Alisha was pushed into a room and the door was shut to her face. She was scared but not for herself, but from not knowing where Ina was.
"Mama" a little voice called out behind her and she turned to see Ina sitting on the bed and holding unto her pony teddy.
Alisha rushed to her and held her close, giving her a tight hug, "Oh my baby, I'm so sorry, how are you baby?"
"Fine mama" Ina said not looking scared. Alisha played with Ina's hair, as an excuse to calm Ina down, but in reality she was calming her own self down.
"Mama crying"
"No baby, I'm not crying, I'm just happy to see you."
"Let's go home mama" Ina said as she moved closer to Alisha and inched her face sleepily
"We will baby, soon we will" she said she was tempted to say and we can be with daddy, she knew it would excite Ina, but she would rather not raise her hopes up.
"I love you baby." Alisha kissed her forehead as she watched Ina drift to sleep.
Alisha also dozed off, and was awaken when someone came into the room with food for her and cereal for Ina, the man's was covered in a mask.
"Please let us go, I'll give you anything you want, name any amount, just let me and my child go." Alisha pleaded.
He did not respond to her, he only dropped the food on the table, with a gun in his hand; he used his free hand and shut the door as he left.
Alisha got up from the bed to examine the room, she needed to find some sort of escape, after a while of looking and not seeing anyway she could possibly escape, she gave up and went back to bed.
When she got back in bed, she realized Ina was burning up. Scared to death, she took off Ina's dress and then she took off the pillow case and damped it, then she placed it on Ina's temple.
"Open this door" Alisha banged on the door hard
"Open the door, my baby is sick" she screamed on the top of her voice, still banging the door.
A while later, the door came open, two men came in, one held Alisha so she would not run out, while the other man picked Ina up from the bed and left the room.
"Where are you taking her to?" Alisha asked as she was pushed on the bed by the other man, and the the door was locked again.
She was alone in the room, the door was locked, no one said anything about Ina. Alisha banged the door. "Where are you talking my daughter to? Let me come along, open the door, if anything happens to her I will kill you."
No one said anything to her, and when she got tired of screaming, she sat on the bed and cried, her hands hurt from the banging of the door, but her heart hurted much more from the absence of her daughter.
Her daughter was sick and in the hands of two strange men, and she was hereand helpless about it.
Leonardo had just gotten in from his search for the day, he threw himself on the couch, he was exhausted, hungry and worried.
His phone rang, and as much as he wanted to ignore it, he pulled it out from his pocket. Skeptical about taking the call from the unknown ID, he picked it however.
"Your daughter is at the state hospital" was all the caller said and the call ended. He jumped up from his couch and raced to his car, as he drove to the hospital like a man who had lost road safety knowledge, he called the detective incharge of the case.
"Did you see a little girl of about 2 year old here? I don't have her picture but she has hair like mine and..." he was saying all in one breath as he got to the reception.
"We found an infant just by the entrance, two men arrived in a car, dropped her off and zoomed off, we've called the police while the child is in the children's ward." the receptionist responded
"I need to see her, need to be sure it's my Ina" Leonardo said to her uneasily, the thought of how Ina had been handled angered him
"I have strict instructions to not disclose what ward she is on, until the police arrives." the receptionist said, Leonardo understood she was following instructions but he was being impatient.
However he waited and just at the same time, the police he had called and the one the hospital had called arrived together. While the receptionist explained to the other police man, Leonardo explained to the one he had called, explaining the call he had received and how he was yet to be sure if it was really Ina.
A while later, Leonardo was led to the room where Ina was receiving treatment, she was on drip and was awake.
"Ina" Leonardo called out happily and rushed to her side, she looked at him confusedly.
"I'm your mom's friend, I was at your house the other day." Leonardo explained, it was better Alisha was the one to tell her that he was her dad and not him, especially not when Alisha was not there.
"Where is Mama?" Ina asked, it was obvious she was close to tears.
"She will be here soon" Leonardo patted her on her head.
"Are you hungry?" he asked and she nodded, after asking her what she wanted stop eat, he got it for her, and as he fed her, he finished up with the police man, giving him the number that had called him.
After the police man left, Leonardo remembered he needed to inform Alisha's father, so he called Me. Adams and a while later, he arrived at the hospital with Mary.
Two days later, Ina had been discharged and was staying with her Grandpa and Mary, Leonardo had hired a whole bunch of bodyguard just to ensure Ina was safe. He still had his suspicions regarding the initial bodyguard so he kept him on close watch.
He was still not able to find the key owner and he hadhanded the key over to the police.
"Don't take her to the hospital, keep her there, give her aspirin or something, I don't care if she is not eating, don't be stupid enough to let her go, the way you let the little girl off without my instructions... What do you mean you didn't want the innocent child to die because of you, keep her there, for all I know she might be faking being sick. Fine I'll come see what's going on tonight, I'll be off guard in a few hours."
Leonardo was in the bathroom when he heard the conversation by the window. He was unable to see who was making the call, but he was sure it was one of the bodyguards and that it had to do with Alisha.
When he rushed out to see who was making the call, he did not find anyone by the window. To avoid raising suspicion, he did not ask who was going to be off guard that night.
Instead, he said good night to Adams, Mary, and Ina and went home to change; he put on a black tee shirt, black pants, and a face cap.
He took a cab back to Adams house, but stopped at a distance until it was time for the bodyguards to swap guard.
Unsure of whom to follow, he decided to follow the chief guard, the one that was attacked when Alisha was kidnapped. It was a long walk as he went to his house. Leonardo stood at a corner hoping he would step out again, but he did not.
Regretting that he had missed the initial target, he hailed down a cab, the cab was about to move when the bodyguard came out of his house. "Wait" Leonardo told the cab driver.
The bodyguard got into his car and Leonardo asked the driver to follow him at a close distance. After almost twenty minutes ride, the bodyguard stopped at a house off the road.
Leonardo got out from the cab, gave the driver some money, and promised to pay him much more if he waited for him, no matter how long he would spend.
The bodyguard didn't enter the building he had packed by, instead he walked down until he got to a little apartment that sat in a lonely area. Leonardo was being very careful so he would not be found out.
After walking a mile I to the dark area, the bodyguard stopped at a house, knocked and someone opened for him. He liked behind him then entered and shut the door.
Leonardo went to the window, the window blinds didn't allow him see what was inside, but he paid close attention to what they were saying.
"We should take her to the hospital" he heard a masculine voice say
"No way, I must get my revenge on that man through her." another voice said
"What revenge do you keep talking about?" the first voice asked
"None of your business, just do what you are paid for."
After a period of silence, Leonardo heard another door open, then close.
"She's asleep, I'm sure she will feel better when she wakes up."
"I don't think so, it's been four days and she has had nothing to eat, I'll go check her."
After another episode of silence, Leonardo heard a fierce sound.
"She's not asleep, she is unconscious"
"Pour some water on here."
"We should call a doctor,"
"Fine, but as soon as the doctor is gone, we change location, I don't want any problem."
Leonardo moved back to the cab to call the cops, twenty minutes later, they arrived without blasting the siren, they surrounded the house, one one knocked on the door, he was not wearing his uniform, he posed as the doctor and was allowed in.
A while later, he opened the door for other police men, turned out there were three men in the room and he had knocked them out, an ambulance was called and Leonardo rushed in to see Alisha.
Leonardo was disappointed when he got into the room, but the lady in hostage was not Alisha.
He punched the wall angrily, he was so sure he had found her. Disappointed and enranged, he had the cab driver take him home and then he paid him handsomely as promised.
Leonardo needed rest, but instead of going to bed, he sat by the wine bar and drank himself to stupor.
He could not understand how the conversation he had heard from Adam's bathroom window could lead him to a place other than where Alisha was. His heart ached, Alisha was missing, probably scared and maybe starving and sick.
Fear gripped him at the thought that she might be dying. He assumed she was suffering for the offense of someone, the kidnap was probably a revenge, but who would want to revenge, who would want to hurt Alisha?
Leonardo thought about Ema, she was happy with Joe and would not want to hurt Alisha, what about Mr. Castillo? He wanted Ema to marry a man of class, not someone like Joe, what if he had something to do with Alisha's disappearance?
A drunk Leonardo picked up his legal pistol and his car keys, he was going to drive down to Castillo's house and confront him with a gun.
Leonardo knew he shouldn't be driving when drunk, but he didn't care, all he cared about was to see Alisha.
He drove to Castillo's house, trying to keep his eyes on the road, "where is she?" he screamed at Mr. Castillo as he badged into the house.
"Are you insane Leonardo?"
"Where is Alisha?" Leonardo asked again, and just then his phone rang, he got distracted trying to pull the phone out of his pocket when Mr. Castillo knocked the gun out of his hand and pointed the gun at Leonardo.
