Chapter 58 Double Crossed

Chapter 58 Double Crossed
It’s been six years of trying to look for Ana’s mother and sister. Six years ago he had spent weeks searching for the hospital Emiliano had transferred them to and later discovered he had left the country but the flight record showed he had travelled alone.

So where was Ana’s surviving family, where did Emiliano hide them?

Fernando has spent so much resources looking for them all these years. He owed it to Ana to look for her family. He is beginning to think Emiliano is not who he said he was.

He had dug more about Emiliano but nothing out of the ordinary was discovered. He was good in tech so maybe he had wept out everything in his past from the system.

The flight record a year ago shows that he had gone to country B but no more details about him appeared. He used his connection there to search for him in that country but the information he got was that he had left the country. But there was no flight record of him living in country B.

Unknown to Fernando Emiliano, Ana and her family had arrived at country B first. Ana and her family had left for country A the next day after the layover but Emiliano stayed behind.

He left the country with the ship since country B and A are not far from each other.

This was all because they did not want Fernando to find Emiliano because if he finds him he will find the rest of them. Ana wanted him to continue believing she was dead.

She was sure Silvia had done this to her family but since she doesn’t have proof yet or the power to fight her yet she had to stay hidden.

For the past six years Fernando had people monitoring when Emiliano would return back to country S.

Today, his people informed him that a man named Emiliano Rodrigo with flight number was arriving at the airport from country A.

Fernando had gone to the airport with his bodyguards to wait for him.

He wanted to capture Emiliano and force him to tell him what he did to Ana’s family and about what happened to Ana that led to her death. He was not going to stop until he knew what he wanted to know. In the past 6 years he had not been able to live on from Ana’s death. So he wanted the truth and clarity.

Emiliano came out of the airport and looked around. After six years he was back. He was supposed to have been back last year since he promised his grandfather to be back after five years but he had to stay an extra year. Now he is back and it looks like a lot has changed.

He looked around for the car his grandfather sent to pick him up. Two of his grandfather's men walked to him and bowed their heads.

“Welcome back young master”

Emiliano nodded and was about to head to the suv with them when they were surrounded by ten hefty men dressed in black suits.

His grandfather's me blocked them from getting close to him.

“Mr Rodrigo, you have to come with us”

“Who sent you? Emiliano asked them.

“Mr Buenavista is waiting for you” they pointed at the SUV at the front.

Emiliano smiled, he found it amusing that Fernando Buenavista had not given up on his search for him.

More of his grandfather's men came to stop the other men.

“Are they bothering you, young master?” one of his grandfather's men asked.

“No it’s okay, wait here, I will go speak to their boss for a few minutes and then we can leave” Emiliano said.

His men nodded

“Let’s go,” he said to Fernando’s me , who led the way to their boss's SUV.

The door was opened for him and he looked at Fernando who looked at him.

“So you finally decided to return after hiding all these years?” Fernando said.

“I wasn’t hiding, I was just busy building an empire and did not have the time to return to my country until now”

“I see, get in” Fernando said like it was an order.

Emiliano frowned “Take a look behind you, you will see about 15 men waiting for me. They will not allow me to leave here without a bloodbath” Emiliano said.

Fernando found what he said to be funny “And who do you think will win?”

Emiliano sighed “You can say whatever it is you want to say, I have somewhere I need to be right now”

Fernando frowned  “I will ask you just one question. Where is Ana’s mother and sister?”

Emiliano sighed again “They are fine, if that is what you want to know. What I do not understand though is why you have been hellbent on looking for them. They are in safe hands and happy”

Fernando looked at him to see if he was telling the truth and he could not see any trace that he was lying or maybe he was just a good liar. “I’m hellbent on looking for them because I owe it to Ana that they are alive and well. That is the least I can do after her tragic death” mentioning her death still hurt him so bad.

Emiliano was sure he had seen a deep sadness in his eyes “Do not worry, cause 6 years ago I took them out of the country and they are doing well. If there is nothing else I will leave but let this be the last time you will have your men double cross me” Emiliano warned.

“One more thing. Why was I not able to see their travel record if you say you left the country with them?”

“Because I made sure you will not be able to find us,” Emiliano said before walking away.

Fernando clenched his fist tight. Now that he knows that they are doing well he should move on from all this but he could not understand why he still felt uneasy. Maybe because he could not completely trust Emiliano.

He will have his people find out where in country A that he arrived from. Now that Emiliano is back, looking for them won't be difficult.

Emiliano arrived at the Blanco family estate.  His grandfather called for a family meeting a few times a year and this was one of those meetings. This is the first time.

He stared at the mansion that brought bad memories. Emiliano clenched his fist as he tried to fight back those memories he had struggled to forget.
