Chapter 19: Colton’s Point of View

Last night was the best night of my life. I marked and mated with Everly. I love her so much. We made love several times throughout the night and then I fell asleep holding her in my arms. My wolf and I were so content. All of a sudden, I get a mindlink from one of my warriors. Victoria is at the border and wants to talk to me. I told them to escort her to my office and I will meet them there. I wonder what she wants.

I get up out of bed and get dressed. I give Everly a kiss before I go and then walk down the hall to my office. I see Noah and Mason waiting at the door. All three of us enter the room and Victoria turns to look at me. She gets up and jumps on me. She tries to kiss me, but Noah throws her to the ground. I go and sit behind my desk. She takes one of the chairs in front of my desk. I look up and Noah and Mason are leaning against the wall watching. I mindlink the two warriors that they can leave.

Once the door is shut, I say, "OK Victoria, what is so important that you had to get me out of bed?"

Victoria says, "Colton, I am pregnant and you are the father. Remember prom night back at Supernatural High? You were in the lobby of my dorm and said that you wanted to talk, so we went down by the lake. We talked and then started making out and then we had sex. Apparently your little girlfriend must not have been able to satisfy you that night. Then it became a common thing to meet by the lake to have sex. The last time we had sex was the night of graduation and right before you met your mate."

I then hear Noah's voice say, "Are you kidding me bro, you cheated on my sister with this whore? I can't believe that you would do that."

Colton says, “There is no way that it is my child. Yes, we did have sex many times, but I used a condom every time."

She says, “Well, you are the only one that I have been with, so it is yours. Plus, don't you remember the condom breaking?"

I say, "No, I don't. What about your mate? Maybe he is the father."

She says, "I have not met my mate yet. He wasn’t at Supernatural High. I was going to start looking for him, but then I discovered that I was pregnant with your child. So, I came right here to tell you. I want you to reject Everly and make me your Luna. After all, I am having your heir."

Noah says, "There is no way that he will make you his Luna when my sister is already his Luna and they have mated and marked each other. Right Colton?"

I remain quiet. Noah gives me a disbelieving look.

All of a sudden, the door is pushed open and Everly barges into the office with tears streaming down her face. I immediately jump up and pale.

Everly says, "Yeah Colton how about you answer Noah's question. We are all dying to know the answer."

I say, "Everly, what are you doing here?"

Everly says, "Well, I woke up and you were not in bed, so I came looking for you. I have heard everything. Is it true? How could you do this to me? Was I not good enough for you to stay and make love to me on Prom night? You had to seek comfort with this whore. You cheated on me many times. Do you even feel guilty?"

I am speechless and I try to go closer to her and try to take her into my arms. She instantly pushes me away and Noah comes and puts his arms around me. She then lets out a loud sob.

She then screams, "Colton, I want an answer to all of my questions now,"

I flinch and my hands are fisted. I let out a growl. Everly looks at me and then looks at Victoria. Victoria has a smirk on her face.

Everly asks, "Colton, is it true? Answer me now."

I gulp and look down. I then raise my eyes and look into her eyes and say, "Everly, I am so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. Yes, everything is true. Please can you forgive me and then we can move on?"

That was definitely the worng thing to say. She looks really mad.

Everly screams, "You want me to forgive you. I don't think that I can forgive you."

Victoria says, "Everly, we were together for 2 months at Supernatural High and we had sex many times. The first time was prom night and it was my first time and I have only ever had sex with Colton. The last time was the night before he found out that you were his mate. Just let me have him. I am going to be the mother of his first-born and heir."

Well, someone is in dream land. I would never make her my Luna. I don't care if she is pregnant or not.

All of a sudden, the door slams against the wall and my parents and Everly's parents are standing there.

Her mom says, "What is going on here? We could hear screaming from outside."

Everly says, "Well Colton, how about you tell our parents about your little issue?"

Oh no, my parents and her parents are going to kill me!

Victoria says, "Don't worry babe, I will tell them the whole story."

Of course she will. She is such an idiot and cannot see the death glares that all of the parents are sending her.

She then proceeds to tell them everything. I just hang my head down. My mom and dad are looking at me with glares.

Everly's dad then steps up and says, "Colton, is this true?"

I just nod my head and look at Everly. I can see everyone in the room looking very mad except for Victoria of course.

Everly then looks at both me and Victoria says, “Well, I am going to go and pack, I will move in with my parents for right now. You two should be together to raise your child. Colton go ahead and reject me, so that she can be your Luna. I hope you are happy, you have ruined our lives."

Oh no I don't want to reject her, she is the love of my life and my Luna.

I start begging her to stay and she just walks out of my office. Everyone immediately starts yelling. Noah is trying to get to me and his dad is holding him back. Everly's mom and my mom are hugging each other and crying.

My dad walks up to me and says, "Colton, what have you done? I want you to listen to me. You get some proof saying that she is pregnant. Something does not feel right here. Why would Victoria stay here and not look for her mate right away? If she didn't find him at Supernatural High then she would have started going to packs and look for him. Something is not adding up, we need to figure this out before you lose Everly."

I say, "Yeah I know dad. She said that a condom broke, but that isn't true. I looked at all of them. There is no way. She needs to be watched."

He then calls over Mason, Noah, and Noah's dad. He says, "Hey guys, something is going on here. Why would Victoria not go and find her mate when she didn't find him at Supernatural High? Why would she wait?"

We all look over at Victoria and she is just sitting there looking out the window with a deep longing on her face.

I say, "OK, here is what we are going to do. Everyone keeps an eye on her. I want daily updates."

They all say, "Of course Alpha."

I then walk out of my office and head to our room. I step inside and Everly is packing. I just stop and stare at her. What have I done?

I clear my throat and say, Everly, you are my mate and Luna, you cannot leave me. I will raise the baby and Victoria can stay here and help raise the baby too."

Everly just looks at me. Then, she screams, "How could you do this Colton? Do you think that I will stay here with you and her and watch you raise your child together like some kind of happy little family, while I am looking in from the outside?"

I just stepped into another pile. I cannot believe this is happening right now.

I just look at her. She says, "No, I will never do that. You two deserve each other. Please just reject me so that I can get on with my life?"

I say, "Everly, I cannot reject you, I love you too much. We can get through this together. I am so sorry."

She says, "Fine, you don't want to reject me then I will reject you. I, Everly Stevenson, Luna of the Blood Moon Pack reject......"

I immediately slap my hand over her mouth and say, "Please do not reject me. I will give you some time to think about everything. Then if you can't forgive me, you can reject me. Ok?"

She says, "Fine I will take the time to think about things. I am going to go and see Bethany at her vampire coven and spend some time with her."

I say, "Ok."

She says, "I will be back in a week with my answer. Ok?"

I then wrap my arms around her and say, "I will see you in a week. Please remember that I love you and that I am going to miss you so much."

I then kiss her passionately and she returns my kiss just as passionately.

Everly says, "Colton, I love you too, but you have really hurt me. See you in a week."

I say, "OK, see you in a week."

She then picks up her suitcase and leaves the room. OK, I have one week to figure out what is going or I am going to lose Everly and that cannot happen. I mindlink Noah and tell him to put Victoria in a room to stay. Now on to the plan. Something is going on and I am going to figure out what. I then walk slowly back to my office and sit down. My wolf, Marcus, says, "Colton, you had better fix this or I am going to kill you. We cannot lose Everly and Amethyst. "

I say, "Yes I know Marcus. We are going to figure this out.

He says, "Well I noticed one clue that no one else seemed to notice. Did you notice that she was masking her scent? She had no smell."

I immediately mindlink Noah and ask him is he could smell Victoria?"

He replies, "Now that you mention it, she had no smell, like she was masking her scent."

"Yeah Marcus just gave me this clue. I think we were all to mad to sense anything wrong," i say.

Now all we need to do is figure out what Victoria is up to.
