Adrian

When we got home, she was still straddling me. She tried undoing my pants and I grabbed her hands. I opened the door and grabbed her. She pulled away and started running.

“Rob get a doctor over here now”. I said

Rayna

When my eyes opened, I sat up and was instantly hit with a headache. I laid back down and groaned out loud. What the hell happened last night. I was still in my dress. After debating whether I needed food or not. I reluctantly showered and dressed and headed down. I was halfway through my breakfast when he walked in, and I was left staring at him. He sat down but didn’t say anything and started eating.

Why was his neck covered in hickeys? Guess he had some fun last night. It didn’t bother me, there was nothing between us and he was free to do whatever he wanted. I guess he felt my stare because he looked up at me.

“You did it”. I dropped my fork

“Why would I….”?

“My mother tried to drug me, and you heard. you drank it to prove she did it because I didn’t think she would. I didn’t do anything to you. You did this on the car ride home. The minute we got home I called a doctor” he said as he continued eating.

“Why didn’t you stop me”? I asked him

“Oh, I tried, would you like every detail of what you did, how you climbed onto me, straddling me and I couldn’t move you because you had your legs wrapped around me. Or how I had to throw you over my shoulder and bring you in because you started running from me or how I had to tie you in a blanket to get you to stop trying to take your clothes off”.

I could feel my face getting hot. I remembered drinking the glass of champagne after that, nothing else. “Sorry” I said quietly. I was in all honesty embarrassed. I know how I am when I drink, but why did he let me mark him so many times.

“It’s fine”

“Lee will be coming over today at nine”

“Okay you can take him over. I’ll let Alia the nurse know also the security detail”

“Don’t you want to be there”? I asked him.

“No, I trust you. My mother doesn’t know where he is. I need to have a serious discussion with my mother and grandfather. And next time Don’t do anything that reckless. You could have had a stroke and died from the amount of drugs that was in that champagne”. He said looking at me.

“Then next time believe me” I retorted.

“I’m going to work” he said standing up and leaving.

God what the hell was happening. I walked out behind him. “Does Camry still work for you”? I asked him as he was about to get into the car. He turned around and looked at me.

“No, she’s probably hiding out at home after the abortion”. He said

“Good” I replied walking back into the house.

After he left, I did some work. Lee showed up at exactly nine on the dot. I had Rob take us over to the place. I texted Adrian to let him know we were headed there.

“So, the news has reached Greendale that you are Mrs. Adrian Wolfe. It was met with surprise and uncertainty. Ray, do you care about Adrian”? Lee asked me.

“I want to, but I don’t know how to Lee”. I said quietly. If there was anyone, I could bare my heart to it was Lee. He always knew what to say.

“You’re twenty-five Ray and a beautiful woman. No man marries a woman all for revenge, especially a man like Adrian Wolfe, however Love is a reason”. He said looking at me. Then I remembered what Adrian said to me the other night.

“What if I get hurt”?

He patted my hand “Everyone gets hurt in relationships Ray. Open up once you may be surprised give yourself this chance it may be good for you”. He said smiling at me.

“Okay”.

When we got to the house we headed in and I took him straight to my father in laws room.

“Remember the man in the kitchen I told you about”?

“Yes. Rayna is this him”?

“Yes. He is Ian Wolfe, Adrian’s father. Lee this is between me, you, Adrian and his grandfather alone no one can know about him”.

“Don’t worry they won’t”.

Adrian

The minute I walked into the building I saw the stares I was getting from my employees. One look from me had them turning away. I didn’t mind that she marked me. I was going over some documents when my grandfather walked in along with my mother.

“Adrian, what did you need to speak to me about”? she asked, taking a seat. I looked at the old man, guess he didn’t tell her anything about it and that we knew what she did. The old man took a seat and looked at her.

“Adrian Whatever decision you make I will abide by it” he said looking at me. I looked at my mother.

“Why did you do it. I didn’t want to believe you would stoop so low as to fucking drug your own son so a woman could get to me. Rayna could have died last night because she drank the glass of champagne you handed to me. Don’t bother denying it. When dad fell sick, you stopped caring about me and him you became selfish and thought only of yourself. As of this minute onward you are no longer my mother’.

“Adrian, you can’t do that. I am your mother and you’re throwing our relationship away for a disgusting nobody”.

I stood up and looked at her. “One more word against my wife and I’ll forget you’re a woman”

“Didn’t I warn you Susan? I told you to leave Rayna alone, but you wouldn’t listen. I won’t remove you from the family because that is Ian’s decision. However, you will move into the town house, and you will be replaced at the other branch”. Grandfather said

“Father please, she isn’t right for this family” she said looking at him.

“Neither were you when Ian Brought you to me. Now do as I say, or I will remove you from the family” he said

“Okay” she said quietly standing up and walking out of the office. Just then my phone began ringing. I Saw it was Rayna, so I answered.

“Yes Love. What. I’m on my way” I said ending the call.

“His eyes are open” I said looking at grandfather. He didn’t say anything, he stood up immediately and we left. When we got to the house we headed straight up to the room, when I walked in, she was standing at the side of the bed, her eyes were red it looked like she had been crying. I walked over to the bed and saw that his eyes were indeed open. He looked at me then at the old man. He tried to speak.

“Mr. Wolfe Please, don’t try to speak as yet. I’ll explain to your son and father” Lee said looking at us. He got off the bed and looked at us.

“Your father was sick from his injuries however he was also sick from something else” he said looking at us.

“What do you mean”? The old man asked him.

“Your father has been fed Tetrodotoxin, it paralyzes the body. And he has been given that in small doses over the past how many years. I suggest you look into the people that have had access to him”. He said looking at us.

“How do you know that”? I asked him.

“Thank you, Mr. Woo, my son has been like that since Adrian was about fifteen years old. I am happy that he will be fine” the old man said shaking his hands.

“I am happy I could help. I suggest you remove him from here and change his caretaker and investigate the medication he was being given”,

“We wi……” I stopped when the door to the room opened, and my mother stood there. She was shocked to see us standing there. We never told her about this house so why and how did she end up here?
