Bianca — Sweet on you

Bianca — Sweet on you
My first instinct was still to run. After all, if I managed to make it off the island, no one could tie me to the events that had occurred during my stay on Cupid's Cove. There was only one way off the island though: a yacht that took guests back to the mainland when their stay at Cupid's Cove ended. Unfortunately it was the dead of the night. The ferry only operated during the day. So I did the only thing I could. Macy and I retired back to my suite to discuss next steps.

"I don't know what came over me. Everyone was just so up in my business and then somebody slapped my butt—" I rambled nervously, before Macy cut me off.

"The little shit slapped your ass?" she asked, a hopeful expression on her face. "BB, that could actually help us."

"No, that was someone else," I said, dismissing her idea that I had acted in self defense as I paced up and down the suite. "Come on Bianca, think. Why can't my Harvard law brain come up with anything?"

"Look on the bright side. At least you don't need a lawyer," said Macy, with a grimace. "When Merida finds out about this—"

"When? Come on Mace, you and I both know that she already knows. The viper eats, sleeps and breathes her job. "

Just as I spat the words out, as if on queue, the landline rang. Macy and I both jumped. We traded looks, both waiting on the other to move again as the ringing persisted.

"It's your suite," she pointed out.

Squaring my shoulders, I made my way over to the bedside table and put the phone on speaker.

"I knew I shouldn't have given you time off," Merida's shrill angry voice filled the air.

"Time off? So you don't know—"

Macy ran up to me and tackled me onto the bed, then covered my mouth with her hand. My eyes widened before we started wrestling for control, rolling around on the bed.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I whisper yelled.

"Saving your ass," she whisper yelled back.

Despite the circumstances, I was beginning to grow concerned that no one knew where my sister was. Especially since I stole her credit card along with her plane ticket in a fit of rage. Merida knew how Britney was. She found trouble everywhere she went. Keeping an eye on her was the agency's job.

"Get your skinny butt back here so we can figure this mess out," Merida ordered.

Finally getting the upper hand on Macy, I pinned her down on the bed by her wrists, smiling down in victory. I turned my head over my shoulder to face the phone and give Merida a piece of my mind for losing Britney, but Macy spoke before I could.

"She will," Macy squeaked. "I'm so sorry Merida, you know how Britney is, always doing things without thinking."

I glared at Macy, who glared right back, her nostrils flaring before it hit me. She had shut me up for my own good. I couldn't very well ask about Britney's disappearance if I was supposed to be her. Shit. Fuck. What now?

Releasing my friend while we both caught our breaths, we laid side by side, staring up at the ceiling.

"Macy," Merida fumed. "Wait until I get my hands on you. You're fired! Fired! Fired! Fired! And you'll be lucky if that's all you are. You'll never work in this business again, that's for sure. Get back here Britney, or you'll be out on your ass too."

The line went dead.

"I'm sorry," I said, breaking the silence.

Rolling onto my side to face Macy, I continued, "About your job, accusing you of setting me up, now this mess. I'm really sorry, Mace."

Macy continued to stare at the ceiling with a blank look on her face for some time, before she sat up and crossed her legs.

"Same. This was my idea after all. I just wanted you to feel better, you know? After everything with Jason and Britney and how you lost your job because of it. I had nothing to do with the whole thing with the photos and the press—"

"I know," I said, sitting up too and pulling Macy into a side hug. "Merida's such a—"

"Bitch. Asshole. Truly evil person," said Macy, venting her frustration.

We looked at each other and shared a bittersweet laugh. The circumstances were abysmal, but seeing my friend soothed me.

"Yes, that," I said, jumping off the bed and heading for the landline. "Room service on Britney?" I asked, taking her credit card out of the drawer to show it off.

"Get everything that's bad for you. Plus wine," said Macy, with a small smile.

Thirty minutes later, I heard a knock at the door.

"That was fast," I said on my way to open the door.

To my surprise, Olivia was standing before me. With a huge smile on her face, she walked right past me and entered.

"Told you Billy wasn't above sleeping with you to seal the deal," said Olivia, pulling a folder out of her purse and whacking my ass with it before she handed it to me. "We need these signed ASAP."

"I'm sorry, what are you talking about?" I asked, my cheeks turning pink.

"You fucked the billionaire? Nice," said Macy, joining us at the door.

My mouth went dry. What the actual fuck? I was beginning to think that my Harvard degree really wasn't worth a damn, because no other thoughts formed in my head.

"If he hasn't tapped that, he sure will. Billy doesn't do charity, darling. He's… sweet on you," said Olivia.

"More like sweet on your vagina," Macy muttered teasingly.

"Look, Olivia, I already told you. I'm not making this ad," I said, holding the folder out to return it to her.

Macy took the contract out of my hand instead and began skimming its contents.

"Not even to stay out of jail?" asked Olivia victoriously.

"Bi- I mean Britney, you might want to look at this," said Macy, handing me the contract.

With a sigh, I peered over Macy's shoulder. Nothing could explain the rage that came over me when Macy showed me the new terms of the deal.

Will found a way to get Shane Banner not to sue me for assault. In exchange for services rendered, Will's new contract demanded that I made the ad for Hunter Industries. This was practically blackmail. He implied that I would go to jail if I didn't go along with what he wanted.

Seeing nothing but red, I snatched the contract out of Macy's hands, marched right out the door and stormed my way to the elevator.

"That arrogant, smug, rich son of a bitch."
