“It has been more than a year yet Father still believed that we helped Rhiannon escape and that she is not dead,” Yadira said as she looked out of the window and stood there.
“There is nothing else we can do, I know you are worried that they will find her but don’t forget that mom has her own people, and am sure that they will protect her with their life,” Gustavo said as he looked at his sister who had not been eating well because of stress.
“Also, you should eat. You have been going on a hunger strike which makes your father think that you are doing this and all the stress is because we helped Rhiannon and you are afraid that he will find her. He thinks that your hunger move is to force him to send back the troops he had sent,” he added stunning the lady so that she turned around and looked at her brother who had always been there for her even when he was still arrested and living in prison.
“You think so” she asked as she hoped that he would say no.
“Mmmh,” Gustavo replied as he closed his eyes and leaned on the chair as he knew that she was going to listen to him.
For years, the two have been depending on each other. Although they knew that they had another brother out there, he never mattered as he even didn’t know of their existence/ Also, the leader didn’t use him to threaten them as he was a royal. To them, the guy could protect himself but their little sister couldn’t.
And the fact that Rhiannon had lived on the run just like her mother made their blood boil. To them, Rhiannon was their baby sister whom they should take care of throughout.
“By the way, how did you manage to hack even into the government computers and add Octavius and Rhiannon’s details when applying for the tickets? After all, that time I never understood anything you were doing and also you were in a hurry to save them.,” Yadira asked in curiosity as she went back to her seat and started disturbing the rest of Gustavo forcing him to look at her.
“There is nothing much. Didn’t your father want me to be perfect? I started running with Mom’s technology book guidance. However, you should know that your father is clever as he believes that I am the one who helped Rhiannon and the second prince. Didn’t you see that he sent people to come and search this little house?” Gustavo said as he chuckled.
“Anyways, there is no need to talk about the past. We should be thinking of what will happen in the future. Will we be able to escape this place and go live outside just like the others? Even though he claims that he trusts us he never sent us for missions outside and every time we go outside, we have a group of bodyguards waiting for us,” Yadira said causing Gustavo to stare at her.
“It has been a year and in that, we also haven’t been resting. Just like Rhiannon. Even though I don’t know where she is there has been a powerful move n both perfumery, cosmetics, and designing clothes. In just a year, she succeeded in taking the position from the Andersons and the Rodrigues,” Gustavo said causing Yadira to chuckle.
“Rhiannon’s husband is another thing. He also hasn’t given up looking for her and has caused a lot of damage to their own company. I am afraid that if his father didn’t step up to go and help him manage the company, the company would have been in ruins right now,” Yadira said with a chuckle making Gustavo nod his head and have a smile on his face.
“Well it seems that mom and sister have a rare beauty that can make men bow down to them,” Gustavo said as his eyes carried a hint of sadness as he missed his mother.
“What are you trying to say? Am I not beautiful?” Yadira asked as she pouted as she tried to make herself presentable to Gustavo, making her clothes neat and portraying her figure.
“What are you doing? You know that you are also not inferior to them if you don’t wear that disguise. Only I know your real face and can tell that you are so beautiful. When we manage to get out of this place, you will abandon the disguise and be yourself. You will see how men will flock in your direction, they will do anything to get you and be loyal to you,” Gustavo said with a smile on his face as he looked at Yadira’s face and nowhere else.
“But I don’t want those men,” Yadira said making Gustavo sigh in desperation.
There was only one mistake in everything. Yadira has witnessed countless women being humiliated and treated worse than animals in the organization thus she didn’t believe that there were good people apart from the brother whom she grew up looking at every day. To her, he was her savior and without him, she would die at any moment.
Sometimes she hated that there were siblings as she understood that one day, he would get married which she didn’t want to see. She felt her brother was hers only and she couldn’t share with anyone else. To her, the only person she could share Gustavo with was their little sister who had suffered out there.
“I am going to my room. We will make a move after a year. If am not wrong, Rhiannon will have already finished dominating the other industries and will be at the top too. That time, I will hack to see where they were and send the information to the royals and everything I know and ask them to save their son,” Gustavo.
“Wait,” Yadira said in panic when she saw Gustavo walking away from him.
Initially, Gustavo didn’t want to stay and continued walking forward but Yadira walked behind him and hugged him from behind.
“Let me go,” he said as he stressed out each word.
“No!” she said.
“I have something to ask as am suspicious,” Yadira said going straight to the point as she knew her brother too well and knew that she shouldn’t push him to a corner so much.
“What is it?” he asked as he held her hands then halted for a while before continuing to get her arms around him.
“Rhiannon has been working so much. A sudden move not like before she was slow but calculative. These days, she is so fast, calculatives. Attacks were necessary and if you look closely, every perfume, cosmetics, and design she makes starts with the letters Y and G. That wasn’t like in her past work.
