Chapter 62: Queen Erasma's Decision

The wind was blowing so serenely but the emotion within Queen Erasma is like a wild tornado raging with madness. She cannot accepts that the Alpha King found his mate and is to be married today. Worst, he will be marrying the woman, whom she had all the opportunity to crush in her hands before but she let it fly just like that. The Alpha King fooled her and even physically harmed her just to save that woman, he is going to marry now.
None! No one can treat a Queen like her, the way the Alpha King did to her. She spits with venom, her anger could kill any man without mercy.
Alpha Brendon looks at the raging fury consuming every pore of the Medean Queen. He could not do something about it. It is not his cup to fill rather it is for the Alpha King to empty until the Medean Queen either forgives or is killed. Only then that the tornado inside of Queen Erasma, which will surely bring havoc not only now but in the next coming years to come, will disappear. Her reputation tells it all. She is not a woman to be messed with. She can be merciless and savage to her fullest.
“So, what now, Alpha Branden? Would you be helping me crush that thick skull of the Alpha King?” Queen Erasma, asked him once again, with her eyes fiercely looking at him.
Alpha Branden stiffens for a while as he let his mind find a further and logical reason to decide in favor of Queen Erasma. After a while, he shot her with a confused look and then shrugged his shoulders. “Queen Erasma, if you wanted to attack the Alpha King, I will not stop you. I will respect your decision, however as of the moment, I am not yet decided if I will still join you in your quest of getting the head of the Alpha King,” he then said not looking at the Medean Queen this time.
Queen Erasma squinted her eyes while throwing a deadly stare at him and his men. “If that is the case, then I cannot guarantee that I will not consider your little island and all rogue wolves as enemies!” she retorted with threats against Alpha Branden. But the latter remains unfazed.
Alpha Branden replied Queen Erasma with silence. After a few seconds, he said in a calm voice, “You will just know my decision, once you see me there, either as your ally or as your enemy.”
Queen Erasma held her chin up and went away together with her warriors.
Alpha Branden was not able to control to deeply sigh in confusion. His mind and heart are troubling him as they are having conflicting views on the matter.
He called his Beta and his Gamma to get their own stance on the matter. At first, Beta Lodo agreed that there is no valid reason anymore for them to join the Medean Queen to go against the Alpha King, but later on, he changed his stand when Gamma Rolden spoke and laid down what was inside his mind.
“Alpha Branden, Andreitte is fine. She was not actually killed, rather she is the real mate of the Alpha King and is actually his bride in today’s wedding in the palace. Further, you already found your own real mate too. So, what could be a good reason for us to join the Medean troop to attack the Alpha King?” It was Beta Lodo who spoke first, while Gamma Rolden’s lips seemed to have been sipped and locked for a while.
The Gamma fell into silence while his mind was in serious thought. After a while, he looked at Alpha Branden and Beta Lodo and then said, “Beta Lodo, you forgot the long-time reason of Alpha Branden why he became a rogue wolf, and separated from the authority of the Alpha King and then why he hated the most, the Alpha King. Was it or was it not because Alpha Branden hates the Alpha King’s long-established tradition of choosing an Alpha’s Breeder every five years?”
With the Gamma’s words, something snapped inside the brain of the Rogue Alpha and pain suddenly shot through his heart, while Beta Lodo nodded and tapped the right shoulder of Gamma Rolden, and said, “You are right, Gamma Rolden, we still have that most valid reason, which we have been keeping for a long time, against the Alpha King. The Alpha King should finally pay.”
Alpha Branden’s fists clenched, remembering what happened to her sister.
