Chapter 40 Forty

Chapter 40 Forty

Elara's POV

After I had gotten all the information I needed. I let Aria finish the job. By finishing the job, I meant that she sent the thugs six feet below. I was done being merciful. If I let this thug live, I might face another setback just the same way I had spared the spies.

“I can't believe those spies pulled a fast one on us. You should have killed them just as you had wanted to earlier that day.” Aria uttered as we stepped out of the clinic tent.

"I thought sparing them would make them regret their actions and be loyal to me but they proved otherwise.” I uttered my voice tinged with regret.

Deep down I should have listened to my mind and trusted my instincts.

"But I was wrong. Instead of them being good people, they decided to repay my mercy with betrayal. A knife to the back.” I clenched my fists, my anger simmering beneath the surface.

"I guess we have learnt our lesson. From now on, there will be no mercy for traitors. Anyone who is a traitor would be killed on sight. No matter their plea for mercy.” Aria uttered. I nodded in agreement, my eyes flashing with understanding.

Aria was right. A traitor was a traitor and a traitor deserved to die. And death they shall see.

"Darius and I would help find them, Boss. Well track them. I remember Darius installing a tracker in their belongings. This will lead us to them. To Silvester's pack. And when we do, they'll pay for what they've done, with Silvester being no exception to that.”

" I nodded, determination etched on my face. "We will.m do just that. Darius is a genius fir installing those trackers. He'll monitor them. Their location. Like you said, we will find them, and we'll make them pay.”

We headed back to the strategy room where Darius, Cyric and Throne were waiting for us. Eager to hear the outcome of the interrogation.

As we entered the strategy room, the guys looked up at Aria and I, their eyes questioning.

“I was beginning to think you both weren't coming back.” Cyric uttered, lousy like he didn't give a damn about anything.

"So, what did the thug say?" Darius asked, his voice laced with curiosity.

I took a seat, exhaling sharply in exhaustion and concern that I was failing my family.

“Were you able to gather anything meaningful? What did the bastard spill?”. Throne questioned through gritted teeth.

“I was able to gather a lot from the wounded man.” I began ready to fill them in with the details I gathered, my voice firm.

"Silvester is behind the attack as we all know. He is doing all this because he wants to take over my territory."

Cyric's eyes narrowed.

Throne's jaw clenched.

“Does he for once think that is possible?”. Darius inquired, his voice a mix of confidence and pride.

“The attack happened successfully due to leaked informations from the spy we agreed to free to help us gather information on Silvester. Turns out their loyalty to Silvester is rooted to their core.”

"We'll take care of those spies," Darius assured, a cold smile spreading across his face.

I nodded, determination burning within me. "We'll track down the spies, and Silvester. We'll make them pay for their betrayal."

“I knew it. I knew sparring those spies was a huge mistake.” Cyric uttered , expressing regrets.

“That is a mistake that I can't take back even if I wanted to.” I added, firmly.

"We'll make sure it doesn't happen again," Throne said, his voice firm. “There would be no more mercy for traitors." He continued, his voice resolved.

I and the other’s nodded in agreement. "We'll track them down and when we do, they'll pay dearly for messing with us.."

The room fell silent. Our minds were made up. Out vision clear.

We knew we had to take down Silvester and his spies no matter what it might cost us.

“Can you track the spies for me, Darius?”.

“Yes, Boss.” Darius responded as he began working on tracking the spies' location through his system.

I stood up, determination etched on my face. "Let's get to work. It's time to show Silvester the true meaning of power."

The room erupted into action, everyone doing what the do best.

“I have found their location.” Darius suddenly said after silence erupted the room for three minutes.

I came closer, hovering over Darius and his computer.

“Here is where the tracker keeps pointing at.” Darius pontefyay a blue dot on his screen.

“Dark alley forest. It keeps pointing at the Dark alley forest.”

My eyes locked onto the screen, my mind racing with a thousand possibilities.

"Dark Alley Forest, huh?" I muttered, my voice low as I was lost in thoughts.

"This is where the tracker stopped and if you are saying that the spies are the ones who ratted us out, this only mean that this is where we'll find Silvester and the rest of his men." Darius reasoned.

“It only means that he is hiding so far away while he keeps sending his ken over without having the guts because he is a coward.” Aria spat.

I turned to the others, my eyes burning with intensity. My resolve rekindled.
"It's time to gear up and get ready for battle. We'll have to get our ken ready. I don’t know when we are going to strike but it would be very soon. We'll show Silvester that there no mercy for the cowardly."

Aria nodded, a fierce grin spreading across her face. "Let's do this, Boss.

Cyric stood up, his faces set with determination.
“I can't wait to set my hands of Silvester. I am going to be the one to end his miserable life.” he swore, anger flashing in his eyes.

"We're with you, Boss. No matter the time, day or situation. You will always have us on your side.”Throne said, his voice firm.
