Chapter 86 Chapter 86

Chapter 86 Chapter 86

“Do what?” Carrie asked with that same smug smirk.

“Okay, I've had enough. I'm headed up; it's almost time for dinner,” Damon said, standing up. We all followed lead and walked away, leaving them there. After a much-needed shower, I headed out. I decided to ditch the elevator and use the stairs. I was about four steps down when I heard the voice. Someone was in the stairwell on the phone, so I stopped.

“When is he? Okay. I'll send my address to him so he can go to my home, but there is an issue. He can't be seen going there. No. He has to change his name. She's Dead.” The person said.
Well, this sounded interesting, so I sat down and continued listening.

“Look, I only made contact with you because at least one person needed to know the truth. Give him a new identity. You know money isn't a problem, right?. Okay, I'm not at home; I'm away with my friends at a resort. He’ll get there before I return. Of course he’ll recognize me; I'm his daughter.” The person said.

So this was a father-and-daughter situation.  Suddenly I felt bad for eavesdropping and stood up, about to leave.

“Justin I don't care. I want my father with me. He killed that bitch for me, and he would have killed that fucker too if he didn't have a knife at my throat".

After that I didn't think; I ran down the stairs, but no one was there. It was her. I rushed out on the other floor. I took the elevator to the lobby; when I stepped out, I saw her rush through the front door. I pulled my phone out and called Joe.

“Mr….”
“Anna is Tessa; she knows I know, and she’s running. She just left the resort; find her ass. Her father is being released; intercept him.” I ended the call and ran out; I ran into my parents.

“Zaiel, what's wrong?” My mother asked.
“Tessa, she’s here; she’s alive. I have to go.” I said as I ran off. As I rounded the corner, she walked into me.

“Jesus, what's… oh, Mr. Rhyland, sorry,” she said sweetly and tried to walk away, but I grabbed her hand.
“Mr. Rhyland, what are you doing?” She asked, and I just stared at her.

“Enough,” I said.
“Umm, are you okay? “Can you please let me go? My friends are waiting,” she said, but I didn't let go of her.

“You think this is funny, Tessa?” I asked, but her face remained the same.
“Mr. Rhyland, my name is Anna. “Anna Ryan, not Tessa,” she said, and she sounded so believable.

“Fine, then let's see how long you can last,” I said, letting go of her hand and walking away.  I texted Jax and had him prepare what I wanted; he replied saying it would be done.

During dinner no one looked at me.

“Zaiel, why do you look like you're about to commit murder?” Avani asked.

“Because I am,” I said. Everyone ate and talked amongst themselves but didn't talk to me. After dinner I was at the bar drinking when I saw her walk out with her friend towards the nightclub.

I sat there drinking until eleven, and then I made my move. I went straight to the nightclub. I saw her drinking with her friends. I grabbed one of the servers.
“Yes, sir?” He asked.
“See that girl?”

“Yes, Mr. Rhyland,” she replied.
“You won't get into any trouble. Ten grand. Tell her there's a delivery for her outside the lobby front door.  I said, handing him the money.

“Yes, sir,” he said, walking towards her. I pulled to the side and watched. He spoke to her, and she nodded. She told her friend something and began walking out. I stood back and watched her as she walked out; I knew Jax would be there and Joe was handling everything. I stayed in the club until. Jaxed texted it was all clear.
I walked out of the club and went out of the resort and got into the car.

“Let's go.”
“Yes, Boss,” Rob said.
It took us ten minutes to get there. When he pulled up to the small cabin, Jax was outside.

“Boss, she's pissed and cursing,” he said.
“Let her.” I checked the time; it was minutes to twelve. “Pick us up at six.”
“Yes, Boss,” they replied. I watched as they drove off. I took my time and walked up the path. When I walked through the door, she was tied to a chair, and her eyes were covered, and she was cursing. I stood by the door and watched her.

“WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU PEOPLE WANT FROM ME?” She yelled.

Tessa always knew when I entered the room with her; if I was a certain distance from her, she would know. I took my time and walked towards her; I was eight feet away from her when she stopped cursing and went quiet.

“Who's there?” She asked, but I didn't answer. I walked over and kneeled in front of her but didn't touch her.
“What did you do to your face?” I asked.

“Who are you, and what the hell are you talking about?” She asked. I reached out and grabbed the neck of her shirt, and she froze.
“Please don't,” she whispered.

“Why not?” I asked.
“Just tell me what you want,” she said.
“I want you.”

“Why me?” She asked.
“You know exactly who I am and why?” I said.
“I don't know anything,” she said.

“Last chance beauty,” I said, but she didn't answer.
“Okay then,” I said, standing up. I walked out of the room and went to the kitchen and grabbed a knife. I walked back to her and grabbed her shirt and was about to cut it off.

“FOR FUCK’S SAKE, KAI, COULDN’T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE?” SHE YELLED.
I pulled the blindfold off and stared at her.

“Why?” I asked quietly, but she didn't answer.

“I spent six months in misery because I thought you were dead. I stared at your fucking picture every day for the past six months. I drank myself into a stupor when it was too much and you were just happily living and I was in pain.” I said.

“Kai, I didn't…” She started but stopped. I cut the ropes off her hands and feet. She stood up and looked at me.

“I let you go when you asked; I gave you everything. If you had asked for my life, I would have given you that too. Leave now; you wanted freedom, a life, a life that doesn't contain me. So go; you have it now. I won't ever follow you again."
“Kai…”

“Leave. Go. If you don't walk out that door now, then you're never fucking leaving ever again. I’ll chain you to my fucking bed. Leave Tessa.”
