrote an email to the woman.

The email to Shannon was short an sweet. That they were interested in meeting with her to go over the job. Which night would work best for her. I knew it wouldn't take her long to get back to me if she was on the edge of that have to move due to aging. As I worked on some of the others I smiled at the number of people interested in this. Worry tugged at me that Natlia hadn't come back down from the room. Going up to check on her I found her on the bed curlled into a ball. Tears stained her face as she slept. I didn't want to wake her, but the sun was coming up and I needed to sleep. So with a smile I pulled the covers over her, then went to shower. As I came out of the room with a towel wrapped around my waist I looked over at her. She was slill asleep but she has streched out on the bed. I worried about what would happen in the future. Pulling on some night clothes I slide under the covers pulling her close. Even in sleep she snuggled close to me. Kissing her head I held her, feeling the pull of sleep.

I woke with a start, looking for Natalia who wasn't in the bed. When I looked toward the window I could see light shining over the top of the curtains. As I was about to get up to search for her she appeared out of the bathroom. She looked amazing, but she would say I was biased. When she turned to look at him a smile spread on her face.

"You are up early." Nat looked shocked, but sighed at the same time.

"I can't understand why, normally I would sleep all day. Today though I seem to need to be with you. I worry." I told her getting out of the bed to pull her into my arms.

"Worry is normal I would guess." Nat looked up at me. "I just wish we had a little more time, to be a couple. To get used to the idea of it. Hell to get married."

"I know, we will get married I promise." I kissed her soft lips. "I phoned my mother."

"What did she have to say?" The way she spoke was soft,

"She is over joyed about the baby. Also she wants to move here to be closer to help us. Didn't even ask Dad." I chuckled at the fact my mother would just move and make my father to do the same. "Also she is putting out fillers to see if she can find a OB for you."

"Yeah I don't think I should see a humand doctor unless they know about vampires." Nat pulled away from her turning toward her vanity.

"Are you alright? You seem.." I couldn't figure out the word for it. "less you."

"It is alot to take in. Getting married, building the community, and the pregnant. I thought you said that it was rear for vampires to have children." She watched me with the mirror in front ofher.

"It is alot to take in." I sighed. "It is very rare, most can't carry full term. It is why we are working so hard on finding a doctor for you."

"I get that." Natalia stopped looking at me, instead she started brushing her hair.
