Chapter 54 CHAPTER 54
She showed me the second picture it was a big smiling head. I try hard not to laugh. I got control of myself.
"Sorry Raven your Smilie face was unexpected." I told her.
"I know, I laughed too. This woman is deceptive and cunning. She will tell you what tou want to hear even if it is not the truth. You need to be careful of rouges coming." She said I could hear some fear in her voice.
"One of our friends who has been helping us try and track the Rouge King saw a woman on her way here alone. They left her to make her journey. Do you think this is her?" I asked.
"I don't know, this could be her or one that comes in two months. It is a warning to be careful. That is all I can tell you." Raven said. Then closed the book and cuddled close to me. He closeness and the lingering of our kiss earlier was starting to make me aroused.
"Raven, maybe we should go for a walk, I know your not ready for what my body is wanting." I told her. She stood up fast, I gently grabbed her arm, so she did not fall. I looked up at her face she was blushing. Grab your house coat and sneakers we can get hot coco and go for a walk in the garden. I also know you came up before desert, and the cook saved you some in the fridge downstairs. Would you like that?" I asked her.
"We would have to go through the main hall?"
She asked quietly. I clue in to why she was asking.
"Dinner is over, there will only be a handful of guards either having a late dinner or hanging out drinking a couple of beer just getting off patrol." I told her smiling. I watched as she went and got her house coat and sneakers and sat on the couch. I went over and helped her with tie her sneakers then putting on her house coat. I linked Valen garden walk and closed the link. He knew his job from there. Raven and I left her room as she closed the door I asked her to give me a min and I ran into my room and grabbed my house coat. Then joined her back in the hall. Giving her my arm we went down to the elevator. We got to the main hall as I had predicted there were a few guards hanging around and some worker going in and out. Raven stood by the counter in the kitchen while I made us coco. Marshmallows? I asked making her jump at how close I was to her. She nodded her head.
"Raven, relax love I'm almost done. I have two nice travel mugs here with nice lids. I will wash the pot later. I was thinking we could walk down to the water if you like?" I asked.
"Water?" Raven questioned.
"We have our own little lake her that flows off down threw the pack lands." I explained.
"That would be nice," Raven said I could feel how anxious she was hearing the small amount of people talking. I linked Valen, "Going out the door through the main hall."
"Why not the kitchen door?" He asked.
"People have to start getting use to see her and both of us together no more hiding." I told him and closed the link. I passed Raven her travel mug and then gave her my arm going out into the main hall as we walked by people they would stop what they were doing and say good evening Alpha and Luna. Raven flinched the first couple of time but then said good evening back. I needed for her to see one person option was not everyone’s.
"Alpha let me get the door for you, their are a bunch of new recruits down by the east side of lake celebrating their2⁰ pass to their final level before basic guards." Miller told me as we went outside.
"Thank you, for the heads up, I will assume they have been drinking?" I asked.
"Yah, more than likely." He said.
"Thank you again. Have a good night." I said dismissing him.
"Do we need to worry about that?" Raven asked.
"No, not at all," I told her as we walked down the path. Valen and Deisel not far behind and Kale and Juno behind them. As we walked Raven started to name the flowers she could smell. We stepped out of the garden onto the path to the lake as we chatted about Lances other pups and mate. Raven was actually starting to relax she even laughed. It was music to my ears.
"You have a beautiful laugh, I hope I can hear it more often." I told her. She blushed. This had been a good idea.
"We are coming to the bank of the lake; at this spot we can sit the water is about two feet below us. I put down the blanket I had grabbed from the kitchen cupboard marked picnic stuff, and laid it on the ground.
"There is a blanket at you feet in front of you, would you like me to hold your coco while you get settled on the blanket?" I asked.
"Thank you, I can smell the water. It is so different now then before, the smell of the wet sand the moss, fish. Everything is so different and so much more alive then when I would just walk by a river or stream before." Raven said as she sat on the blanket and touched the ground and grass beside it. I had never seen it the way she described it. I passed her back her coco. Then I sat down beside her facing the water her back to me. Raven reach out and found my hand.
"Tell me what the moon and star look like?" She asked. I moved closer to her, so her shoulder was just touching my chest
"Let us see the sky is clear tonight and the half moon shines down into the lake. There are a million stars in the sky. It is a beautiful night, but not as beautiful as you are." I said to her. She laughed.
"That is horrible Alpha Titan, the worst pick up lines ever." She said laughing.
"No pickup lines Miss Raven, just telling how it is. I told her kissing her neck.
"So when you go out are you always followed?" Raven asked with a smile.
"When escorting such a beautiful woman yes. How long have you known they were there?" I asked tempting fate and kissing between her neck and shoulder. Raven leaned back into me. Moaning.
"The whole time, I picked up their footsteps as soon as we got off the elevator but did not know for sure until we got outside. Remember Valen is my bodyguard I know the sound of his walk, just like I know yours." She told me quite happy with herself.
