Epilogue
Amara’s POV:
Five years later…
I looked through the options of dresses I could wear. It was Zavier’s birthday, and of course, there would be a party. I even had the best surprise for him. I settled for an elegant purple dress. I didn’t have much time to do my makeup, so it was just mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick. I had to be quick because I refused to have a nanny, so of course, I had to get the boys ready as Zavier was still in the shower.
I walked out of the room and saw Sebastian stepping out of his room dressed in a maroon suit, looking just as dashing as his father.
“Wow, you look so handsome, buddy,” I complimented him, running my fingers through his hair and adjusting his tie.
“Thanks, Mom. You look beautiful.” He smiled, looking up at me. It was Mom now…I guess when children turn eight, mommy gets shortened to mom. Good thing the twins still called me Mommy.
Five years ago, we had two boys, Matias Reid Fuentes and Marcos Ivan Fuentes. Sebastian loved his brothers a lot. Even though it was different in the beginning, he got used to it. Sebastian’s last name was now changed to Fuentes too. Having these three boys in the house sure made me go crazy sometimes, but there was no one I loved as much as I loved these boys.
I got the twins ready, and soon enough, the guests started arriving. Around an hour later, I looked through the window. I watched as the twins played with Arlo and Tessa’s twins, Izaan Lucas Fuentes and Farzeen Ximen Fuentes. The boy's middle name was from Tessa’s father, and Farzeen had both her grandmothers' names. Arlo and Tessa sure made cute children. Sadly, after the twins, she was told she couldn’t have kids anymore, but they were happy and lucky as a family of four. I was thankful things worked perfectly for them. They deserved nothing but happiness.
I looked over and saw the twins and Amelia's son, James, running after Izaan. Yup, Amelia and Ivan finally took the big step and adopted a boy. Just as predicted, they are amazing parents, and James was an absolute angel.
Charlotte got married three years ago, and one year after that came her beautiful daughter, Isabella. She was only two and was currently on her grandmother’s lap. I saw Carolyn sitting next to her and playing with Isabella too. Sadly, Carolyn had no children of her own, though she wanted some. Her marriage had come to an end. However, I did hear her ask Ivan and Amelia about the adoption agency they used.
It was safe to say that play dates these days were a lot more hectic than when it was just Sebastian.
I saw Nicole sitting down next to her husband. Her career as an architect had taken off. She always had projects, big ones, and I was happy about it. She deserved this. She was always career-driven, so it was good to see everything pay off in the end.
I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me, and Zavier’s familiar scent filled my nose as he nuzzled himself in my neck. “Whatcha looking at, cariño?” He kissed the side of my neck.
“Just the people. I'm being a total creep.” I chuckled and turned around to face him, caressing his face as I looked up into his green eyes and smiled.
“I love you.” He kissed my forehead then pulled me into a hug.
“I love you tons,” I replied and kissed his jaw. I remained in his embrace a little longer before pulling away. “Come on, let’s go tell the others the good news,” I said, watching as his face twisted into a confused expression. He assumed I was talking about the third restaurant I had been looking into opening. “We have an announcement to make,” I said, waiting till I got everyone’s attention, or at least all the adults' attention. When we did, I turned to Zavier.
“Here you go, babe.” I handed him the envelope. Once again, I could tell he thought it was about the restaurant. He opened it up and saw a sonogram. Yes! I was pregnant again! Hopefully, for the last time.
“Wait…are you really?” he asked, mouth hanging open as he looked at me.
“Yes, Zavier.” I smiled and got pulled into a tight hug.
“What is it?” Tessa asked, wanting to know too.
“We’re having another baby!” Zavier grinned as everyone began telling us sweet and kind words. I had a feeling this one would be a little girl. I always worried Sebastian would have just Amelia, Ivan, Nicole, and me, but now, he had a big family. Neither of us was alone. I couldn’t have asked for a better life than the one I’d been given.
