Chapter 23 CHAPTER 23

Chapter 23 CHAPTER 23
He took me out of the tent and made me stand in front of a really nasty smelly person.
"Why is she blindfolded?" The man in front of me asked.
"Her eyes are dangerous my King" Imara said.
"Hog wash. remove it at once. I want to see the color of her eyes." He demanded.
When they took the blindfold off the sun hurt my eyes and I closed them quickly.
"Open your eyes!" Imara demanded shaking me by one arm. Terrified I opened my eyes.
"Look up at me girl" the man demanded.
Imara pulled my hair so I would lift my head.
"What are you trying to pull, Talon her eyes are blue not violet." You shall pay for wasting my time. Imara swung me around to face her.
"What did you do? How are your eyes blue?" She screamed at me.
"My eyes have been blue since the day I was born. I told her it was not a lie. I had no idea what happened to my eyes. Why had they gone back to blue.
"Because we have the power to change them to any color now that you have come into your full powers." Spirit whispered.
Imara threw me to the ground and went after the man they were calling the King.
"She did something; to change her eyes King please I have seen them violet. He took his huge hand and slapped her so hard she fell to the ground. I was struggling to get my hands free. When someone picked me up from behind and ran with me.
"Let me go," I said as I struggled to get free.
"Raven, stop." Roman said. I stopped struggling. He carried me into the forest and removed my bindings.
"All our thing are not far from here. Stay quiet. What did you do to your eyes?" He asked.
"Spirit changed them we have the ability to do so now that I have come of age." I told him. Talon was yelling at Imara they still had not notice I was gone.
"Why are we still here? they will catch us" I said.
"No that is what they will think we have done and go looking for us. Kyle and Nigel have made fake escape routes making them go in circles.
"Tonight when the Rouge King attacks we can make our escape." Nigel said. Imara finally noticed I was gone.
"Where is she? find her." She screamed at the other rogues. They did not move until Talon waved them to go. I guess the queen bee was not the queen anymore.
"You waisted my time Imara, for the last time. We are done pack your things. Before I kill you myself. Talon yelled at her.
"Talon you saw her eyes yourself. She did something we must get her back and make her tell us what she did." Imara begged him. He pushed her aside and whistled very loud the rouges started coming back. We leave in the morning to go north find supplies close by and watch your backs the King could retaliate after this. We moved a little further into the forest but could still see and hear everything. We waited and watched. I did nothing so they would not find us. Roman nudged me and passed my notebook and pencil case to keep me occupied. As I drew time went by quickly.
"Who is that?" Roman asked.
"I do not know, the pencil just draws him." I saw.
"He looks very sad." Roman pointed out.
"He is waiting for something that has not come to him for a long time." I said.
"How do you know that?" He asked.
"I don't know I just do." I said. Suddenly there were torches closes to us. Roman took my book and case and put them in my bag. Putting his finger to his lips for me to be quiet. They passed with in three feet of us. I was frozen with terror. But they passed us. Heading to the rouge camp, where Imara was still begging Talon to go after me. When the torches entered the rough camp Talon and Imara went silent.
"Who are you and what do you want here?" Talon asked in a forceful voice almost as strong as an Alpha's.
"We have been sent by the King. You dishonored him made him a fool. We have been sent to punish you for your crime." A very tall man said. Talon laughed.
"Your, how many, twelve? Think you can take out thirty plus." Talon taunted. Imara had grabbed her bag and was trying to slip away into the forest but was pushed back to camp by another set of men holding torches. Talon started looking for away to run. But the tall man grabbed him.
"You should never have tried to sell the Rouge King a Fire Sky Child. They are scared and must never be harmed. For this you shall pay with your life. One of Talons rouges attacked the man holding Talon and all hell broke lose. Roman grabbed my arm and dragged me from the screaming and growling. We traveled east all night. Roman found a small shelter and we camped there for two day.
"We will leave in the morning, Raven. We will be your protectors until you are where you are going. Roman told me.  This made me happy. But for how long life could change one day to the next when you were a rouge.
HAL'S POV

We had been traveling west for a few days now. I had hoped we would find a pack this way we needed help. What we came across made me want to toss my lunch. About twenty to twenty-five body’s give or take it was hard to tell some never shifted back. Others were just parts of bodies.
"Hal, we have one alive here." Sam yelled to me. We started to see if anyone else was alive.
"I found a woman over here she is alive too." Nic yelled. After searching everyone we found five in total still alive two women and three men. We put them in the wagon and left the area. When we were a good ten miles from the area we set up camp and started treating their wounds Zara and Fran made bandages then gathered herbs to make pain medication.  Thomas caught a rabbit and made soup with it. To feed the wounded.
The one woman watched us cautiously.
I took her a glass of fresh water. She took it with shaking hands drinking it not taking her eyes off me.
"Do you think you can talk?" I asked her to look at the wound on her head. She nodded.
"What is your name?" I asked her.
"Imara," she said coughing.
"Imara my name is Hal we are the last of our pack." I told her not quiet the truth, but we didn't need to put the woman, children and other men in dangers way. Really about fifty of us had survived the attack on our pack a year ago. Those who were left we lived up in the mountains to the east.
