Chapter 95 A Love That Can’t Be Explained
“It was written, Fernando Buenavista, is there any other Buenavista apart from Fernando!"
Ana could not say anything.
“You are such a liar Ana?” Emiliano said in anger as he drank his alcohol.
Ana walked back to the living room and turned to face him “Because you dislike Fernando and we had an argument the last time because of him which is why I lied”
Emiliano laughed “You always have a reason for lying”
“Yes and my reasons are always valid, you should know I don’t lie if there is no good reason” Ana said.
“So bold of you to lie, will it have killed you if you told the truth?” he looked up at her.
“Because you dislike Fernando, I did not want to get you in a bad mood”
“Haven’t you ever wondered why I dislike him so much?”
Ana paused and looked at him "Enough Emiliano, it’s enough” Ana said and turned to walk away again.
“So you know why?” Emiliano asked in shock.
Ana froze
Emiliano stood up and walked towards where she was standing then faced her “Ana did you know?” Emiliano did not want to believe that she had always known about how he felt towards her.
Ana was tongue tied, she stood there looking at him.
“Do not lie to me Ana, I’m begging you, please tell me the truth” Emiliano pleaded.
Ana swallowed “It’s late Emiliano, let’s not disturb the others sleeping” Ana said.
“We won’t, just tell me the truth, please,” he said.
Ana bites her bottom lip before nodding slowly.
Emiliano gasped and shifted back while looking at her from head to toe “You knew how I have always felt about you and yet you dismissed my feelings? You knew and yet you always matchmaked me with other women and always talk me into finding a girlfriend and getting into something serious and also getting married. You knew and yet you always talked about me being family” Emiliano said as he felt deeply hurt.
He was thinking she did not know all these years but yet she knew and acted like she didn’t know he loved her and wanted to have a romantic relationship with her.
“How long?”
“That doesn’t matter”
“How long!!?” Emiliano shouted.
Ana breathed in and out “4 years ago”
“4 years ago?”
Ana nodded
“When exactly?” He asked because he wanted to know when she knew.
“ When I had a minor accident and you confessed to me thinking I was unconscious.
Emiliano was in awe “Wow!!” He ran a hand in his hair.
“Emiliano, you do not expect me to have confronted you about it,” Ana said.
“Yes!! You should have said it and told me how you felt that way. I would have given up a long time ago!!” Emiliano said in anger.
“Keep your voice down,” Ana said calmly.
Emiliano walked around in frustration
“I’m sorry, I'm sorry for hurting you Emiliano. I thought you were going to move on as time went by” Ana said
“Move on? When I was yet to know how you felt? When I was still hoping that you would learn to love me and give me a chance!!”
Ana felt so bad “I’m sorry, please” she said.
“So after all these years you never saw a place in your heart to love me?”
Ana was silent but shakes her head slowly “I’m sorry Emiliano, I tried. I thought I would learn to love you and start a family with you but I was not able to. Which is why I wanted you to date other women so that you will be able to forget me”
Tears rolled down Emiliano’s eyes “Ana, do you even know how much I love you. My love for you is something I can’t even explain. There is no way I can just move on from you!!”
Emiliano moved closer to her “I have tried to move on but I can’t and seeing you run to Fernando makes me mad and angry. Seeing you becoming close to him again pisses me off” Emiliano said as he clenched his fist.
The look she saw in his eyes made Ana frightened “Emiliano I’m..”
“Enough!! I do not want to hear your apology. I’m leaving” he said
Ana watched him as he left her house.
She sat down on the couch and wept.
The next said when she got to the office her secretary came in to bring some documents for signing.
“Good morning ma'am, you need to sign this document” Her secretary placed the document on her table.
Ana raised her head and looked at it.
“Of mine, ma'am are you okay?” The secretary asked in worry.
“Why do you ask?” Ana asked as she went through the documents.
“Because your eyes looks swollen like you did not sleep at all last night”
“Yes I didn’t”
“Ma’am is everything okay, do you want me to get you something for the eye?” the secretary asked.
“No need, I will be fine”
“Are you sure ma’am”
Ana looked at her questionably.
“Sorry ma’am” the secretary looked down, she was being too nosy.
“This document is supposed to be signed by the president. If he is not yet in the office then keep it and give it to him to sign when he comes” Ana said as she moved the documents away.
“Ma’am, I got an email from his assistant that he had left the country for a business trip”
Ana looked at the secretary in surprise “Did you confirm if this is true?”
“Yes ma’am, didn’t he inform you that he has a business trip related to the Blanco Group?”
Ana was lost in thought.
Seeing that she did not respond the secretary bowed her head and walked out.
He had suddenly left for a business trip without informing her.
Ana wanted to send him an email or text but decided against it, what was the point of doing so when he didn’t even inform her about it.
Ana buried herself in work and at 1pm she received a call from Thea’s school teacher.
Seeing that call made her panicked. The teacher never calls her; she only sends a text regarding anything that has to do with Thea.
She feared it was something serious and immediately picked the call.
“Hello teacher”
“Ma’am, Thea got injured in school and we rushed her to the hospital please you need to come immediately I will send the hospital location”
“What did you just say!!? How did that happen!!” Ana shouted.
“I will tell you the details when you come”
“I’m on my way, send me the location immediately” she hung up and rushed out of the office at full speed.
She hoped nothing serious happened to her baby.
