Carlotta covered her face and looked at Lacey in disbelief. She couldn't figure out why her cousin hit her for this loser. She was clearly defending her cousin!
What Carlotta had just said was likely to make Lacey miss Quincy! As long as Lacey went out with Quincy, her life would undergo tremendous changes. For Lacey, who was determined to marry into a wealthy family, it was unacceptable!
Carlotta was not making this better.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Quincy is my boyfriend now. Carlotta, please respect him!" As Lacey spoke, she walked towards Quincy, snuggled up to Quincy, and glared at Carlotta angrily.
Quincy did not expect Lacey to beat Carlotta for him.
If he stayed here, the situation would probably get worse. After persuading them, Quincy left Hiroshima's love affair.
With Quincy's departure, Lacey's anger gradually cooled down. At this time, she felt a trace of guilt towards Carlotta.
Just as she was about to apologize to Carlotta, Carlotta suddenly giggled.
"Carlotta, are you alright?" Carlotta was beaten by Lacey. Why was she still laughing? Didn't Lacey hit Carlotta so hard? Did something go wrong with Carlotta's brain?
"Lacey, you are so smart. You hit me just now because you wanted Quincy to listen to you, didn't you?" Carlotta thought that this was Lacey's trick. She rubbed her blushing face again and said with complaint, "Lacey, even if you want to act, you don't need to make it so vivid. My face is numb and burninng now!"
Only then did Lacey breathe a sigh of relief. Luckily, Carlotta was normal.
"Alright, I was doing too hard just now. Carlotta, don't blame me. When I go out with him, you will be rewarded!" Lacey gently touched Carlotta's face and said.
"All right. I know that Dalton is born in the purple. It must be easy for you to give me tens of thousands of yuan." Carlotta blinked at Lacey.
Carlotta didn't realize that Lacey wasn't talking about Dalton.
Lacey smiled and said, "You are right." As long as she became Young Master Quincy's girlfriend, Lacey would squander his money.
They soon forgot about what had happened just now.
"Oh right, Lacey, didn't you say before that there was a super-rich man who went to your bank? Has he been there these past few days? Did you get the number for me?" Carlotta's eyes flickered, and she had great hopes for her future.
"What do you need his phone number for?" Lacey asked warily.
"Of course, I'm going to chase after him. A rich man like him is rare than you think! If I have his contact, I'll do everything I can to chase after him even spending enormous sum of money!" Carlotta said thoughtfully.
"Got it...." Hearing Carlotta's words, Lacey seemed to be deep in thought. At the same time, she felt a strong sense of crisis, "He hasn't come over these past few days. When he comes, I'll ask his phone number."
"Thank you, Lacey." Carlotta smiled sweetly, "I really want to see that young master now. I think he must be very handsome. Even if he is not handsome, as long as he is rich, it is fin. Why don't I meet such a rich person?"
Lacey secretly rejoiced in her heart. Fortunately, Carlotta did not know anything about Quincy. At the same time, she felt that it was hilarious. The rich and noble young man that Carlotta dreamed of was Quincy whom she had pushed around! She had always hoped that she could date with the rich man. But why Carlotta treated him like that every day?
The sisters had their own thoughts while Quincy had already returned to school.
It was almost 6 PM. Quincy felt a little hungry, so he went to the "Good Food" on campus.
Good Food is a private dining hall contracted by the school, which costs several times as much as the campus canteen.
After entering the dining hall, there were already quite a few students. Quincy walked to the front desk and lined up.
Then a mocking voice sounded from behind Quincy.
"Look, she's here for dinner too? She's really rich!"
"Look at her clothes. They're tattered. I don't understand what she thinks. Isn't she ashamed of being here?"
"The price of a meal at Good Food is enough for her to live on for a few days. How could she spend such money? Do you think her money was picked up or stolen?"
Damn it. Quincy just had a meal at Good Food. Why did these people spoke so harshly about him?
Anger was boiling up in Quincy's heart.
He turned around and saw three girls dressed in fashionable clothes. They were similar to the flappers on the street.
However, Quincy didn't know these three people at all! Why did they scold him?
Just as Quincy was puzzled, the three girls didn't even look at him and directly walked over.
Only then did Quincy realize that they were not scolding him.
Three girls walked to the front and stood in front of a girl. They crossed their arms and chewed gum. They looked at the girl with disdain.
Quincy looked at the girl. She was wearing a white half-sleeve T-shirt. The fabric of her clothes looked very low-grade. And she was wearing a pair of jeans. The design was outdated. There was a pair of canvas shoes that had been washed white on her feet.
"Guys, look at this girl. Her name is Jane Dulce. She is the poorest in our class. Every year, she gets all the scholarships and poverty money in our class. Look at what she uses it for! Eat the most expensive dining hall in the school. Shame on you!"
"Jane, are you ashamed? You're poor, aren't you? Now that you're here to enjoy the meal at the cost of the school, do you feel guilty for doing that?"
"You're shameless, aren't you? Alright, let's see what she looks like!"
The three girls took action. The two of them controlled Jane's hand and the remaining one grabbed Jane's hair and pulled her back with all their might.
Jane was no match for them. She struggled, but she couldn't get rid of it. She was about to fall.
Only then did Quincy see Jane's face. She was so pale, without makeup, and looked very beautiful. Her thin lips were tightly pursed and her eyes were closed. No matter how the three girls tried to mess with her, she did not make a single sound.
In the end, Jane fell to the ground.
"You deserve it, evil woman!" The three girls looked down at Jane who had fallen to the ground arrogantly.
It was Jane's turn to order. The waiter carefully asked Jane if he still wanted to order.
Jane got up from the ground, looked at the waiter and said, "Two seafood rice and two bottles of Evian, please. I'll take them away."
The Seafood rice was 58 yuan per serving, and Evian was 39 yuan per bottle. Even in the delicious food, they were extremely expensive!
When the others heard that Jane ordered such expensive things, they became very dissatisfied with her.
"You deserve to be beaten up by them. You're recklessly spending money!"
"I can't even afford to drink Evian. I didn't expect that the one who receives poverty money would be able to drink it. I will react to the school and make her a celebrity on the school net!"
"She eats two servings at once. Does she starve for a long time?"
Hearing the mockery of others, Jane didn't seem to care at all. Her gaze was fixed on the cook who was cooking in the kitchen.
Two portions of seafood rice were quickly cooked. Jane paid and walked out quickly with the food.
Seeing the girl leave, Quincy sighed in his heart. This girl was beautiful, but she was too greedy for pleasure. She was poor. However, she took the poverty money to eat such expensive food. Who wouldn't be angry when seeing her?
"Hey, there's still one here. They look like a couple! Look at what he's wearing. It's really a match for Jane!"
Quincy turned his head, and the three girls pointed at him.
Quincy had just witnessed the shrewdness of these three girls. He did not want to argue with them and did not stay here anymore. He walked out of the restaurant quickly.
When Quincy came out, he could still vaguely see Jane. Why did this girl buy two meals by herself? Quincy was puzzled in his heart and followed Jane.
Quincy followed Jane to the school's Redby Lake.
There was no one around the Redby Lake. The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the surface of the lake, sparkling liked golden threads. It was extremely beautiful.
Quincy hid behind the tree and secretly looked at Jane.
Jane placed the seafood rice and water on a stone. She squatted beside the stone and ate with her chopsticks.
As she ate, she began to cry. Quincy could hear her sniffing.
Did she feel moved to tears after eating such an expensive meal today?
No one would bring the food to the lake to eat.
Quincy felt that Jane's behavior was strange. After watching for a while, Quincy prepared to turn around and leave.
At this moment, Jane put down her chopsticks.
She slowly stood up.
Come on. Why didn't she take the garbage away? This girl was uneducated.
Jane did not leave. Instead, he knelt down towards the northeast and kowtowed three times.
What was going on? She even kneeled down for a meal?
Jane stood up and walked towards the lake.
The girl was not going to commit suicide, was she? A thought flashed through Quincy's mind.
Jane had already answered him with practical actions. She walked to the lake and jumped into the water.
