Chapter 23 I Have Missed You So Much
Ana thought of a perfect lie “I don’t know too, I will ask him”
Mrs Buenavista felt there was something else but did not argue further “Okay then, I will let you rest”
Ana nodded and returned to the room “That was close”
“Yes it was, but you handled it well even if I felt she still doubted” Paula said
Ana thanked Paula for spending time with her in the hospital. She realized that if Paula was there that day, Paula would have got her out of the situation and none of this would have happened.
She unboxed the rest of the gift Mrs Buenavista had given her and was shocked to see what it was. The first box was a beautiful jewelry set. The necklace, earrings and bracelet were so beautiful. She remembers seeing this on the neck of a model during a fashion run way for the jewelry brand. She only admired it but who would have thought that she would be receiving it as a gift for just being a fake daughter in-law. It was a dream come true.
Ana gasped in disbelief when she saw the next gift, it was a limited edition Chanel bag in gold.
During dinner she had thanked Mrs Buenavista for the gift.
The next day when she woke up she saw Fernando seating down in the couch in the room staring at her
She could not understand why he sat there and was staring at her. Ana sat up and greeted him but he did not respond.
“Your punishment starts today”
Ana nodded “Fine but please let me go for my exam”
“No and for your information, you are bound from even stepping outside this building. You are not allowed to step outside to take fresh air.
“What!! I can’t even go outside!” Ana could not believe her ears. Is he being for real? She doubts.
“Yes”
“And how are you going to explain that to your mother? Is she not going to find it suspicious that I am inside all day. Ana smiled thinking she could use this to make him rethink his decision.
“That won’t make me change my mind and you will do as I say or else” Fernando commanded.
Ana face changed
Fernando stood up “Disobey me and I will deduct from your remaining 2.5 million”
Ana eyes widened “You have no right to do that”
“I do, the contract gave me that right”
“No you don’t, that money is the exchange for me being your fake wife. And stop treating me like a child and your slave. We are in a business deal, I have a say in this too”
“Yes but I have the highest say in all this”
Fernando turned to leave
“Do not worry, I’m sure an opportunity will come for me to have the last laugh” Ana said smiling
Fernando walked out without saying another word.
Ana felt like smashing her phone but rethink her decision immediately. She just got this for yesterday since the other one spoiled the day she had the allergy.
For the first time she had her allergy reaction without her parents being there for her cause she could not tell them.
Ana thought of what to do about her law school. And she came up with a plan with Paula.
Days later it was finally the day for the law school entrance exam. Paula was going to help her leave the estate without Fernando or anyone else noticing.
She will leave her phone behind and Paula will ask one of the CCTV personnel she knows in the building to turn off the camera in the hours she will leave and when she comes back so Fernando won’t know.
She asked Paula to let Mrs Buenavista think she is sleeping in case she asks her.
Ana wore a hoodie and left the estate successfully through the vehicle that came to supply foodstuffs in the mansion.
When Ana got to the law school, she was relieved. Since Fernando still thinks she is still in the house, there will be no one watching her in secret.
She walked into the law school premises and smiled at the refreshing atmosphere. She loves this profession and she will make sure to achieve this dream of being a lawyer.
The exam will start in an hour so she used the free time to round the place a bit. And when the time of the exam came she went to the hall and was in awe of the number of law students here. But then only 500 are accepted every year, with the number of students here she has to put in more effort so as to be part of the 500.
The exam started and ended and Ana was so happy she had prepared well. She spent the last few days preparing overnight. She was glad Fernando was not around to see her studying. If not, he would have had an idea that she wanted to go for the law exam.
Since they moved into his parents house, he has not slept in the room. But according to his assistant he was really busy traveling for business.
More than ever she wanted the reminder of 2 months to come to an end because she was tired of him controlling her life. Everyday he calls Paula and gives her instructions regarding her like she was a child.
He calls Paula to ask about her mate instead of calling her directly.
Ana successfully returned back home, she took her bath and had an early dinner.
Paula sighed in relief when she came back safely without anyone noticing.
“Mrs Buenavista came to look for you but I told her you were asleep”
Ana nodded
“How was the exam?”
“Great, but I’m scared since we were so much and they will take just 500”
“Wow,” Paula said.
She spoke a bit more with Paula before she left and it was just her alone in the room. After speaking to her parents and sister on the phone. She slept off but woke up when she heard a sound.
Ana turned on the side lamp
“Who is there? Paula?” She called.
“It’s not Paula, it's me,” Fernando said in a low tone.
Ana watched him walk into the room and staggered towards her. He was drunk.
Fernando looked at her and smiled “Silvia it’s you, I have missed you so much”
Did he just call her Silvia?” Ana was stunned.
He sat close to her on the bed and Ana pulled the duvet tight to her body.
Fernando smiled “I have missed you so much”
Ana has never seen him in such a state before.
he leaned closer and before she could react he kissed her on the lip.
Ana was shocked, she tried to push him away but she was too weak to push such a strong man.
He kept on kissing her and she tried to push him away but all to no avail.
Ana placed her hand on his shoulders and pushed herself away from him.
“What are you doing? What are you thinking!!” She shouted at him.
Fernando smiled “You are rejecting my kisses. Did I not kiss you well? Let me try again.
