Chapter 33 Trial

“How on earth did she get into this kind of state? What happened and who did this to her?”
I heard a voice standing right in front of me, and I knew that something was about to happen, and for some reason, it felt like I was in the middle of all this talk here.
“I dont know the details of what happened to her, but she was brought in here unconscious, they were not trying to tell me what happened, and the only thing I was told was to make sure that I would heal her.”
“Heal her? So they tortured her and brought her here to be healed?” The voice was getting clearer, but I knew that there was no way for that person to give a damn if anything happened to me, and I was dealing with something heavy.
“So you are telling me that there is a chance that she didnt even commit something that bad for them to do something like this to her?”
“I don't have the details, but there isn't a clear reason why they would hurt her like this, but I would want to believe that it is something that has to do with the fact that they were trying to get something out of her.”
There was silence in the room, and I knew that there was going to be something else that Iwould want to deal with when I opened my eyes.
“I will be back. Make sure that you get her back on her feet.”
The voice left the room. I didnt know what was going on, but I didn't need to keep trying to act like there wasn't going to be something odd happening.
I opened my eyes slightly, trying to see if something was going on, but they were not going to give me the chance to see what was going on.
“Ahh, you're awake. I wonder if it was us that made you wake up or if you were about to get up.” The physician was looking at me, and I knew that the next thing to do was to make sure that there wasnt going to be anything that would hold me down at the slightest.
“What happened? Was someone here? How did I—”
“Whoa, please take it easy on me, I only have one head, and it isn't going to be easy for me to tell you what happened like that, but I would be able to get you an answer for a few of your questions.”
The physician was trying to make sure that there wasn't going to be anything that would keep me on the edge, and I was going to get the answers.
“For one, I can't tell you that I know what made them bring you here or even think of doing that sort of thing with you. I am not sure if you are going to be able to handle what I am about to say, but did you by any chance piss off Seraphina?”
He asked as his eyes were on me. I knew that there was no way I would be able to explain that
“I did nothing to her, I was accused of something I know nothing of, and I am not going to be admitted to it even if she wants to take my life!”
I knew it was bound to be one of them who had made sure that they would come and act all worried.
It was a vile act, and there was no way they would be able to pass it that I was that foolish to fall for their tricks.
“You are saying that you didnt do anything? It was then something else that made them even think of attacking you. I dont know how to put this, but if they can inflict this much harm on anyone, then…”
“She is trying to use me to get to the Alpha’s heart. There isn't anything I did to even get her to think of hurting me like this. And it wasn't her that ordered for me to be hurt this bad, it was the Alpha, and he wanted to make sure that I understood what it meant trying to take something from his beloved.”
I didn't know how I was going to hold in all the hate I had in me for the meantime, if he was that cruel to do something that then it meant that you would be facing something that didn't even look like it was going to be easy for me to hold.
“Who was it that came here? I know I heard someone and the room feels like there was something else happening here before I got the chance to open mu eyes so please tell me who was it was that came here to see me.” staring at the man I knew that there was no way for me to hold anything dwon at the meantime but he was going to try and get things out of the way.
“Please get some rest before you ask of all this. I know you must be in a daze and you would want to know what is going on, and it is a good thing to see that you are awake right now, but it would be best if you dont…”
“I know you dont want anything that would harm my recvovery but it would be better if I knew what it was that the person told you and who that person was. I need to know so my heart would be at peace and that there isn’t going to be a chance for me to—”
The door swung open, and guards walked in with their eyes on me. It was going to be hard for me to even try to fight back now knowing that they had their eyes on me.
“Lyra, you have been summoned to the council. You are going to stand trial in front of the Alpha!”
I was shocked, and my mind was hazy as I tried to get things sorted out in my head.
