Chapter 25 CHAPTER 25
HAWKIN'S POV
I stood looking in the mirror adjusting my tie.
"Hawk, come here and let me fix that," Wayne my best friend said. I walked over to where he was by the fire and he fixed my tie.
"Why are you so nervous it is not like you, and Clare have not has sex before." He laughed.
"Hey, keep that to yourself, I should never had told you." I said.
"I'm not going to yell anyone. I hope you were not drinking this morning." Wayne said.
"No I have had nothing for two days but hell I have wanted too." I told him. I went and sat on my bed and pulled the worn wanted poster out from under my pillow and looked at it. Then closed my eyes.
"Is that her, you never showed me the picture." he said as he took it from my hand he whistled dam she is beautiful. You said no to her?" He asked. I grabbed the paper back.
"She was only sixteen, it would have been wrong. But there is not a day that goes by that I don't regret it."
"So you never rejected her after she did you." "I can't do it, why do you make yourself suffer. You know after three and a half years she is not coming back to you." He said.
"The pain is a reminder of what an ass I was."
"What does Clare think of this whole pining for Raven. She knows Raven is my mate too. But me marking Clare today and her marking me will supposedly break the bond with Raven. Because she already rejected me." I told him. Well to be on the safe side you best hide that picture from Clare. I bet she don't know you still have it. Wayne said. I never got to respond there was a knock at the door I shoved the picture back under my pillow and stood up. Wayne answered the door as I put on my tux jacket. It is time boys. We left and went to the centre garden of the pack the flowers were in full bloom we stood to the left of Alpha Hunter the pack had gathered around us. I was no longer a guard when Alpha Hunter learned about my teacher qualifications he made me headmaster of the schools. This gave me more money and a higher rank in the pack. I could see all the students that had come to watch the ceremony. Music started playing then people moved aside. There stood my beautiful mate Clare dressed all in white. Her guardian father walked her to me I had tears in my eyes. He shook my hand then gave me Clare's. We stood in front of Alpha Hunter as he preformed the simple mating ceremony. After our hands were bound. I smiled at Clair then kissed her sweetly on the lips. People congratulated us and we were then made official members of the pack. After all the toasting was done I scooped up my mate and took her to our new home. We spent time talk soon things got heated and I made love to her the way I should have the first time. As I was ready to mark her I looked into
I was ready and she was to.
"Are you sure I asked her she smiled both of us breathing hard, she nodded. I liked the marking spot driving her crazy with desire my teeth protruded and I marked her. She grabbed me and did the same we climaxed together. But I made one fatal mistake I called out Ravens name and not Clare's. Then I felt a deep pain in my chest I could not breath. Clare got to her knees beside me. The pain finally left. I grabbed Clare
"I'm your and only yours Clare the bond between Raven and I has been broken I am all your forever my love."
"Is that why you screamed her name?" she asked.
"Yes, because she left my heart. I am all yours." I lied. But it didn't matter I could no longer feel the longing for Raven. We laughed and talked about how much we would always miss Raven. But she was lost to us, she had gone rouge. Or so we thought.
Later that night after we had returned to the celebration and everyone saw us marked. Clare went to bring her thing to our new home, and I went and got mine. I took the picture of Raven and looked at it. I felt a pain in my heart. I folded it back up and put it in my bag I would fine a place in my office at the new house to hide it. Forgive me Clare I said putting it in the bag and headed to be with my mate.
ROMAN'S POV
It was late in the morning when I woke up. I turned to see Kyle and Nigel were just waking up. I looked to see if Raven was still sleeping but she was not in the shelter. I sniffed the air I could smell no fire and no coffee. I went to get up and an envelope fell onto my blanket. Both Kyle and Nigel had one too.
Then I noticed all of Raven's things were gone.
"Damit, she left in the middle of the night." I said. We all went out and made the fire then put on coffee. Each of us lost in our own thoughts opened and read the letter.
My Dearest Roman,
Thank you for everything you have done for me over the past three and a half year. I must make the rest of my trip alone. I wish you well and hope you find someone to be happy with. All my love forever. Raven.
All our letters were basically the same. Tears fell from my eyes as I looked at the picture she had done of her and me.
"I hope you find what you have been looking for sweet child." I said. Then carefully put it back in the envelope. There was an emptiness in camp now. We had no idea where we would head next.
TITAN'S POV
It was early summer I was having my usual Saturday dinner with my mother and sister Kendra. Kendra was a lot younger than me just 21 years to my 35. She was a ball of energy and kept my mother quite busy most of the time. Her long red hair flowed down her back almost to her waist. She had not yet developed the violet eye but not everyone does. She was tall yet had but had the proper curves in the right places. Kendra had many suitors. But she rejected them all.
"Titan you are quiet tonight." Mother said.
"Sorry, mother. I have not been very good company lately." I apologize.
"You must not dwell on what is yet to come son. It will come when it does we have no control over this." Mother said touching my arm.
"Titan are you still waiting for the woman who's name is engraved on that necklace?" Kendra asked.
