Chapter 665: Weeping Clown
The twelve-hour countdown had already begun.
The chaotic aura emanating from this woman who called herself the Weeping Clown set off alarm bells in my mind.
This battle wouldn't be easy.
The guide's intel was off, which meant all the risks ahead were unknown.
And that twelve-hour countdown was like a death knell, ticking away second by second.
"Cut the crap! Since you're so eager to die, I'll grant your wish!" I was done wasting words with her.
The Stellar Trident in my hand instantly erupted with brilliant azure divine light.
A mighty ocean divine power, like an awakening dragon, completely enveloped me.
I held nothing back, going straight into my strongest form from the start.
Against this kind of terrifying enemy whose depths were unknown, any probing would be suicide.
"That's more like it, my Sea Dragon King. You should show me your true skills to entertain me," the Weeping Clown laughed with sick pleasure.
The moment I unleashed my ocean divine power, her eyes behind the mask flashed with even more excitement.
The next moment, her body underwent a bizarre transformation.
On the surface of her white combat suit, countless spider-web-like black energy patterns appeared.
Those patterns seemed to come alive, crawling wildly across her body, finally condensing into pieces of metallic-sheen black exoskeleton armor at various points.
The Weeping Clown's hands were replaced by two energy claws over three feet long, flowing with sinister dark red energy and radiating a sharpness that could tear through anything.
Behind her, two scorpion-tail-like metal tentacles extended, their tips glowing with energy cannon ports.
In just a few seconds, the tall Weeping Clown transformed into a half-human, half-mechanical monster over nine feet tall, full of metallic texture.
The energy waves from her body were several times stronger than before, and that chaotic destructive aura was so intense it seemed ready to devour everything around it.
"What the hell is that thing?" Finn and Gulama stared at the transformer before them, completely stunned.
Even Zara, usually so worldly, now furrowed her brow.
"Matthew, be careful! She's forcibly fused her body with a powerful mechanical construct!" Olivia's voice came through the communicator, filled with shock. "I've only seen concepts and failed cases of this technology in the Association's top-secret files. I can't believe they actually succeeded!"
"The fusion material is very likely a runaway ancient mechanical beast excavated from Atlantean ruins!"
A runaway ancient mechanical beast, forcibly fused.
No wonder she'd become so strong, so insane.
This kind of fusion must have twisted her soul.
"Like my new look, Sea Dragon King?" The fully transformed Weeping Clown let out another piercing laugh.
Her energy claws lightly slashed through the air, actually creating spatial ripples.
"This is the Abyssal Demon Armor that those old geezers at the Association specially crafted for me to welcome you."
"Its power is far beyond your imagination."
Before her words finished, her massive body became a black blur, charging at me with terrifying speed.
The two metal tentacles behind her simultaneously shot out two thick dark red energy beams, blocking all my escape routes.
"Bring it on!" I roared, not retreating but advancing instead.
The Stellar Trident, enhanced by the ocean divine authority domain, shone with divine light.
Like a sea-calming divine needle, it struck hard toward those two energy beams.
BOOM! BOOM!
Two massive impacts.
The Stellar Trident collided with the energy beams, exploding with blinding sparks.
A tremendous force transmitted through the shaft, numbing my arms and churning my blood.
That dark red energy even carried a strange corrosive power, trying to erode my divine power and the trident.
"Cheap tricks!" I snorted coldly.
Azure divine flames suddenly surged from the trident, instantly burning away that corrosive force completely.
Then I stepped through the void, my form flashing, narrowly dodging the sweep of her two energy claws.
The trident in my hand shot out like a venomous dragon, carrying starlight and raging waves, stabbing hard toward the core at her chest.
That spot seemed to be the key connection between her and the armor.
CLANG!
An ear-splitting metallic clash.
My trident hit its mark, but it was like striking ten-thousand-year-old black iron.
It only sparked without penetrating.
The defensive power of this Abyssal Demon Armor was terrifyingly strong.
"It's useless, Sea Dragon King," the Weeping Clown laughed triumphantly.
Her two energy claws closed in like iron pincers, trying to snap me in half at the waist.
"This Abyssal Demon Armor fuses Atlantis's top defensive technology with the toughest armor from rift creatures. With your little bit of strength..."
Before she finished speaking, a cold smile curved my lips.
"Is that so? Then what about this?"
"Star Sea Divine Authority, Law Twist, Tidal Devour!" I growled, and an even more profound power suddenly erupted from the trident.
In an instant, centered on the trident's tip, the surrounding space began to twist and collapse.
Like an invisible cosmic maw, ready to devour everything.
This was an ability I'd initially grasped after mastering the complete Star Sea Divine Authority.
Though it consumed massive energy, it was particularly effective against purely physical defenses like this.
"What?" The Weeping Clown's triumphant laughter stopped abruptly.
For the first time, her eyes behind the mask showed genuine terror.
She could clearly feel that her prized armor was beginning to groan under the strain of the bizarre spatial twisting force.
Cracks appeared on the hard alloy, and the internal energy circuits started losing control.
Even more terrifying, a soul-level suction force emanated from the collapse point, leaving her unable to move.
"Impossible! How can you control law-level power?" The Weeping Clown shrieked, her voice full of despair.
She desperately tried to activate her energy to break free, but it was all futile.
Before Tidal Devour, so-called physical defense became a joke.
Her prized armor, like paper doused in acid, began breaking apart inch by inch.
And her flesh fused with machinery also made teeth-grinding sounds under the terrifying spatial tearing.
"Break!" I roared, pouring all my Star Sea power into the trident.
CRACK!
The supposedly indestructible core of the Abyssal Demon Armor's chest was finally pierced through completely by my Stellar Trident.
Azure divine flames full of purifying energy poured madly through the tip, burning her flesh and purifying her soul.
AAHHH!
The Weeping Clown let out a piercing scream.
Her eyes locked onto me, as if trying to brand my image into the depths of her soul.
Her massive body, along with that weeping clown mask, all turned to ash in the blazing divine flames, completely vanishing in this cold metal corridor.
