Who would have thought that my life would change like this overnight. And I would be dragged into a world that the world is unaware of, I thought.

I sighed, walking to the shelf where I saw a couple of books that looked ancient. I could read them after breakfast. It's been a while since Aurora went to bring us food. I was looking at the books when the door creaked open.

" Thank God, I was starving….," I trailed off looking back at who it was. My hunger was gone looking at the person standing a few feet away with a sick smirk on her face.

" So you are the mate of the alpha king? Who bought you," Evelyn spat with disgust. Each and every word of her felt like it was coated with venom.

" Why are you here?" I asked, deciding to show courage.

" oh,so you can talk now?" She asked sarcastically.

" I am here to tell you you don't belong here. And if you think you deserve Luke, a king, an alpha of all Alpha's, then you are dreaming here," she said, her voice deep enough to cut my flesh. With each step she was taking towards me, I could feel her anger.

" I am not dreaming. It is the reality and I am his mate," I said, calmly. I don't have to be reminded twice that I was sold and Luke bought me. But since Aurora told me about the whole mate thing, now i think it was fate that brought me here.

" And if you think I don't belong here, then tell Luke to reject me and dump me in the forest," I said, looking into her eyes, challenging her. I didn't know what had gotten into me but I can't stand her addressing Luke as her.

" that little pretty mouth of yours won't run for long, weakling," she said with a smirk. A shudder ran down my spine looking at the way she was looking at me.

" I have given you a chance and you decided to throw your life away. Hmm, interesting," she said, looking at her manicured nails.

" Let's see how long you are going to survive," she added.

" of course," I replied.

" and Evelyn right? Don't call Luke your man again," I said, with fury. I felt there was a surge of power inside of me clawing to get out and ripped her head off

" we shall wait and see," she said, before turning around and walking out of the room.

I released my breath before turning around. It wasn't hard for me to confront her but I don't know from where all this confidence was coming from but I am surely loving this side of me.

Looking out of the window I saw the sky was getting dark and the wind was colder and stronger which means it will pour soon.

I was so invested recalling the memories of when I was in my parents house that I didn't hear of someone coming into the room. The maids and I used to play in the rain. I loved this kind of weather. A bitter smile made its way to my lips.

A gasp escaped from my mouth as delicious sparks ran through my body, as soon as he touched me. I didn't have to look at him to know who he is, his sandalwood scent is enough for me to recognise him.

He grabbed me by my shoulders and pulled me slightly into his chest. All of my nerves coed down when my back met his chest. I closed my eyes in contentment.

" shhh," he coed me.

" don't be afraid of me," he said.

" Hmmm," I hummed, unable to form words or maybe lazy to say something.

A low rumble vibrated in his chest as he buried his face into my neck, inhaling sharply while rubbing his nose.

" I missed you," he said, my eyes flew open as the words fell from his mouth and my whole body burned.

" Baby, I need you," he said, moving my hair to the side to gain better access.

" Luke?" I asked, my voice came out as a moan. In this whole sexual tension I forgot that I was wearing his clothes with no bra underneath. I am sure that my pebbles were hardened enough to slice through the fabric but my mind was somewhere else right now to care for the fabric or my semi nudeness.

" I like you in my clothes. Oh hell , I will love it if you don't wear anything at all in my room," he said, his voice deep and husky, filled with hunger and lust. I bite down on my lips stopping the moan escaping from my mouth when his heated lips landed on my shoulder.

I leaned back and one of my hands went up to the back of his head, his hair felt silky under my fingers.

" ummm….." I moaned again. I knew it was wrong to feel this way for the person who bought me but my heart knew it was the most right thing to do and my body agreed.

His hand travelled to my stomach holding me firmly against his chest. I would have fallen on the floor if he didn't hold me.

" I can't wait to mark you and take you as my mate," he said, in a deep voice. I arched my back from his chest when his ministration on my neck increased.

He started kissing my neck as his hand went up from my stomach. My knees felt like jelly and the butterflies in my tummy were flapping their wings aggressively.

My eyes flew open when he turned me around and looked at me with a heated gaze. I could feel the flood down there. Then all of a sudden I felt a sudden shift in the air when he closed his eyes.

" Be mine, little one," he said, his voice no longer recognizable.

" you are…..

" Hunter," he said, cutting off.

" Hunter," I repeated his name and he smiled looking down.

" Where's luke?" I asked, curious and amazed at how this is even possible.

" He is still here, little one. But I pushed him away," he said.

" I am going for now but promise me that you will let Luke mark you," he asked.

" i…. I don't know," I said, honestly. I still haven't thought of the whole mate thing. His face hardened and he looked at me with his black orbs as his jaws clenched.

" Little mate, don't ever think of running away from me," he said, leaning closer. Our faces were only a kiss away.

" Believe it or not. I will hunt you down and will lock you here with me," he said, threatening me. I gulped looking at him and thinking of his sudden change.

" I won't," I said. I know he isn't a complete human but I also know that I was sold away.

He didn't say anything and just kept looking at me before he closed his eyes. I held my breath fearing he was mad or something. But when he opened them again I was met with the most mesmerising pair of eyes.

" Sorry kitten, I wasn't paying attention and he was begging me to meet you," Luke said, still leaning forward.

" begging?" I asked in disbelief.

" Yeah," he said, his eyes looking down at my lips.

" You don't know the power you have over him," he added, licking his lips as he was looking at the most delicious thing of his life.

" Scarlett," he said, his eyes met mine and I could see the seriousness in them.

" I need you to be honest with me," he said and I nodded.

" Will you be my mate?" He asked.

" i…… my words died down in my throat seeing so many emotions were swirling in my eyes. My eyes softened looking at his face. He may be a wolf and a king, but he is looking so innocent at the moment.

" Yes," I said without any second thought because I knew it was him that my heart wanted and for the first time I decided to listen to my heart.

He looked into my eyes for a few moments searching for something before his lips landed on mine for a peck. Everything happened way too fast to react.

My eyes widened when he leaned back looking at me with a smile on his lips.

" be prepared, baby. Once I mark you, you are not allowed to leave me or my bedroom….. he trailed off. I knew by now my whole face turned crimson red.

" I will come back for dinner and we will discuss further details," he said, clearing his throat. I didn't say anything as I kept my eyes on the floor. I was too embarrassed to say anything at the moment. All I could think of was that he kissed me and it was my first time.

" I will teach her everything," Aurora said, coming behind me, making my soul jump out of my body.

" were you the whole time?" I asked, clutching the shirt where my heart was racing. She gave me a wicked smile before shrugging her shoulders.

" sneaky brat," Luke said before he left the room.

" Did you see what happened?" I asked, raising my one eyebrow.

" Well, it was….. you were well….. she stammered while answering.

I gasped, hiding my face with both of my hands.

" stop with that. It is common for us to show affection to our mate and it's natural," she said.

" but it wasn't for me," I said.

" You guys are going to corrupt me," I said.

" We don't mind at all. You will learn. Enough with everything I brought breakfast for us," she said.

We sat at the couch and Aurora served the food. We talked while we ate. She explained everything I needed to know.

After finishing our food, we went out to the balcony where she continued with her explanation.

Her words made my whole body flush, knowing the intimacy between mates.

" For a king with ancient bloodline it will be much more intense then one could ever imagine," she said looking at me with a mischievous smirk on her face.

" We shall see," I said, and turned around to look at the trees as if they were the most interesting things to watch.
