Chapter 9: Mamma, no!....
**Nala P.O.V
I felt my head on a large piece of wood. I open my eyes feeling uncomfortable. I made a soft moan remembering the beautiful feeling rushing all over my body last night. It was the most wonderful feeling I had felt. I bit my bottom lip wanting more of it. I wanted to feel it once again. Suddenly I remembered my mamma. Quickly I sat up seeing I was no longer on top of the hill tied down within the center of the cave. I pushed myself up spinning around in circles clueless of where in the forest I was.
"Mamma," I called; seeing she was not here.
I ran my right hand across my face scared and clueless about what to do. My eyes widen suddenly, and my heart started to race within my chest feeling something wet and sticky on my forehead. I slowly moved my hand to my face and there I saw it was blood. I continue to observe my bloody hand as it shivers and there, I saw a white piece of substance beneath my nails that looked like pieces of flesh.
My heart raced even more within my chest. I searched my entire body trying to find where I was badly hurt but I found nothing. I only had bruises around my wrists and ankles from the chains and I was not bleeding too much to lose so much blood. The blood was not mine. My feet started to shiver scared and worried about my mamma. Was she the one hurt and was I the one who hurt her? I kept on thinking; worrying If my uncontrollable wolf last night had killed my mamma.
"Mamma," I called for her. "Mamma," I again called.
I heard no signs of her. I started to cry and ran clueless about where to search for her.
"Mamma!" I shouted.
I stopped and spin around not knowing which direction I should take in searching for her.
"Where are you, mamma?!" I yelled.
I again started to run. Soon I stopped seeing I was near the hill she had brought me.
"Mamma!" I yelled as I quickly tried to climb the hill.
I stopped immediately seeing traces of blood. I slowly followed it away from the hill as I sobbed hoping and praying that my mamma is fine.
"Mamma!" I screamed out.
She was laid between some bushes covered in blood. I covered my mouth and cried out loud, falling onto my knees seeing what I had done. The side of her face was covered in a large deep mark, made by me. I destroyed her face. I took away my mom's beauty.
"Mamma, I'm sorry," I sobbed as I pushed her begging the moon goddess to not take her and to take me instead.
I saw her chest moved. She was not dead, but she was losing a lot of blood. I could lose her any moment. I got up and looked around trying hard to stop her from losing too much blood.
"I don't know what to do," I said as I ran my bloody right hand through my hair.
I could not help her for I knew nothing on what to do and I did not want to lose the only person I had and matters to me.
"Help me, moon goddess, please," I pleaded.
My body jumped as I heard a heavy tree falling not too far away from me. I spin around and there I saw smoke. Remembering there were others out there like me and my mamma. I had no choice but to ran in search of help. Please moon goddess, please let it be someone who can help me to save my mamma I continued to beg the moon goddess. As I got close towards the smoke; hoping it was someone there that could help me not caring that I was naked. My eyes and nose burn from the dark smoke. I stopped immediately I saw a man who seems to be the age as my mamma. He looked strong and had a patch of grey hair at the side of his dark hair. He was so shocked to see me. He stood still with his dark eyes staring at me.
"Help me, help me, my mom is hurt," I begged the stranger while I tried to hide my firm breast and my private part.
"Yess..," he stutters as he answered me quickly.
"I was so happy he agrees and ran off quickly allowing him to follow me. Deep down I was worried. I was not sure he could help me, still, I was eager for him to try.
I glance behind me seeing he was quick and gaining upon me. Within his hand, I saw a small brown bag.
"Mamma!" I called as I returned to her and stoop beside her.
The strange man had reached us.
"Elena," I heard him called my mammas name as he lowers his body onto his knees beside my mamma and touched her bloody body.
I was so surprised that he knew my mom's name.
Who is he? I thought.
"Can you help her sir?" I inquired praying that he could.
"I can stop the heavy bleeding for it can cause her to die," he answered.
My heart pounds within my chest heavily hearing him said that.
"Please don't let me lose my mamma," I begged him. "She is the only person I've got."
"I'm a pack doctor and I will try my best in saving not only your mother but once my best friend," he answered me.
Best friend, I thought as I watched him get up quickly moving away from us.
"This forest has a lot of herbs that can stop bleeding that is why I love coming here," he said.
I watched him quickly reached for a weird tall plant that looked like a weed and pulled it out of the ground.
"This Horsetail plant will stop the bleeding," he told me as he again bends down for a rock. He sat beside my mom and started to pound the Horsetail grounding it into a paste. I watched him as I cried and held one of my mom's arms wanting her to feel I was here with her.
"This will only stop the bleeding," he said as he places the green paste onto the terrible mark my wolf gave my mom.
I nodded as he completed in doing so.
"This won't help her alone I'll have to take her home with me where I can better treat her with my medical tools or you are going to lose her," he said.
I was petrified hearing the bad news. I wanted him to save my mother, but my mom always told me it was safer here within the forest.
"Can't you go for your tools and return to us?" I asked the strange man.
"She might die by that time which is why I need to take her home with me now," he said.
I lower my head as I heard my mom's words kept on ringing within my ears that it was much safer here.
"I won't let anyone know about you, I'll make sure you get in without anyone seeing both of you and leave secretly; I promise," the man assures me as I looked at him.
It was as if he knew my mom's secret as well.
I nodded agreeing. I did not want to lose my mamma.
Suddenly I saw the man started to pull his light brown, white shirt from his black pant.
"Put this on," he hands me his shirt.
I did as I was told, covering my nakedness.
He still was not shirtless; he had on thin see-through clothes. The kind doctor went over to my mamma lying on the ground and took her up within his arms carrying her gently.
"Follow me," he instructed me. I followed him.
My eyes were fixed on my mamma the entire time he carried her, praying she will be fine. The terrible mark I gave her was no longer bleeding, which was good but still, I was worried if she will make it. As I followed the doctor, I could see we were no longer within the forest. We were outside of the forest and walking on a strange hard rough path. I was so nervous leaving the forest. I was now eager for him to save my mamma so we could return to our rightful home.
"Follow me here," the man instructed me as I followed him through a strange section.
"We are almost near my house no one will see us here," he told me.
I swiftly try to gain upon him as he carried my mamma. Soon we were at his home. A large grey and white home. It was beautiful. The entire place was from outside. My eyes widen staring at it.
"Let's hurry inside before one of the alpha men see that I am helping a rogue," he said.
I hurriedly follow him and entered his home clueless of why he called me and my mamma a rogue, nor did I know what it meant.
"Shut the door, he instructed me, as he climbed the stair.
I got a quick glimpse of downstairs seeing it was beautiful as well and ran behind him. He pushed a door allowing it to hit against the wall and entered a room, placing my mom on the bed.
"I won't lose you like I once did," he said as he gently places down my mom.
I entered the room standing beside mamma as he ran downstairs. I touched one of my mom's hands worried as hell and my hand brush against the bed she was lying on. I again touched it and was surprised it was not made of straw. It was soft and felt comfortable.
The strange doctor had returned and started to strip my mamma from her bloody clothes. I touched the doctor's hand hating that he will see my mom's bareness.
"It's okay this is a part of my job of being a doctor," he said.
I slowly moved my hand away from him and allowed him to save my mamma. I saw a chair at the corner of the pretty decorated room and sat watching. After he had completed saving my mother's life. He exits the room and returns with a wet rag and a white long dress that was not made from leaves. He started to cleanse my mamma and attire her. I watched patiently for her to wake up.
"Everything is going to be fine your mother will be okay," the doctor told me.
I nodded as he again exits the room carrying away my mom's bloody clothes and the rag that was now dirty. I got up the minute he left and went towards my mom sitting beside her.
"I'm sorry I hurt your mamma; I didn't mean to, I didn't," I sobbed as I gently rest my head on her belly.
I suddenly felt her hand touched me. I slowly raised my head staring at her sadly, hating what I did to her face.
"It's not your fault Nala," she said softly.
I cried even more hearing her said that.
My mom held my face comforting me even though she was badly hurt. I touched her hand against my face, while tears streak down my cheek.
"Please don't ever blame yourself for these three marks on my face for it will never be painful If I'd lost you instead," she said as she cried as well.
I got closer to her and hugged her trying my best to not hurt her. She hugged me back.
"Everything will be alright now," she told me.
"Let's leave before anyone catches us," my mom told me as she moved her body away from me and slowly came off the bed. I catch her as she was about to fall onto her face, weak.
The bedroom door opens and there I saw the doctor returns. He rushed over to me helping my mom to return to the bed. My mom's eyes widen surprisingly seeing him.
"Charles," my mom called the doctor's name frighteningly.
The man got close to her as she laid on the bed. She slowly sat up and touched the side of his face gently.
"No, no," My mom said as she moved, her hand away from his face quickly.
"We have to leave now," she said as she tried to get up.
"You have to stay here until your deep marks are properly heal," Charles, the doctor tried to stop her.
"We are not safe here," my mom still insisted on us to leave now.
"No one will know you're here; I promise." the doctor told her. "No one," the doctor again said.
"You know what will happen once they find out about her," my mom said as she cried.
"I know," the doctor answers. "As soon as you're fully healed, I'll make sure you both leave here soon."
'Okay," my mom answered sitting on the side of the bed.
She turned to look at me, within her eyes I could see she was terrified of us being here. It was as if we ended up where she had tried to protect me from, for years. In the arms of death.
