Chapter 41: Destroyed
Hazel's POV
There was a sudden loud bang that made my body jerk and I tried to look in the direction where it came from.
Only for me to realize that it came from behind me.
Before I could look up, I felt a gust of wind blow in my face, making me squint my eyes.
And then, something whooshed past me at lightening speed.
This was followed by screams from the customers that were in the diner.
As I turned to look back into the diner, one of the customers who was a lady with a child rushed to me and said,
"Get up before they trample you to death."
She then proceeded to help me move away from what was the door as it had been completely destroyed and I didn't know why just yet.
Once I was out of the way, the other customers rushed out of the diner like they were being chased by animals.
Even the lady immediately grabbed her child's hand and rushed out the door.
As this was happening, I was hearing something crashing at the back of the diner. Just about where I had been sitting with the rogue.
This was also around the same time that I was starting to question the things that I should be questioning.
'Where is the rogue?'
He wasn't on me and I couldn't see the rest of the diner from where I was on the ground.
In fact, I could see behind the counter and realized that the owner of the place was hiding behind the counter, and had a shotgun in his lap.
As he turned to look at me, I noticed that he was trembling in fear that he couldn't even hold the gun steady.
My blood froze and things started to move in slow motion.
The first thought that I had was that he was about to turn that gun on me since I was the one that brought chaos into his diner.
However, he didn't.
This made me wonder why the rogue wasn't attacking me, and where there was so much noise you'd think two titans were fighting.
I didn't even get to process what could have been happening when I heard someone screaming.
What was worse is, the scream was coming towards my direction and fast.
And then, something huge hit the doorframe and dropped on the ground.
I quivered in fear, thinking that the rogue was going on a fit and was throwing the things around.
However, I reconsidered that thought when the thing that was on the floor started moving.
It was a fucking body.
And the person immediately started groaning in pain as he turned and looked at.
When our eyes locked, I immediately recognized him.
It was the rogue that wanted to rape me.
His face was all battered and he was clinging on to dear life.
He had claw marks all over his body and was coughing up blood. For sure he had internal bleeding.
"Who the hell did that?" I asked Venus as I heard footsteps coming from the direction that the rogue was thrown from.
Whoever it was, was getting closer, and I was getting terrified.
Doing a quick glance to my side, I saw that the owner of the diner was getting ready to stand up and shoot whoever it was.
'If whoever is there has done this to a rogue, imagine what he'll do to a human?' I asked myself as I quickly whispered to him and held out my hand.
When I got his attention, I quickly nodded my head begging him not to risk it.
"Stay behind the counter or else I'll slaughter you and your entire family." A commanding voice announced as the person got closer and finally appeared.
Of course, it was none other than Jordan.
But he wasn't the man that I knew.
Standing in front of me, was a monster in a man's body. He had murder on his mind and his eyes were telling me a thousand ways that he could do it.
I prayed that the owner of the diner actually took that threat as serious as it should have been taken.
Jordan looked at me like I disgusted him, and then looked at the rogue.
"You've gone from seeing Alpha Logan to seeing scum like this." He said in anger, stomping at the man's hand, crushing his knuckles right there.
The rogue screamed so loud that it made me think that my eardrums were going to explode.
I wanted to feel sorry for the rogue, but he deserved what he was getting.
Jordan then proceeded to lift his leg and stomp on the rogue's leg, right around the ankle.
His screams seemed to be a symphony for Jordan.
I hadn't even processed that he had actually come to save me, as he was already getting to work with that rogue.
As he pressed his heel on the man's leg, he leaned down and was about to say something to me when he stopped.
He looked like he had see a ghost.
Looking down, I tried to see what he was looking at and that's when I saw it.
He was staring at my hand. I hadn't even noticed, but when the rogue had grabbed me, he left me with a slight bruise.
Jordan's expression disappeared from his face, and that made me scared.
I think I made it worse because as I was looking down at my hand, I also noticed that when I hit the rogue with the glass, I must've accidentally cut myself when it broke.
I had some blood on my clothes and on the palm of my hand.
The atmosphere inside the diner changed, and so did Jordan's demeanor.
He no longer looked like he wanted to bash me for hanging out with a rogue.
He looked like he wanted to bash the rogue's head into the floor for laying his fingers on me.
Jordan simply turned around and walked to the injured man, rolling him over so that he looked up.
"This is the hand that was on my woman?" Jordan asked as he grabbed the man's right hand.
But before he could even respond, he twisted and snapped it at the elbow like a twig.
The rogue screamed once again, this time, even louder.
His screams were filled with cries for mercy, all of which were falling on deaf ears.
"You wanted to press this filthy body on my woman? Just so that you could nut and feel good. I have a solution for you." Jordan roared at the rogue.
Before he could say anything else, I saw Jordan raise his leg and bring it down, slamming it down in the rogue's balls.
Without a doubt, he crushed them with that hit alone.
However, this time when the rogue screamed, it seemed to irate Jordan even more.
So, he immediately grabbed the man by the neck and wrapped his fingers around it.
It was so sududen and he put so much pressure the screams were immediately muffled.
The rogue was trying to use his other hand to pry Logan's hand from his neck, but from the way it was stomped on, he could barely get anything done.
He had crushed knuckles, a broken hand, decimated balls and probably internal injuries.
His survival was questionable.
However, Jordan wasn't done with him.
And when I heard him say, "Scum like you shouldn't walk this earth," I knew he was going to snap his neck and kill him.
"Don't do it!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, making Jordan turn to look at me
He didn't say anything, but I could already tell he wanted to ask me my reason for not wanting him dead.
As I tried reading his face, I assumed he wanted to ask something like, "Do you have feelings for this piece of shit?"
But I had to give him a good reason not to kill him, because he was about to do it. And it wouldn't bother him.
"You have done enough damage to have him wishing that he would have never looked at my direction until the day he does.
A quick death is an escape to him. Let him live out his life in pain and remembrance of who you are.
He'll always remember that he lives out of your mercy, and nothing else." I said to him, wishing that I had sugarcoated it just enough to entice Jordan enough to let the man live.
Jordan looked hesitant to do it, and as he was thinking about it, the rogue was going in and out of consciousness from being choked out.
By some miracle, Jordan let him go and the rogue gasped desperately for air.
Jordan didn't hesitate to lean down and whisper next to the rogue, "You're lucky she has a heart. Now you'll live the rest of your days knowing that you lived because of her."
With that, he walked up to me and held out his hand.
I was so engulfed in the moment that it all felt like some sort of fever dream. However, I didn't want to wake up, because that was the best dream and reality that I could have ever asked for.
He walked me outside and I realized that there was a car parked a couple of feet away from me.
Standing next to the car was one of Jordan's soldiers.
But he wasn't just dressed causally. He was dressed in an all black attire and even had a balaclava on his head.
"We need to talk about this." Jordan said as we hoped into the car and started driving back home.
