Chapter 29

Luciano

I was losing control with her. She was doing amazing and I loved every second of it. The way her lips moved against mine in pure need. I wanted this from her. I expected this moment to happen far later than right now but she was totally unpredictable. She was furious in her actions. Wow. I must have admitted, she was one wild of a kind.

But wait, wasn't it too unreal to sink it down? My subconscious was trying to warn me of something because as far as I could recall, she ended up kicking me in the balls last time and this time, she could do worse. I took my distance from the appealing moment and opened my eyes, I followed her hand was going for a vase behind her.

There I saw her throwing it to my face. Fuck, it was coming for my head. I backed off and immediately stopped her hand by twisting her wrist. Ah fuck, I twisted her wrist. She hissed and the vase dropped, smashing into bits. I huffed loudly and looked at her. I noticed she liked to play her card after arousing me.

It was obvious she would never kiss me back after discovering such a hideous truth. "Oh, so, I see it again, you like to play it rough, don't you?" I took a predatory step ahead, she hitched back as if she would be able to dodge me. "I was just trying to please you in this condition... I was helping to comfort my baby," I seductively mumbled to her.

"I'm no one's baby, don't call me that ever again," She replied dryly and I chuckled playfully, it was time to annoy her more.

"I wasn't calling you a baby, I was referring to my actual baby in that womb," I elucidated while pointing to her slightly swollen belly under the loose shirt. No wonder she wasn't only my baby but my everything.

"This baby..." She smirked traumatically and put her hand on her stomach. "I never thought I would feel this disgusted by the news of being pregnant," Jennifer closed her eyes as tried to calm down the storm residing inside of her. "You know what, men like you should suffer the same way you make a woman go through with. It would be so much fun," I could understand how immensely this reality had affected her mental health. I could not blame her.

"Strawberry, we are the ones who make rules here. You're lucky that I chose to be a softie with you, otherwise, you don't know how pathetic people can be a torment for fragile women like you," I told her. She was lucky that I was the one falling in love with her; not Nikola or some other guy from my clan, otherwise she wouldn't dare to throw tantrums at them the way she threw at me. They would have tortured her until she submitted to them according to their will.

"This is an unsuccessful try at justifying your horrifying crime," Jennifer spat those harsh words at me but I was entertained by her beauty, I again got distracted by her looks so easily, she was made to be admired by me. "I should take legal action against you and I will," She folded her arms across her chest as she noticed me checking her out. It was naive of her to think her legal actions would make a difference.

"I'll help you with the procedures, anything else?" I offered, that was enough to make her roll her eyes over me. The plan was to make her fall in love with me and then I planned to explain the incident to her in a smooth way, but the woman who was nothing but a pain in my ass screwed up everything. Now, I was left to bear her abhorrent gazes.

"You know what, people like you should be buried six feet under to avoid mishaps in future," She gritted, picking up her shawl, she went to the bathroom. I looked around watching my room covered in a pathetic mess. I heaved a sigh.

I walked to the door and called Mario, "Call someone for room service," I commanded and he repeated the order on his Bluetooth. Before I could shut the door, he approached me.

"Master, your father is looking forward to meeting you in the billiard room," Mario said with a slight bow. I rolled my eyes. Ah, not now, dad. I was not in the mood to hear him defending his favourite sweetheart; Sofia. She must have recited the whole story in a venomous tone by now.

"Tell him, I'm coming," I had to finish it today. She thought she could act up all innocent and stain my reputation whenever she would want. If I was lenient with her, that didn't mean I could not be what I was outside of the house. I was a different person once I get professional but privately—in between of those who I loved—I was a gentleman.

Mario conveyed my order to my father's security team while I shut the room's door. "Tell Audrey to be present outside of the room's door, you follow me," There should be no man around her when I would be away, not even my own security guards.

I walked upstairs—to the billiard room. I got into the room and found dad playing snooker. He was eyeing his shot when he got aware of my presence. He struck his cue with a white ball and two solid balls dropped in the net.

He stood straight and gestured to me to pick up the available cue. I slipped it into my hands. "Good evening, father. Game going well?" I asked as I adjusted the tip of my cue and blew air on it. Father signalled his guard to adjust the balls for a new game round. He didn't finish his ongoing game and was too desperate to target me.

"It will start for me now," He replied and there was a challenge laced in his words. Alright, he wouldn't talk to me the easy way. I was fond of playing hard too.

"I'm eager to accompany you," I smirked, putting my hand on the edge of the table. Father bent on the table and eyed the white ball. I was following his gaze and cue. He gave his first stroke, the balls spread on the table, one managed to drop in the corner. He went for his next turn. I waited there for him.

"It's a good start, isn't it?" Was he really talking about the game or I was thinking like a blameworthy mouse.

"Yea... it is going good for you so far," I commented, inwardly feeling annoyed. I wasn't in the mood to play snooker with him meanwhile my life was falling apart.

"I'm talking about you. Is your early power-play move smart enough to secure a victory on the table?" He came straight to the point. I was impressed, no child's games were getting a room between us. He was referring to Jennifer's unexpected pregnancy. So the news was out.

"I doubt that. I believe I should have tested the pitch before striking a six but it was unpredictable," He laughed hard and walked to the other side of the table, bending again and playing his turn.

"If you weren't careful about it during the game, such shots become a poisonous bite in the ass... but again, you were inexperienced in terms of playing on the unprotected pitch. This was bound to happen," He mocked me for my sexual experience. For him, I was a loser who couldn't derive pleasure from women as if they were only made for sex or satisfying men's needs.

"But I don't regret it. I am glad my first game gave birth to some significant bonding between me and the opponent," I said, trying to take down all of his false dreams about me sticking to his princess who he was adoring for his own favours.

"But that opponent should be for one game or two. When you have a personal professional player at your ground, why would you go for a rookie? I would call it a silly move," Father thought I got manned up like him now, - that I had adopted his way of using women and throwing them after showering with money.

I smirked harder, this was going to hurt him but I could care less because his 'professional' player bought it on herself, though his pitch was getting higher notes but I should say he better get prepared for my answer. "I'm going to fire your professional player," Just as I said, Father threw his cue on the floor that it got cracked. I was looking up to this kind of reaction. I could observe the hype getting intense.

"I'll break your legs, Luciano!" He shouted at me, I raised my eyebrow as if he was really capable of hurting me. Thankfully, my grandfather had transferred almost every share in my name. He couldn't threaten me that easily. I was the one who had power in his hands, not him.

"Can you?" I questioned boldly, his face was picking up the colour. Now, I expect him to throw that cue behind him at me. "You can do nothing about it, dad, I bet you. You don't wanna come for me, I just don't want to hurt you with the amount of influence I hold across the whole world," It was a threat on a lighter note, I respected my father but I did not intend to suppress myself under his shoe anymore.

"You're threatening me, how dare you!" He lashed out, he was a cardiac patient, yelling was not suitable for his health conditions.

"Relax... relax, dad, or you will fall ill. I don't want you to fall on the bed for months," I kept my tone as tranquil as possible. Things were going fucked up in my life but I had to deal with it like my mother's way; she would always welcome trouble gracefully and deal with it like a boss lady.

"They will bankrupt me, why don't you understand!? I don't have any other option than to keep the proposal as it's supposed to be," He mentioned the proposal he imposed on me, he wanted to clear the Atlantic Arena project that was roughly a twenty billion dollars budget, but the thing was, it wasn't getting accepted from the board of construction records as my dad had tons of cases on him concerning fraudulent possessions and fake property papers. So, he made me a bridge and imposed Sofia as he thought I was lacking some manliness.

My grandfather made me agree on it. He promised me he would find a way but before that, he was gone with some unsolved problems. Since then my life worsened but I remained silent about it until I found the meaning of my life—Jennifer.

"It's better for you to back off before they refuse to refund your shares," I said like it wasn't any big deal.

"Gosh, what is wrong with you? Why don't you foresee the future of our trading company if we keep ties locked with Russo? Don't you see we can make billions out of this proposal," He didn't care if my life was at stake? He only cared about how much money he could extract from the market.

I was gaining it anyway. We could focus on your peace rather than making extra billions while running multinational companies.

"I don't want to debate over this anymore. You take your shares now or you will regret it, it's over from my side. I have been patient enough with this drama," I openly clear it up. Now, I didn't care if he would scream or fall on his knees. I would not bear her here anymore. "She is going back to Florence and it's decided. Now, if she wants to go with divorce papers in her hands, she can wait till dawn in the garden," I said to my dad and placed the cue in the cue holder.

"I am very disappointed in you, Lucian. Is this Lauren taught you? I regret leaving you with her," Okay, now, that's what triggered me. What did he say? He regretted leaving me with my mother? He wanted me to become more like Nikola who was ditto him. But I refused! I refused to be anything but like him and I would make sure to train Massimo the way I want him to be.

"You should be thankful that I am sparing you for my mother's death, or else, you wouldn't be standing here in front of me. So, before you take my mother's name, make sure to think a thousand times before you say it again," I lashed out and jogged out of the room.

Mario joined me as I walked toward my car. I raised my hand for my phone, Mario passed me that and I first called my lawyer's number and asked him to get the divorce paper ready in two hours and then, I dialled Killian's—Sofia's brother—number.

This shit had to end right here. I attached my phone and as soon as the third bell rang, he picked it up. "Oh, brother-in-law, how are you?" Killian greeted cheerfully. In the second, that spark was going to turn in rage.

"I'm sending your sister back home," I asserted. I could hear the air pausing around him. He might have guessed from my tone how grave the situation was.

"Wait... what? Is everything okay? She called me yesterday and everything was going fine with her, she said you guys were great—then... all of a sudden," He staggered, I could feel him at a loss at words.

"She will explain it to you herself. I'm sending her with a little gift," I said and cut off the call and gave the phone back to Mario.

"Ask Audrey if Jennifer's asleep by now," I said as I got to the basement where all of my Audis were parked in a perfect line—from SUVs to sports cars. He asked the question and got an answer before I got closer to my R8.

"Yes, master. Miss. Miller is asleep," He said in an affirming tone.

"Is it for sure?" I asked to make sure. He asked again because I was aware she could dodge my security team with her sleepy acts. Mario nodded his head when got an answer. I reached R8 and waited for a reply before I got inside.

"Yes, sir, Miss. Miller is very much in a deep sleep," He said and I felt relieved.

"Ask Andrew to re-study the contract with Russos, we are going to terminate it soon, so, we should know the penalty we are paying for the action," I ordered him and he nodded. "And also, prepare our best fighters, those who are from the black belts and also take Sofia to her home and hand her the envelope from Damien when she reaches her home," I told him and he noted my orders. I shut the door of my car and pressed the start button.

The car roared and I drifted out of the basement. For important work.
