Chapter 26 Luna Elena
Liam’s POV
Josh told me he had found a lead about the man in black.
I pushed the door to my office open. “So what’s the news?”
“Good morning to you, Liam,” Josh muttered.
“Sorry, I just really need answers now,” I said.
“It’s cool, so I was up all night thinking about this man in black, I knew I heard something like that somewhere so I did some digging.” Josh gives me some pics of a man dressed in black with a black hat.
“I talked to some of my friends in the north and they said they have heard about him, that he’s the boss of sex and slave trafficking.”
“Are you sure about this? He is an asshole for sure but how does he connect with what happened here and Elena?”
“I’m not sure, but they said he was a wolf even has beta blood in him, he uses his powers to scare humans into doing his dirty business for him, that's how he became so popular and rich. I also found out that he came here for some kind of business and left a week ago.”
It seems like we have our guy. Connor sneered.
Yes, but it seems too easy, like something is missing.
I agree, we need to be careful.
“Are you sure about this person, your friend?” I look at Josh.
“I trust her, we were friends in college and we hooked up a few times,” he rubbed his head.
“Oh Josh,” I sighed.“Anyways, I trust her and her sources.”
“Okay then, we need to put everything together and make plans to go north and find this man in black.”Josh nodded and bowed as he left my office.
I sat down on my chair, thinking about everything when someone knocked at my door.
“Come in,” I said.
Ella walks in smiling at me. Ella has been a friend since college, I knew she liked me but I never felt the same way about her.
She was beautiful and had a new body but I just didn’t see her that way and I told when she tried to kiss me one time.
But she didn’t get the message and has been trying to get my attention ever since.
“Good morning, Alpha Liam,” she said, playing with her hair.
“What can I help you with Ella?”
“I just came to give the report on the footage and sightings from the past week,” she moved closer.
“And,” I said, trying to look anywhere but her.
“Let me show you,” she walks over to where I’m sitting and leans down, exposing her chest to me.
I knew she wore this dress on purpose.
“I don’t see any issue?” I glared at her.
“There’s nothing wrong, I just wanted you to see it for yourself,” she smiled, putting her hand on my chest.
I caught her hand and pushed her back.
“How many times do I have to tell you that I don’t want you,” I roared.
“But you want her? I heard you told everyone at the council meeting that she was your mate. How can you be so sure, what if she is lying?” she spat.
“I know that she is my mate Ella, no question about that.”
“But I love you Liam, I can give you what she can’t, she has no wolf. How will she give birth to your pups when she’s a weak wolf less girl? I can give you that.”
Before I know it, my hands are around Ella’s neck. “If you ever talk about my mate like that again, I will forget that you aren’t completely useless to me and snap your little neck, do you understand me?”
I squeeze tighter when she doesn’t reply.
“Do you understand?”
She tries to nod. I let go of her neck.
“Now get out before I kill you.”
She gathers her papers and runs out of my office.
I sit back on my chair as I try to calm Connor down.I need to see Elena. I thought.
I left my office and headed to her room.
“I didn’t understand why Alpha Liam was obsessed with that girl.”
I stopped in the corner of the hallway.
I look and see two guards in the hallway.“I don’t know man, but I think it’s kind of cute and maybe she’s his second chance mate.” The other guard shrugs.
“You really believe stuff like that? Why would our strong Alpha be given such a weak mate for a second chance, if I were him I’d reject her,” the guard scoffs.
I growled as I walked up to them, punching the first guard in his face.
“Who do you think you are to talk about my mate like that?” I pushed my Alpha command forward.
They flinched, moving back as they bared their necks to me.“We are sorry Alpha Liam, we didn’t mean to insult her,” the other guard fell to knees, begging.
I looked at the other guard I punched. “It’s just that you are so powerful and strong, I didn’t understand why you liked her,” he moved away from me in fear.
“Why I like her is nobody’s business and especially not yours. Your job is to protect her and the pack members,” I yelled.
I can feel Josh behind me, he must have felt my anger through the Beta and Alpha bond.
“Lock him up,” I said, walking away. It was like everyone was trying to get killed by me today.
“Yes Alpha, and the other one?”
I looked back at the other guard. “I think he has learnt his lesson not to talk out of place.”
“T—Thank you Alpha,” he bowed as he was on the floor.
I think it’s time to finally announce to the pack about Elena. Connor said.
Yes, I agree.
I link the pack.
Everyone gather at the main hall. I have something to say.
When I get to the main hall everyone is already there including Elena, Clara is standing by her side.
“Elena, please come and join me,” I said, reaching for her.
She looks nervous but walks forward until she is standing next to me.“I know some of you have heard what happened at the council meeting, but I want to make it clear now,” I look at Elena and smile.
“Elena Stone is my mate and that makes her the Luna of this and with that she will be treated with respect. Anyone who treats her badly will have to answer to me.”
I look around some shocked faces and then back at Elena.“And she is also an official member of Blood Moon Pack as of today,” I said as I felt another bond forming in the pack bond.
It's quiet for some time and then everyone starts clapping and cheering for Elena.
