Chapter two

Her lips were cool and sweet against mine. It took me a few seconds for the realization to kick in. Then I kissed her back, and my arms went naturally around her neck. Our lips molded together and I felt my cheeks flush at the thought. I was kissing my best friend. Worse, my best friend was a GIRL. She licked my bottom lip, and I felt a rush of adrenaline speed through my blood.

I wrapped my short legs around her waist which brought us tighter against each other. I'd never been attracted to Melissa in any way before this but something in my core exploded and I could only pinpoint it as lust. She broke the kiss and pressed gentle feather kisses against my neck and down my collarbone. I shivered slightly and felt my underwear suddenly become warm.

She lifted my shirt over my head and placed it in my mouth.

"Hold on to counter Tessa. And bite down to the shirt." She said in a rushed whisper. My hands went to the edge of the counter and I watched her, and she kissed her way down the path of my breasts. She then went and nibbled on the one peaking bud flicking her tongue ever so lightly making me arch my back involuntarily, making my breast go inches deeper into her mouth.

She went on to the next one and did exactly the same. By now my underwear was soaked through and the lust in my core grew. I closed my eyes and my head fell back as I invited the pure blissful feeling, riding the waves of pleasure. My breathing was ragged, and I'd moaned a few times, feeling her smirk every time I'd let out the slight noise.

She kissed my abdomen and ripped my underwear off with impatience and I was glad for that because I didn't know how much more I could take. The fabric fell to the floor and she grabbed my thighs, bringing me forward. She then knelt down in front of me and she licked her lips which I'd found oddly sexy and I felt my soft center throbbing with lust.

She spread my legs and brushed her lips over me. I whimpered and she pushed her tongue out and made eights over my clit. I cried out and pushed myself harder against her she then pushed her tongue inside of me and I shivered. I was covered in a sheet of sweat and I felt myself clench around her tongue and it was that tight feeling that pushed me over the edge. My muscles tightened and I quivered as I let myself go. She drank all my juices and came up.

My eyes were wild from my first orgasm and I felt a slender arm round my waist. Melissa brought me tight against her and she kissed me with another wave of lust building inside of me. She moaned against my lips and I could taste myself on her mouth.

"Tessa." She breathed and placed her forehead on mine.

I was speechless and I watched her closed eyes and I suddenly felt sleepy. I put my head in the crook of her neck and my eyes fluttered closed.

"Tessa. Let's go upstairs." Melissa said and helped me up the stairs quietly. She pulled another shirt over my head and cleaned up the dripping mess between my legs before tucking me in. She kissed my forehead slightly and I felt myself drift slowly out of reality.

I woke up in a daze and sat up looking around the room, confused. The events of last night (or earlier this morning) flooded back into my mind, which made my cheeks heat up. Just the thought of Melissa kissing me 'down there' made the heat between my legs return.

I beamed and jumped off the bed, then stopped dead. What's going to happen between us now? Are we still friends? Or are we friends with benefits? I didn't know the first rule about having a friend with benefits. I had a hot shower and threw on a long-sleeved black dress that went mid-thigh. I paired it with lacey stockings and black ankle boots.

I let the brown waves flow freely and checked my watch. I had two hours before me and my father, along with the Alpha and Melissa had to go to a meeting on the other side of the state with the council. I looked in the mirror and thought about the way Melissa's tongue felt on me and I bit my lip. The last thing I needed was to be distracted by her today. My father was counting on me to pay attention and take down notes that he might have missed.

I opened my door and walked down the stairs with confidence everyone was busy, rushing around. The news of the deadly pack made everyone on edge, and it meant double training, double cooperation, double wolf armor, double everything. I went to the kitchen and found the Luna laying out pancakes and fruit salads along with breakfast platters.

I grabbed a raspberry and bit into the juicy fruit before bowing my head to Luna.

"Morning Tessa. Are you well?" She said in a happy voice. I nodded and said my cheers. I walked aimlessly around the pack house, waiting for my father to get back from his pack duties so we could leave for the council meeting.

I wasn't paying attention when I was pulled into the linen closet. I didn't get to say anything before the door was closed and I heard it lock. Before I could mutter anything, a pair of soft lips landed on mine and it didn't take me a second to realize who they belonged to. Melissa hoisted me up to sit on one of the small desks in the closet it was dark and cool. My senses heightened and everything was based on touch and feel.

I wrapped my legs around her and I felt her hands going to my dress. She lifted up the dress and down came the stockings and slim fitted underwear. She came back up to kiss me and her hand went to my knee before trailing up my thighs and in between my legs.

"God Tessa you're so wet." She whispered against my lips as I spread my legs open involuntarily, giving her more access. Her finger slipped between my folds, finding the bundle of lust underneath. She made circle movements with her hand and each circle made me moan. I throbbed against her and she brought her hand out from under the dress. I whimpered at the sudden loss of her hand and she gave me a finger to suck on.

The action made me want more and she quickly went back to complete her task. I tossed my head back as the feeling increased until my feet curled in my boots and I shook from my orgasm. She wiped me up with a facecloth she put in her pocket. I heard the door unlock after she helped me with my clothes.

"Melissa," I said rushed. I felt her pause.

"We need to talk," I said softly.

"I know." She said and left me in the closet. I felt flushed and hot and the closet became stuffy. I quickly opened the door and slipped out.

I sat for the next four hours staring blankly at the wall because I had the capability to stay quiet for hours on end. Many people envied my ability which also made me the best warrior in our pack. My stealth and abilities to be extremely quiet made me one of the top ranks especially since I trained harder than others.

My battle skills were top of the class and the Alpha even offered me a position in the front liners or even by his side to enter battle. My parents were extremely proud of my skills and I was one of the many pack gems that would cost a lot to lose.

My head lifted slightly when I heard the arrival of a car I could make out as the Alpha's Audi. I jumped up and quickly took a look in the mirror before picking up my overnight bag.

I jogged down the stairs and waited with Melissa at the front of the house.

Melissa looked at me and I quickly looked away.

"Boo!" My mother said, her hands tickling at my sides before wrapping me in a tight hug. The Luna came out still with her apron on, drying her hands off with a dish towel, and gave Melissa a kiss on the cheek. The men came up the stairs and gave me and Melissa a look before continuing towards us.

"Hello Tessa," the Alpha said, and I bowed my head. He nodded and I looked back up at him. He gave his wife and daughter a kiss before standing next to my father again.

"So... there’s been a slight change of plan." My father began nervously.

"Unfortunately, we cannot attend the council meeting tonight."

The Luna frowned. "But it's compulsory for all pack leaders to be there." She said in confusion.

"Yes. We are not going. But they are." He said, looking at us. I nearly passed out, but I was glad for my mother's arms around me.

"They can handle it can't you?" he said.

"Yes Alpha," I said, and Melissa nodded.

I didn't know how this would work at all, but my instincts told me that there was a reason why all this was happening.
