“Can’t you sleep for a while?” he asked with a frown as he wanted to sleep while holding her in his arms as it had been a long time since they slept together.
“Naah. I have to make sure that when the others start preparing themselves, I can help them prepare myself. If I sleep then am afraid that when I wake up later, I will be in a hurry and might make mistakes,” Rhiannon said.
“Hope there aren’t a lot of things you are going to do,” he said making Rhiannon chuckle.
“I am just going to check whether all the ingredients are present so that the chefs cannot be running to the market instead of cooking and wasting time. Also, whether all seats are there,” Rhiannon said and Octavius nodded in understanding.
“Because of the people coming, the high-ups, all roads leading this way have been closed down. All the shops and malls around have been ordered to close also because we don’t want anyone to be assassinated by a sniper from the other buildings,” Rhiannon said.
“You talked to the police?” Octavius asked as people can think it was the president’s birthday by how things are being done.
He thought that this would be the fanciest birthday in the capital and would surely be the talk of the town for even years if no one else succeeded.
“Naah. Fred did that. He has connections and he also couldn’t dare risk if any of those people got killed in his hotel. Although I really can’t understand him as the whole building is made of bulletproof wall,” she added shocking Octavius.
He wondered how he had lived in the capital all his life and he didn’t know any of that.
Rhiannon smiled when she saw his face. All the hotels founded by her mother were both bulletproof and soundproof and that’s why most higher-ups and foreign business people opted to do business in them as their security was assured. Although she felt it was really unnecessary for all that as it must have cost a fortune, she knew that after today, she would have people trying to assassinate her.
Her presence will be known to the whole city and all the spies sent by the enemy will send a report which didn’t favor her.
Octavius sighed in relief after thinking about it. He knew that after all these or even when the party was going on, there would be people who wanted to take his wife out.
“Let me go, I only have an hour before the others wake up. It is already late even though you think it's too early,” she said as she checked the time on her phone that was on the nightstand.
Octavius let her go as she understood that she would not sleep but disturb him and he won't be able to get back to sleep.
Rhiannon woke up the rushed to the washroom to clean herself as she couldn’t go out there without having a shower. At the same time, she couldn’t help but blame Octavius for wasting her time.
After she was done, she left the room and went to the kitchen directly.
“Nanny,” she called Mary who looked at her, smiled, and waved at her.
“Good morning,” she greeted the others.
“Good morning young miss,” they replied.
All of them were twenty middle-aged women and men and twenty youngsters. The middle-aged were her mother’s apprentices while the youngsters were the talented chefs in the organization chosen by the elders to come and help. They were also supposed to work as waiters and waitresses for the night as they didn’t want strangers in the kitchen and at the same time afraid that there might be a staff who would let the enemy in.
“Young miss, we have everything and you didn’t have to wake up so early,” one of the youngsters said.
Rhiannon had bonded with them during her stay there and they weren’t afraid of her as she was their leader.
“How can I leave all work to you all? I had to come and see how things are going,” she replied with a smile as she walked past them and went to her nanny.
“Go and sleep. I will take care of things here. Clare is taking care of the preparations in the hall, Fred is with the security teams giving them instructions and Bancy is with the stylists so that when you and your in-laws wake up, they will start helping you with the outfits and ladies with makeup,” Mary said with a smile.
“Guess everything is sorted out and none of you need my help in anything,” Rhiannon said as she pouted making Mary chuckle as she looked at her dotingly.
“Go sleep. It seemed that you guys had fun and went to bed so late. It is already eight in the morning and none of them is awake and you are also waking up right now. Go back to sleep as I know you haven’t slept for weeks,” Mary said making Rhiannon nod as she knew arguing with her was fruitless.
“Hope their breakfast is ready as am sure they are about to wake up. Latest by 9 so that they can take their breakfast at 9 and start preparing themselves, By one, they will have finished as the Rodrigues and Andersons will be arriving at one,” Rhiannon said as she hoped that her nanny would understand the meaning behind her words.
“Fine. Go check whether the breakfast is to your liking then go relax as you wait for them to wake up.”
