Chapter 28 CHAPTER 28
I had had it on speaker, so Lance heard everything. Why would someone do such a thing to her?" He asked.
"I don't know but if I ever find them They will die by my hands." I told him.
"Fran has asked if she is permitted to redecorate the Beta floor?" He asked. I laughed.
"Tell her hell yes. It is her new home she can do anything she wishes. Just have everything billed to me." I said.
"She thanks you. She has also said she will help with the girl’s recovery when you bring her to the pack house. " Lance said smiling.
"You can re-do your office anytime. It smells of old wolf in there." I shuttered. Lance laughed. I filed the paperwork having Koda charged with attempted murder. Then faxed it to the council. I looked at the time it was almost two in the afternoon. I went to the kitchen to beg Maggie our head cook for some scraps.
"How is the new arrival doing Alpha," she asked as she made me up a plate of food.
"Michael said we would not know for sure for at least forty-eight hours." I told her. When you bring her here to the pack house I will be sure she eats well." She said.
"You're so sure I will bring her here?" I asked.
"Titan I have been around to know the look in your eyes. What room do you want done up for her?"
"The room across from mine with the large balcony make sure there are new linins on the bed, new pillows...." Maggie patted my hand I will make it perfect for our Luna, Titan. " she said smiling.
"She will need night clothes and under clothing, house coat, slippers ...." again she stopped me. I will make sure to go shopping and get what she needs dear nephew don't worry." She smiled. I pulled out my wallet and gave her my black card.
"I trust your judgement. Just bring me the card when your done." I said. She kissed me on the forehead and placed a plate of food in front of me. Eat and go shower before you go back to the hospital." She told me then left the kitchen. Aunt Maggie was my mother’s older sister. She had worked all her life in the kitchen. It was where she was happy. There was no one I trusted more besides my mother to look after the girl. But mother was still Luna. She was always busy. I had a shower and put on clean clothes then went to the garden and picked a bunch of flowers to take with me to the pack hospital.
IMARA'S POV
I woke up to find myself in a comfortable bed. I had tube in my veins and my head was pounding.
"Hal the woman named Imara is awake." A woman told the man who saved us. The man walked over to the bed I was in.
"Nice to see you awake Imara, how are you feeling?" He asked
"I'm not sure yet. Where am I?" I asked.
"You are in our temporary home." He told me.
"Why did you bring us here?" I asked
"Would you rather I left you to die?" Hal said.
"Are you the Alpha?" I ask. He smiled.
"Enough questions for now you still need to rest Imara.
"No!, I need to go. Thank you for everything but really I have to catch up with someone." I told him trying to get out of the bed. He grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me back on the bed.
"You still need to rest I told you. If you try to get out of this bed I will have you tied to it." He said harshly. Then walked away and talked to the woman then left. A few minutes later she came and put something in the tube going to my arm and I fell asleep. When I woke up again I did feel much better. But I would not let them drug me again. How far was I from where We had been? I had to get out of here and find that little bitches trail. When I catch her I'm going to make her sorry she was ever born.
"Are you feeling better, Imara." The woman named Fran asked.
"Yes, thank you much better. Tell me where the ones are you rescued with me?" I asked.
"All but one recover and have left the hospital. The one died before we got here. Hal was unsure if you would recover at all why he demanded you stay in bed and us sedate you for a couple of days. So, you would heal faster." She told me.
"Where is he now? I want to leave." I asked her.
"He is busy right now, but I will let him know you requested to see him." She said. I did not like this. I want the hell out of here. About two hours later Hal finally showed up."
"I was told you wanted to see me Imara." He said as he approached my bed.
"I want to leave this place right now. I have to find someone who was with us she is only young. She is only 17 my niece actually I terrified what happened to her, when we got attack I made her run. I need to find her. I do appreciate everything you have done for me." I said. I know it was a lie sort of I did need to find Raven.
"That is a long way back Imara." Hal told me.
"I have survived on my own before, I can be very resourceful when I need to be." I told him.
"The thing is Imara no one leaves once they are here. We brought you here to serve a purpose" Hal said his tone changed. I did not like it.
"What do you want to keep me here for?" I asked.
"To harvest your organs. To save our people of course." He told me in a serious tone. I could see the seriousness on his face.
"No, you can't just kidnap people to harvest
Their organs." I said getting out of the bed.
"Who is going to miss a bunch of rouges who were already left for dead. No one. But thank you I shall send the other group back that way a seventeen-year-old organs will go to good use." He said and walked over to the woman named Fran.
"We need to harvest one of her kidney tomorrow Teds daughter can not wait any longer." Then left two large men came in and tried to corner me. But I was faster then they thought. I got out of the room and ran down the stairs entering another floor I saw a door that said change room. I slipped inside. People had clothes hanging in cubicles. I grabbed that clothes and shoes I could and checked the pockets quickly for money. Then I left through the back entrance and ran into the woods.
