Adrian

I was going over some documents when Vanessa Called to tell me, Xavier showed up. I left the company immediately and headed home. I was already in the compound when Rob called. I walked in at the same time he touched her, and I wanted to kill him. The fact that she could handle him herself made me a little less angry. Xavier was known as a man whore within the family. None of the males leave him around their women because he does not understand the meaning of the word No.

“Adrian”.

I walked over to the chair and sat down looking at him. “Grandfather I want that little bitch arrested, she assaulted me”. He said looking at me.

“That will not be happening, Boy. She is A Wolfe, that is Adrian’s wife, and you will not disrespect her or her husband. You will apologize to Her this instant”, the old man said looking at him. He began laughing.

“Me, Xavier Wolfe, Apologize to her? Never”, he said standing up.

“Then I suggest you prepare yourself cousin, because every time you run into her and misbehave with her, you’ll end up beaten and bruised. Now get out of my house”.

“You think she can touch me”? He said Smirking. I found the old man looking at me.

“Vanessa”? I saw her peek out from the kitchen, “Yes Mr. Wolfe”

“Get my wife for me”.

“Okay sir”.

“Rob”? I saw him walking in.

“Yes Boss”?

“The minute Rayna reaches the bottom of these stairs I want you to attack her”.

“Grandfather it is fine. Trust me. Don’t hold back on her Rob”. I said looking at them, Xavier started laughing. I looked at him with disgust. The minute she came down she started walking towards us when Rob grabbed her.

“Rob I really don’t feel like destroying your face and making you useless for the next two months”. She said and Rob let go of her.

“And you”, she said walking slowly toward Xavier. “Do you know how easy it is to kill someone? Like this”, she pulled out a pen and put it to his neck.

“Don’t move, you see this here is a very vital vein, once destroyed you’ll bleed to death and not just like that, there’s also ways to kill you with one prick of a needle in a certain place were all your blood will rush to your brain. You’ll start bleeding through every hole eyes. Ears. Mouth. Do not tempt me, let this be the last time I ever see you”.

Fuck me, even I feared her in that moment. I could see the horror on Xavier’s face. He stood up and walked out not looking at any of us or saying anything. She sat down in the chair and looked at us.

“Acupuncture. I was nineteen when I had an accident with my bike. Lee used Acupuncture. It is for healing but can also be deadly. You wanted to see me”?

Rayna

I knew exactly why he sent for me, Vanessa heard and told me. “I am extremely sorry for Xavier’s behavior dear. There will be a family Gathering on Friday evening and a party on Saturday, where you will be introduced As Adrian’s Wife to the entire Terrendale and other important families”. His grandfather said.

“Okay grandfather. We will be there”. I said quietly. He turned to look at his grandson.

“Shouldn’t you be at the company? Go on we’ll be fine”. hia grandfather said looking at him.

‘Okay”, he said standing up and walking towards me. He leaned over and kissed me while smirking, I knew his grandfather couldn’t see him. “I’ll be home at five sweetheart. Have a good day”.

“You too sweetheart” I said smiling at him, oh I was going to fucking kill him. After he left his grandfather looked at me.

“What would you like to drink Grandfather, some tea, coffee, juice”?

“Some Juice, if I may”.

“Okay. Vanessa?”.

“Yes madam”?

“Can you kindly serve us some juice and snacks. Also prepare lunch for...” I saw Mira walking in, the minute she saw me she smiled.

“Looks like I’m right on time. Hello grandpa”. She said hugging her grandfather, then coming to me and hugging me, “Hello Rayna”.

“Hello Mira, will you join us for lunch”? I asked her.

“I would love to but I’m here on a mission. I need your measurements and your preference also colors. So, I can have the stores pull all we’ll need when we go shopping on Friday”. She said smiling.

“Okay. Grandfather, please excuse us for two minutes. In the meantime, vanessa will take care of you”.

“That is fine you girls run along”.

I took her to Adrian’s office, and she was over excited, after ten minutes we left and she left after saying goodbye to her grandfather. During lunch Manfred Asked me about anything and everything. We were having Dessert when he asked it.

“You’re quite Dangerous and rude when people are rude to you but with me, you’re always quiet, kind and respectful, why”?

“I went to Greendale to live with my grandfather when I was eighteen. He was exactly like you. He gave me freedom; he trusted me, and I never did anything to break his trust. He heard so many bad things about me, but he never accused me, he always asked me my side of the story, I was, and I still am truthful. Even if saying the truth hurts someone feeling and causes problems, I will still speak the truth rather than lie and make someone happy temporarily. He was sick, he needed surgery”.

“That is why I came to Terrendale. But thy wouldn’t help him. I cannot lie and don’t want to lie to you. This marriage is a sham. Yes, Adrian and I are legally married but he married me so he could help me get revenge on the people I call parents. My grandfather died because my mother refused to help him, I can forgive them for everything they’ve done to me but not for that. You can hate me; you can tell me to leave and never return and I will do it’. I said quietly.

He sat back in the chair and looked at me. “Adrian is beginning to feel for you or there is something going on with him. He may not see it or understand it yet, but he does. I know about the marriage”. He said, I looked at him.

“Adrian doesn’t know that I know. I figured with the type of person you are you would eventually cave and spill it out. Hendrick and Cathy came to me this morning and told me. I was angry that Adrian would lie to me, but when I showed up here and saw his reaction to Xavier, I knew something was going on with him. That boy has never shown affection with any of the women he has dated, he has always been cold and distant with them”. he said shaking his head.

“Don’t let him know I am aware of anything just let it run its course okay. You will be introduced to society as his wife. If this is the way it should be then it’ll be. Now I need to run along there are a few people I need to meet. And don’t hurt him, sometimes he acts irrationally, please go easy on him for my sake”. He said standing up.

“Okay I will”.

I stood up and followed him out, I hugged him and said goodbye. As he was about to leave his necklace dropped to the ground, so I bent over to pick it up. I was about to give it to him when I noticed the pendant. I kept looking at it.

“Grandfather. What is this pendant”?.

“That is the Wolfe Family Crest. It is only known within the family and close circles, you will receive yours soon” he said smiling.

“Okay”, I said smiling at him, hiding the turmoil that was brewing inside me.

I stood watching as he left. My heart felt a bit relieved. I didn’t want to lie to him. That pendant. I need to speak to Adrian, I only hope he wasn’t the same person and aidrian didnt know about it or the person. thatpendant is the same one that person gave to me many years ago, i was ten when it happened. i only hoped to god he wast related too the Wolfe family because if he was then My father was about to pay dearly for the crime he committed.

Iheaded inside and straight up to my room. i openedd my bag and pulled it out, i checkedd it over and it was the same just as manfred's . oh god, what do I keep getting myself into. the rest of the day i spent it anxious and pacing the room. for some reason i felt like i was at fault, but i wasn't .
