The other lawyer had claimed that she was not kidnapped, but must have staged it, and that if she was found with drugs, it was probably because she was a drug addict prior to the incident and she must have been high on drug and the claim of the pregnant woman must have angered her and pushed her into shooting the woman.
Alisha's only evidence had been used against her; she was losing hope of getting free.
The jury adjourned the case, as more valid evidence was needed to decide the case. Alisha was lost in thoughts as Leonardo drove her home, "Alisha, don't worry, we will find a way out of this mess."
"Can we spend some time with Ina?
I need some sort of distraction." Alisha said. He had the driver bring Ina to the mansion and while she and Alisha spent the day in the mansion, he was out looking for some means to get Alisha free.
He decided he was going to pay a visit to Chloe in prison. He put his phone on flight mode and put on the sound recorder.
"What do you want from me?" she fired at him, she had refused seeing him, he had insist it was important before she showed up.
"I got you flowers and chocolates, and I wanted to tell you that I have been thinking about you, you were right, Alisha has a lover, and she deserves to rot in jail."
"What made you realize that?" she asked uninterested
"I have missed you Chloe, and it had to take Alisha to move on with another man for me to realize that, but I do love you and I want to be with you, I want to drop the case against you."
"In exchange for what?"
"Well if I will be with you, I would not want Ina, Alisha and I's daughter to come in the way of our love, so I want Alisha to be out of jail so she can be with Ina and I can be sure that I will not have full responsibility and we can both have our children together."
"It's not my call to get Alisha out of prison."
"I am not saying you did what was wrong, I know you did that for me, for us, I know you really know how she got in the crime scene,"
"Don't act smart, drop the charges against me, then get married to me, only then will I maybe then testify and tell the court that I only just found out that Alisha was framed by an enemy, and the man who claims to be a friend of the dead pregnant woman, was not her friend but was just trying to make money."
Leonardo had gotten the hint to what he wanted to know, "I'll arrange to have the case dropped so you will believe that I want to be with you"
Leonardo said and got up to leave, but not before planting a kiss on her checks, he needed to be on her good side so he could get information that could help Alisha.
After he left the prison, he located the man who was testifying against Alisha. "I would like us to strike a deal." Leonardo said to him as he stood by his front door.
"Even if you decide to bribe me to drop the charges, I am afraid I can't do that because the case is no longer about me but the court."
"Listen to this" Leonardo said and played an audio from his phone "the man who claims to be a friend of the dead pregnant woman, was not her friend but was just trying to make money."
"Tell me all you know and I will find a way to give you what she must have promised you without having you persecuted for giving false testimony in court." Leonardo tried to negotiate.
"I do not know what you are talking about." The man denied.
"Just so you'll know, Chloe is planning to transfer all the blame on you, and implicate you and if you don't outplay her now, she will get away with it and you will rot in jail." Leonardo frightened
"What do you want to know?" the man asked, opening the door a little wide so Leonardo can come in.
Two weeks later, Alisha walked out of the court room a free woman. The man had admitted that Chloe had paid him to bring a woman to act, he had gotten Monica the late pregnant woman, he had promised her that she would be paid, he never knew what Chloe had in mind.
When he got there with the woman, he had met Chloe injecting Alisha. Chloe had told him to leave the pregnant woman behind and go get money from her car which she had packed at a distance.
Before he got back, he had met her coming to him, she was wearing hand gloves and had told him they needed to leave immediately. He had asked about Monica and she had told him she had dismissed her and called a cab and that he could ride with her to a distance and get he and Monica's money.
He said he was not suspicious, Chloe had paid him and also given him Monica's money, but when he got to Monica's house and didn't see her, he had gone back to the scene and had found the cops there.
Chloe had been questioned, and had been found guilty, she was so obsessed about Leonardo that she was willing to do anything to get him, she had killed Monica so the murder would be placed on Alisha, she wore a hand glove shot Monica and placed the gun in Alisha's hand while she was still unconscious.
Chloe was not repentant, instead she was mad at herself for not shooting Alisha dead instead. She was given life imprisonment, and Alisha was declared a free woman.
"Please take me home" Alisha had told Leonardo at the parking lot of the court.
"No my dear, you and Ina will stay with me." He had insisted.
"Just for a week or two so you can spend some time with her, but after that I am going to my own house, I need to start life afresh."
Alisha had just made dinner and she, Leonardo and Ina were at the table to eat. "Ina I have something to tell you, you are still small and might not get the whole details so I'll just say one thing instead."
"This is your daddy." She said pointing to Leonardo
"Dada?" Ina asked with poppy eyes
"Yes baby, he is your dada" Alisha laughed
"Yeeee dada" Ina clapped
"Yes Ina, and you are my little cute princess" Leonardo said carrying her in his arms
"Princess" Ina repeated after him and he laughed
"And I love you" he said giving her a big kiss
"I love you too dada, and you mama" she said with her cheeks in bright pink natural blush
"Awwwn, I love you too baby." Alisha said and joined the hug.
Later that night, Leonardo had been the one to put Ina to sleep, and now they both spread out on the bed with a comfortable silence.
"I love you Alisha" Leonardo said into the dim room and the silence of the night.
Alisha was not sure if she should respond to his declaration. Of course she loved him too, but she was not sure she was ready to tell him that yet, she had been through so much, but she was not sure she was ready to go beyond the occasional sex and jokes and good times, she didn't know what he meant by loving her.
Was it just the sex or it was the offspring they bought have, or it was something more? She didn't know if she was comfortable with the way they both were or she wanted something more.
Leonardo moved on the bed, and came over her, he kissed her and she kissed him too, she was ready to opt for this option tonight if it was going to help her escape from telling him that she loved him too.

With an urgency, he peeled off her clothes and she did the same. He then parted her legs with his hand and eased himself into her with a gentle thrust.

Ina jumped on the bed happily as Leonardo dropped the puppy, "thank you dada" she smiled and turned her attention to the puppy.
"I have never thought of getting her a puppy, how didi you know she would love one?" Alisha asked.
"Good morning baby" he planted a kiss on her lips. "Well went I put her to sleep yesterday, I had this kids picture book, I was showing her pictures, I showed her a fish in a water gar but she was not excited as she was when she saw the picture of a brown puppy, so when she went to sleep I placed a order for one and it arrived this morning.
"Thank you, so sweet of you, what do we name her?"
"It's a male puppy, I was thinking "honey" what do you think?" Leonardo suggested
"Let's ask Ina" Alisha said and they turned to Ina.
"Ina, what should we call him, honey?" Alisha asked and Ina shook her head
"Hmm, white?" Leonardo suggested and Ina shook her head again
"Raja" Alisha said remembering a carton Ina loved to watch
"Yess, hello Raja" Ina danced excitedly and the puppy wagged its tail giving a tiny bark.
Alisha left Ina and Leonardo on the bed and went to use the bathroom. She was urinating when she remembered what date it was, "Oh noooooo" she cried out and Leonardo jumped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom to see what was wrong.
