"From the time I have spent with them they are different I don't know their back stories yet. But they are different. Speaking of family have we found out about her mother and brother yet?" I asked.
"No but council has been out for the summer they are back next week. The special police and someone on the council must know something. I know your mother said Ravens mother was special like Raven and we needed to get her back home. I will keep working on it."
"Thank you, maybe I will go up and see Raven now. Maybe we can settle on a date for our mating ceremony. If you need me link me other wise I will see you tomorrow." I said getting up and going to the elevator only to find Jessica standing there waiting for me.
"What do you want Jessica? You should not even be on this floor." I asked. I did not want to deal with this now..
"Why is that rouge on your floor in your room?" Jessica asked.
"It is none of your business who is on my floor or in my room or not in my room I was nice to you we hung out. I never promised you anything or did anything with you. Hell, I never even kissed you. Get it out of your head you will not be Luna now or ever. Go home to your parents before I lose my patience with you " I told her trying to move around her to get on the elevator.
"Titan you can't mean any of that." Jessica cried.
"You and the whole pack has known I have waited for the woman who’s name is on the necklace that she was my true mate.” I told her.
"Is that who the rouge is Titan are you sure. What about the Raven in the cottage?"
"Stay away from her, she is bad news she will get you in more trouble then you already are in." I warned her.
"You don't get to decide who I'm friends with." Jessica yelled.
"No I don't, it was free advice. Good night." I said and got on the elevator used my card and went up. I went to my room and had a hot shower before going to see Raven.
I put on my pajama bottom, and an old T-shirt grabbed the latest reports slipped on my slippers and went across the hall to Raven's room. I knocked on the door and then let my self in locking the door as I closed it.
"Titan this is not good." Raven said. I was getting use to her knowing I was there.
"What is not so good?" I asked going to sit beside her.
'Titan how much did you drink?' Raven asked.
"Three shots, sorry is it that bad?" I asked
"I can live with it, So Imara and Jessica have met." Raven said.
"How?" I asked her. She showed me the book in her lap.
"I only just finished it before you came in the door."
"This makes me wonder if I will ever be able to surprise you with anything." I said sitting down beside her. I only draw bad thing or warnings. Well, that is not true either is it I drew you for such a long time not knowing who you were. I can't help it. I'm sorry." Raven said upset now.
"I was teasing you, Raven." I tried to tell her.
"No this is a curse; I need to stop drawing honestly we need to lock it all away from me." Raven said in tears.
"Why do you say that It is a gift one that helps us." I told her.
"Titan please just take it away." She said standing and walking away from me.
"Raven what else did you draw that has you so upset?," I asked her.
"Third book second row," was all she said and went out onto the balcony crying. I went over and got the book she said and opened it to the last picture. I smiled and then laughed. I put the book back where it was and went out to her.
"What is your answer?" I asked her.
"To what?" she asked not turning to me.
"To the picture you drew." I said reaching into my pajama pants pocket pulling out the ring that was my grandmother's. My mother had given it two days ago to give to Raven, to ask her to marry me not just have a mating ceremony. I reach for her hand, but she pulled it away.
"Titan this is not a good time for this." She said.
"But according to our history book this is exactly the time." I said reaching for her hand again this time she let me take it.
"Raven I love you so much, the mating ceremony is not enough I want you to be my wife please say you will marry me?" I asked.
"I love you too, but ...." I did not let her finish I dropped her hand and out the ring back in my pocket as I went back inside off the balcony. I needed a drink, so I went to my room where I knew I had a bottle of whiskey leaving both door open. I poured the whiskey and downed it. Then had another. Then I took the ring and put it back in my drawer in the box it came from and went to stand looking out the window. I saw Jessica sneaking in the back door of Imara's cottage. I linked Juno and told him. I instructed him to listed to what they were talking about. When I went back into Ravens room she was still on the balcony sitting in a chair the night was chilly, so I grabbed the throw off the couch and wrapped it around her shoulders. She was starting to braid her hair. I kissed her forehead and went back into the room going to my room I closed her door then closed mine. I put away the whiskey and sat in one of my chairs going over reports from the last few days. "You need to go slower; Titan her mind is on those two women go back to her. Thunder said.
"You think I don't know that I just wanted to give her something to make her happy."
"Let her take the lead Titan she is not ready, I hope what you just did does not make her cancel the mating ceremony. Then I will be very angry with you, this is about me too." He snarled at me. He was right. But I just wanted us to be together and happy." My mothers word echoed in my head "All in good time son." I guess I fell asleep reading reports. I woke up and it was four am. I went across the hall the door was locked. I went back to my room and got into my cold empty bed and tried to go back to sleep.
