Chapter 73 CHAPTER 73
"Look Roman, you seem to be a nice guy, but I can't tell you anything other than she is there for her protection. If you want to know more you will need to talk to Alpha Titan. Great here she comes, cover your head." He said I put up my hood quickly.
"I told you rouge you are to go up and see the Alpha; you have caused a disturbance around here. I would get a move on if I were you." Valen said to me I turned quickly and headed back to the pack house I wanted to find Alpha Titan and ask what the hell was going on. Why was he treating Raven like a prisoner. Even more important why was she letting him. I took the stairs two at a time to the second floor, found his office and knocked on his door. Come in a voice I did not recognize said. I went in and closed the door.
"I'm looking for Alpha Titan, my name is Ronan and I want some answers." I told the man.
"First of all I'm Beta Lance, second Alpha Titan is busy Roman." Beta told me not getting up from his desk.
"My apologize Beta Lance, maybe you can answer my question," I said bowing my head.
"Depends on the questions, would you like a cup of coffee?" He asked.
"Please, black thank you." I said and sat in a chair after he passed me the cup of hot coffee.
"So what do you want to know?" He asked leaning back in his chair.
"Raven was blind when she got here?" I asked. Now he learned forward onto his desk.
"I'm not permitted to answer any question about her. I also suggest you start calling her by her name "Jane" or you will find yourself in a heap of trouble friend or no friend." Do I make myself clear?" He said angrily.
"Yah, you do. You tell your Alpha I want to see Jane and I want some answers to why you just letting that bitch have free run of the pack Instead of just killing her." I growled at him and got up and left not touching the coffee he gave me. I went down the hall to my room and slammed the door closed when I was inside. I went to look out the window being careful not to be seen and there was Imara with that girl from the pack waking and talking to people like they were something special.
"I will kill you myself if I have to Imara, you best be watching the shadows." I said out loud to myself. Then I heard someone clear his throat. I turned around quickly on the defence. Then stopped and bowed my head.
"Alpha Titan." I addressed him.
"Roman, let's go down to my private gym and have a chat shall we." I said. It was not a question it was a command. I nodded my head and followed him. We went down the elevator three floor then walked past a gym where warriors were working out and sparing. He unlocked a door aways down the hall and turned on the light. After we went in he hit a button on the wall. Part of the wall opened, and he waved me to follow him. Once inside he closed over the opening.
"No one can hear us here, so you may speak freely. I looked around the room there was a small table with four chairs. The rest of the room was a brown color. There was nothing on the walls. No carpeting on the floor. What had I just walked into.
"Relax Roman, we are here to talk nothing else, by the look on your face you figured out what this room is for. But not today. I thought it would be the best place to talk as it is soundproof." I nodded but kept my guard up. Alpha Titan went to a wall and pushed another button out popped a whole array of alcohol beverages. He took down a bottle of whiskey and two glasses then went and sat at the table putting his feet up on the table.
"Whiskey?" He asked.
"Not much of a drinker," Alpha. I said.
"Suit yourself he said taking his feet off the table and poured himself a glass of whiskey.
"Raven is having a nap. So, I have sometime to answer all your questions." He said.
"Why is everyone calling Raven, Jane?" I asked.
"Ah, well when Imara came here she has decided to pass herself off as Raven. So, for now, we are playing her game. You may think she is walking around freely in the pack, but we have my top warriors on her at all times." He told me.
"Why is Raven locked up in that room?" I asked.
"Raven is there of her own free will, she is terrified of Imara and Jessica." He told me.
"Why am I not permitted to visit her," I asked.
'You may visit her, just not in our bedroom." Titan said.
"Your bedroom?" I asked
"Raven has accepted to be my wife as well as mate. Do you have a problem with that, Roman?" He asked.
"Hell no Alpha congratulations." I said pouring that drink he offered me.
Now it is my turn to ask you questions, Roman.
"What would you like to know Alpha. I'm an open book." I told him.
"What pack were you born into? Why did you leave? How long have you been a rouge? And everything in between." He asked pouring another whiskey.
"Well let's see. I was born into the silver lake pack life was good there. When my mother passed away from an illness. My father took to drinking and he started to beat down on us. I was fourteen at the time my other brother was seventeen. He went to live in the guard house and well I took off. I lived alone for awhile avoiding other rouges. I had hoped I would find a pack that would take me in but the longer I was out there the more comfortable I became. I met Nigel when I was in my mid twenties he had taken quite a beating from some rogues. I nursed him back to health and we started to travel together. We would do odd jobs for humans to make money. But we never took anything that did not belong to us. We never got involved in attacking any packs. After I guess about six years we were really hoping to find some place to settle and stop wondering all over. We had found a run down broken old cabin in the northwest, and it smelled of bear. We waited a year to see if a werebear came back to claim it.
