Chapter 67 Mummy Is Enough

Chapter 67 Mummy Is Enough
Ana could see the seriousness in his face but she made sure to stay calm.

“I do not know you very well to speak to you in private. I do not want people to have the wrong idea especially your girlfriend who seems to be the jealous type”

Fernando still held her hand not wanting to let go. He needed to know who she really is and how she has a lot in common with Ana”

Ana waited for him to let go of her but it doesn’t seem like he planned on doing so.

Ana did not know how to get out of this situation. Now was not the time to reveal herself to him so she needs to be careful with anything she says.

Emiliano saw the situation and immediately excused himself from the people he was talking to and went to where both of them were standing.

He carefully removed Fernando’s hand away from hers and stood at the front.

“Move,” Fernando said in anger.

“Mr Buenavista, you are embarrassing my partner by holding her hand against her wish. You just got to know her today and no she is not the Ana you know. I understand how shocked you might be but please do not cause a scene” Emiliano said to him.

Fernando looked at Ana standing close to Emiliano. He stared at her for a long seconds before turning around and walking away.

Ana had seen the sadness in his eyes and she could not explain the feeling in her heart.

“Are you okay?” Emilino asked her

Ana nodded “I’m fine”

He moved close to her “Are you sure”?

Ana nodded “It was expected that he will act this way”

You should take your seat and leave after an hour. I will get acquainted with the other invitees.

Ana nodded and went to sit down.

Her eyes moved around and she saw Silvia going to Fernando. She saw the way Silvia wrapped her eyes around him.

She stared at them until Silvia's eyes moved to her. She did not remove her gaze, instead she stared at Silvia intently and Silvia raised her brow and glared at her.

Silvia clenched her fist. She was going to make sure Fernando doesn’t get close to this woman that looks like Ana.

She was really scared when she saw this woman’s face and heard her voice. For a bit second she thought the other Ana had resurrected from the dead but turns out she was just her look alike.

Silvia looked at Fernando who was now looking at that woman and the woman was doing the same.

She fumed, If Fernando tries to get close to Ana. She might just end up getting rid of two Ana’s. Silva smiled to herself.

After an hour Ana left the event and returned home to Thea who was fast asleep.

Ana smiled as she stared at her cute face.

Her daughter was so beautiful with dark hair and blue eyes just like Fernando’s and she had similar facial features with him. She didn't need any DNA to prove Thea was his daughter. The resemblance was obvious which is why she makes sure to cover her face because she knows Fernando is monitoring her and her daughter.

Ana kissed her cheek and that made her open her eyes.

Mummy you are back, Thea sat up and smiled at her mother.

“Oops I thought you were sleeping my baby”

Thea shakes her head “I was waiting for you to come back so you will read me a story.

Ana smiled and nodded, "Of course, what story do you want me to read for you, my love?"

Thea jumped up from her bed and went to her mini library to bring a book. She brought an interesting princess book and gave it to her body to read for her.

She got into the bed and covered herself with the duvet.

“I’m ready!!” she said excitedly.

Ana laughed and nodded “Okay I will start from the beginning”

Ana proceeded to read it to her. It was about a princess who had only a mother who is the queen and doesn’t know who her father is. Her mother ruled the entire kingdom without a husband or king.

Ana did not think much about it since it was not the first time she was reading it to her but when she saw the sad look on her daughter's face she stopped reading to her.

“What’s wrong my love, you do not like the story anymore? I will just read another one for you”

She shaked her head and looked at her mother “I like it. It's just that after re-reading it for so long I realized I’m just like this princess who has no father”

Ana was speechless, she closed the book and held her daughter's hand. This was the first time Thea will be talking about this.

“Who is my father's mummy, why isn’t he in our life?” Thea asked her mother and waited for an answer.

Ana has always been afraid that a time will come when her daughter will ask about her father and the time had finally come and she was really scared. She has planned on what to say to her but now words failed her.

“Did anyone ask you about it in school?” Ana asked. She felt it wasn’t just the book that triggered her.

Thea nodded “My classmate asked who my father is since it’s just you who comes to drop and pick me from school” she said sadly.

Ana sighed, this made her sad. She looked at her daughter whose eyes watered.

Ana hugged her “Shuus, don’t cry okay. Mummy will tell you about him but not now. Now is not the time to know who he is”

“Why?”

Ana looked at her face and cleaned her tears “It’s the best for now”

“Why doesn’t he want to know me?”

“It’s not my love, he doesn't know about you yet but I can’t allow both of you to meet yet because it’s not safe yet. It’s not just the right time for safety reason”

Thea nodded and looked down at her hand sadly.

Ana hugged her again “You have mummy don’t you?”

Thea nodded “Yes I have mummy and mummy is enough”
