Chapter 63 The party

Chapter 63 The party
Elena’s POV

If Sarah hadn’t said something, I wouldn't have known of the party till today.

I got out of bed very early to make sure everything was ready.

I was worried about how many guests were coming and how we would take care of them.

But luckily the pack house was big and Liam had told me that his family had bought a hotel for cases like this.

I got dressed and went out of the room.

Liam had woken up earlier and left to do his things.

“Good morning Luna,” a pack member greeted me.

“Good morning,” I said as I kept walking.

“I don’t think there should be any flowers on the stairs, it would look too much,” I heard Liam’s voice from around the corner.

“It will be nice Alpha,” Clara said.

“What is going on,” I said.

“Oh Elena, thank the goddess you are here. I told the Alpha that flowers would look nice on the stairs and pillars but he thinks it’s too much.

“What kind of flowers do you have in mind?”

“Not sure but maybe lilies?”

I looked at Liam who was already shaking his head.

“Lilies don’t seem right for the party, maybe some roses, it could be red roses, black or blue, I just feel maybe the roses would look regal.”

“Hmm I think that's a good idea, Alpha?” She looked at him and so did I.

“If Elena likes it then we will do it,” he said. I was surprised and blushed.

“Okay then, you there,” she pointed at the girl dressing the chairs. “Please pluck some roses from outside,” she said.

“Yes of course,” the girl said and hurried away.

“Elena, would you like to take over the decorating, you seem really good at it.” She smiled at me.

“It’s your job, Clara, I can’t just take it away from you.”

“You’d actually be doing me a favor, I’m not exactly the best at this. Please elena.” She begged me.

I had always loved decorating stuff, so why not.

“Okay,” I shrugged.

“Yes!” she said.“So where do I start from,” I asked.

“Well we have got the color for the event and it's gold.”

“Okay, then the roses would definitely work for it.”

Clara showed me everything and I changed a few things until it looked good.

We were almost done when Liam’s grandparents walked into the pack house.

“At least, someone still knows how to host a party, the decoration is slightly good,” his grandmother said.

“Yes, not bad at all,” her husband said.

“That’s all thanks to our Luna, she was the one who decorated everything,” one of the pack members said.

Her face changed immediately she heard that and turned to me. I was surprised that she even bothered to look at me.

“Not bad for a wolfless girl,” she said.

I wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or not. Maybe she thought that the word wolfless would get to me.

Most people still didn’t know that I had found my wolf but she was just dormant.

I smiled. “Thank you ma.”

She glared at me and walked away and so did her husband and I took a deep breath.

That could have gone worse. I thought to myself.

We wrapped up the decorations and I wanted to join Liam and welcome the guests who would be staying at the pack house but I knew not everyone was fond of me.

I opened the door to my room and saw a box on my bed.

I moved closer and opened it. It was a pretty black dress. I picked up the card I saw inside.

I hope you like it, black suits you. Liam.

I smiled as I dropped the card and picked up the dress. “I love it,” I whispered to myself.I looked at the clock in my room, it was already 7pm and the party would be starting by 8.

I rushed to the bathroom to freshen up.

I took my time to put some make up on my face.

“That should be okay,” I said as I looked at myself in the mirror.

I was happy that the dress was easy to put on.

I looked at myself in the mirror and fell in love with the dress again. It hugged my body in the right places and since I was skinny anymore, it fitted me perfectly.

I took a deep breath and walked out of my room and into the hall.

Liam had gotten there before so I was the only one walking into the hall now and I was late.

When I stepped into the room. Every step I took, people were staring at me.

But I didn’t stop, I raised my head up and walked with confidence until I saw Liam.

Immediately our eyes locked his expression softened.

“Hello little mate,” he said as I was close enough to him.

I smiled.

“This dress looks good on you, so good that I would do anything just to take it off,” he whispered in my ear.

I looked up at him with wide eyes, heat moving to my core.

I took another deep breath and looked forward at the guests that were approaching. I was expecting them to pretend not to see me but they greeted me also.

“Hello Celine,” I said through gritted teeth as she walked closer to us, a man probably the same age as Liam walked with her.

“Jason, how have you been?” Liam asked with a smile.

“I have been alright, Liam. although I could take a little vacation.” He joked.

He was a handsome man with dark skin and really nice curly hair. His brown eyes turned to me. “You must the famous mate everyone is talking about, my name is Jason,” he shook my hand.

“Pleasure to meet you, I’m Elena,” I said with a smile.

“I believe you have met my beta, Celine,” he moved to show her.

“Yes I have,” I said.

“Good evening Elena, I see you are doing well,” she said with a fake smile.

Liam looked around like something was bothering him. I noticed that when I walked into the hall. Did someone say something to make him mad?

“Please if you would excuse me, I have an announcement to make,” Liam said and held out his hand.

“Would you come with me?” he asked.

I felt nervous now. “To where?”

“On stage,” he said.

I gulped. “Okay.”

Liam and I walked to the center of the hall, people gave way for us to come through.

“Good evening everyone and welcome,” Liam spoke in a clear voice and everyone kept quiet to listen. “I hope you all enjoy yourselves and I would also like you all to meet my mate and bride to be, Elena Stone, Luna of Blood Moon Pack.”

I turned and looked at him with wide eyes.

Bride to be?
