Chapter 56 Fake Death
“Who sent you, Ana wanted to hit them again when they did not answer but Emiliano held her back”
“Let's go Emiliano!!” She screamed.
“We already told you we do not know who it is. Some clients are anonymous; we do not know who they are. The person who asked us to kill you, we do not know who it is. And the person had sent us the payment through a digital wallet which can’t be traced. Instead of asking us something we don’t know, why not check yourself to see who it is that would want you and your family dead” one of the kidnappers said and smirked after.
Ana clenched her fist tight “Yes, the other one had said it. But she was just trying to see if they knew something.
“Do you want them to be tortured?” One of Emiliano’s grandfather's men said.
“Do you want that Ana, maybe they will end up saying something”
Ana nodded “Torture then and even if they do not say anything. They deserve to be tortured for what they have done” Ana’s tears fell.
Emiliano signals for the men to proceed.
Ana stood and watched them being tortured. This was for her dad and her mother and sister.
Later that day, the kidnappers were sent to the police station after they were brutally tortured close to death.
And that same day reports of a body that looks like Ana’s was reported on the tv.
The reporter confirmed the body to be Ana’s.
Emiliano asked his grandfather to help fabricate Ana’s death and in a few hours he was able to do it.
Ana watched the news about her death being aired on tv.
“I’m sure you will be happy now Silvia when you see this. But do not worry I will have the last laugh. I might not be able to find evidence that you did it, but I promise that one day I will get evidence you did it.
Silvia will think she is dead and Fernando will stop searching for her.
Fernando was devastated when he heard the news. He could not sleep and spent his time drinking.
“I can’t believe the report of her death is making you be like this” Luis said and Fernando just kept on drinking.
“I need to see it myself, that she is the one” he stood up and took the car keys.
Luis collected it from him “I will drive you”
Fernando let him take the key and they drove to the hospital where her body was kept.
Fernando went inside the mortuary and her body was brought out from the freezer.
He looked at the body and could see that it was indeed her “What happened to you Ana, who did this to you!!?” He was in distress.
After staying there for a while he left.
He informed them that he was the guardian since her family was yet to come claim her body.
Fernando buried her the next day and engraved her name on the grave.
Silvia was angry when she heard what he had done. One minute she was happy when she saw the news that Ana's body was found which confirms she is dead and next minutes she is hearing that Fernando had taken it upon himself to bury her and engraved her name on her grave.
Silvia scattered everything in her room and even broke her gigantic mirror. “How could you, Fernando!!" She shouted in anger.
Outside the room was the maid knocking to know what was going on and if she was okay.
Him doing that just shows how much he cares about her. Silvia hated it so much, now Ana will always be in his memory after he buried her himself.
On the other hand, Ana has returned to the town and the hospital where her mother and sister are.
She heard news of what Fernando did, how he had buried her and engraved her name and she found it to be funny.
She went to the doctors office to find out about the condition of her mother and little sister.
“From the look of things, they would need advanced treatment. The smoke had got into the lungs of your mother and they are both suffering from trauma, they would need therapy”
“Ana sighed sadly “So what do you suggest I do”
“Maybe you should take them to a bigger hospital in the city and take them to therapy after, we have tried our best here”
Ana nodded “Okay doctor I will transfer them but not to the city. I will transfer them out of the country”
“It's okay if you want to do that”
Emiliano was already assisting with their legal papers.
She had immediately gone ahead to change their surname legally since the law allows it. They changed all their documents to a new name and Emiliano helps to keep every trace of it hidden.
In a week's time they will leave the country.
Emiliano left for the city and to a private room in one of his family's hotels to see his grandfather.
He walked in and bowed his head to his grandfather “Grandfather”
The whole place was heavily guided, there were men everywhere.
The old man looked at him "You are here, seat”
“I will rather stand”
Mr Seun Blanco sneered “As stubborn as ever, suit yourself” the old man said arrogantly.
“You had called for me”
"Of course I had called for you, I have fulfilled my part, now it’s your turn”
“Grandfather you did not do everything I asked. I had asked you to help us find the killer which you did not do”
His grandfather picked his walking stick and pointed it at him in anger “How dare you try to go back on your words!! I helped you fake that woman's death!!! I wonder what she is to you to make you care so much!!!”
Emiliano was silent
“No going back on your words, you have to do your part”
Emiliano nodded “Fine, but please I beg you to give me five years and then I will return back to do anything you ask of me”
Seun gritted his teeth, this grandson of his wants to trick him “No!! You have to return now!! I can’t believe you want to leave the country with that woman that is pregnant for another man!!”.
“It’s obvious you love her, but does she love you?” His grandfather asked him.
Emiliano was silent
“You are so stupid!! Loving someone that doesn’t love you and going the extra mile because of her!!” Seun just hit his walking stick on the ground.
