Chapter 15: Packing and Finding Out Who Our Mates Are

I get back to my dorm room and pull my suitcases out of the closet. I still have tears streaming down my cheeks. I miss my parents so much. Bethany comes and also starts packing. We are both quiet because when we find out who our mates are, we won't see each other for awhile. We have been best friends since we were in diapers. We tell each other everything. I finish packing my suitcases and place them by the door. I look around the room and pick up all of my odds and ends and pack them in a couple of duffle bags. I sigh because this is going to be so hard to say goodbye to Bethany. She has finally finished packing. I crawl under my covers. She does the same.

I say, "Hey Bethany, do you want to watch a movie or just talk for awhile?"

She says, "Lets talk for a little bit and then go to sleep."

I nod my head at her. We talk about everything that we have done together and how we have to visit each other as much as we can. We then go to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day and a sad day.

Today, we find out who our mates are. I am so nervous, but excited. I hope that Colton is my mate. We have one hour left before we recieve our envelops that contain where our mates live and what time we meet in the auditorium to find out who our mates are. I hope my mate is here. Bethany and I are just laying around and talking to each other. There is a knock at the door. Bethany gets up to answer it and Miss Lake is there with two envelopes in her hand. She gives them to Bethany and then leaves. I sit up because I know that those envelopes are for us and they contain where our mates live and what time we have to meet in the auditorium. I look at the clock and it is 1pm. Bethany slowly walks over to me and hands me my envelope. My hands are shaking so much. I let out a large gulp and we just stare at each other.

Bethany says, “On three, we open them at the same time."

"Ok," I say.

We both count, "One, two, three and then we both tear our envelopes open."

I unfold the piece of paper and see where my mate lives. It says that he lives in a werewolf pack. It also says that I have to meet my mate in the auditorium at 1:30pm. I only have 30 minutes until I find out who my mate is. I start jumping around. Bethany is standing there with her mouth hanging open. I stop jumping around and just look at her.

"Bethany, where does your mate live?"

She looks at me and says, "He lives in a vampire coven and I have to meet him in the auditorium at 2pm."

She then says, "Everly, where does your mate live?"

I say, "My mate lives in a werewolf pack and I have to meet him in the auditorium at 1:30pm."

She starts screaming and jumping around too. We both just start hugging each other. She than stops and I do too and we just look at each other.

Bethany says, "That means that we will be going to different places. We have always been together."

I just nod at her and we both start crying and hugging each other.

I have just reached the door to the auditorium and I am shaking like a leaf. The werewolf guys are already in there waiting. The doors open and I walk in. All I hear is people shouting, Mate, and running to each other. I smell the most delicious smell, peanut butter and cedar.

I say, "Mate."

Then I see Colton and he is running over to me.

He says, "Mate."

He then picks me up and kisses me.

He says, "Everly, I am so happy that you are my mate."

I say, "Me too. I guess breaking up with me was a bad decision because we did turn out to be mates."

He says, "Everly, I am so sorry. I can't believe I was so stupid. Do you think that you can forgive me?"

I look him in the eyes and say, "Yes I think that I can forgive you."

He then hugs me and kisses my lips.

I then look around and see my brother hugging and kissing a girl. We walk over to him.

I say, "Hey Noah, who is your mate?"

He grins at me and says, "Sam is my mate."

Sam then turns around and I start screaming and laughing. We both hug each other.

I say, "I can't believe that you are going to come to our pack and that you are my brother's mate. My mom and dad are going to be so excited."

She says, "Yeah I can't wait. I am so glad that Noah is my mate. What about you, are you happy?"

'Yes I am very happy," I say.

We then walk out of the auditorium and stand around outside talking. I then see Elliot and he is standing with Katie. I can't believe that they are mates. They both walk over to us.

I say, "Hey Elliot and Katie, I can't believe that you two are mates."

Katie says, "Yeah I know, I am so excited to be his mate."

I just nod my head.

The vampire guys have just gone into the auditorium. Then I see Bethany coming towards the auditorium. She looks so nervous. She sees me and waves. I return the wave. She goes inside. About 10 minutes later, I see Bethany walking out holding hands with Kyle. Bethany sees me and they walk over to us.

I say, "I can't believe that you two are mates. This is so exciting."

Kyle says, "Yeah I was hoping that she was my mate."

Colton then comes over and wraps his arms around me.

Bethany says, "OMG you guys are mates."

I say, "Yes we are."

All of a sudden, there is a loud screeching voice. I am pushed out of the way and I turn and see Victoria jumping into my mates arms. She then kisses him. I can see that he is trying to push her away. I am furious. Amethyst is trying to make me shift, but I hold on and block her. I gain some courage and walk over to them and grab ahold of Victoria's hair and drag her away from my mate. I then slap her across the face and say, "Stay away from my mate, you whore." She holds her cheek and says, "Go to hell, he loves me and not you."

Then I hear a growl and I turn and see Colton shaking.

He says, "Victoria stay away from us. I do not love you. I love Everly and she is my mate and will be my Luna."

Victoria starts crying and runs away. I just stare at her. What was that all about I say to myself? I look over at Colton and he seems calm now. He comes over to me and hugs me. Then he kisses me. He then walks me to my dorm and says that he will see me in the morning. I just nod at him. Oh, I can't wait for tomorrow.
