"Did you guys book a hotel or something?" Shawn asked.
"No, we'll just go anywhere, where are you staying?" I asked.
"I stayed yesterday at my apartment and I'm going to my parents today and you guys are coming" Shawn said "I mean I’ll go see my parents but if you wanna stay at my apartment, it you're choice, anything you're comfier with".
"I don't know, maybe your apartment because I know your mom would go crazy if she knew I was here, and she didn't clean your room?" I said, "and I don't want your parents to worry about it".
"You're right, mom will kill me, just wait when she sees you. You okay with it, Jai?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah, yeah, of course, you guys just enjoy your time" Jai said as me and Shawn laughed.
"Someone misses his so-called friend" I said as Jai eyed me.
"take us to my parents’ home" Shawn told the driver.
"Wait, are the bags here?" I asked.
"Yeah, Mr. Andrew brought them" the driver said.
"Alright thanks".
After a drive, we parked in front of a house.
Shawn got down and opened the door for me then helped me get down.
Shawn rang the bell before the door was opened by Manny.
"Amelia?!" He said looking surprised to see me.
"Hey darling! What are you doing here?!" He asked as he pulled me into a hug.
"I came here to surprise Shawn, and hello" I said.
"It's nice to see you! Hello Jai" Manny said as he hugged Jai before hugging Shawn.
"KAREN! WE HAVE GUESTS!" Manny yelled as we got inside.
"Is Shawn here?" She asked.
"Yeah but we have 2 other guests!" Manny said.
"Who is here? Oh my god!! Lia! Jai!" Karen said as she ran to me and hugged me then to Jai.
"What are you guys doing here" She asked before smacking Shawn's head "why didn't you tell me she was coming!!”
"Ow mom!" Shawn yelled.
"He didn't know I was coming, I surprised him" I said.
"Oh, wait you came all the way to surprise Shawn? Shawn?! And you're pregnant!” Karen said.
"Karen please not you too, my family and Shawn has been talking about it all day" I said.
"Well, you didn't have to surprise him, all you have to do is rest Lia" Karen said.
"I will" I said.
"How are you Jai?" Manny asked him.
"I'm great how about you guys?" He said.
"We're good" they said.
"Where's Liylah?" Jai asked.
"She's at her friend’s house but I'll text her now to come home" Karen said..
"How's our baby doing? is it making you tired?" Manny asked.
"the Baby is good and yeah a bit, my back hurts at night and it's hard for me to sleep" I said.
"Look at the bump it's quite grown since the last time we saw it" Karen said as Shawn placed a kiss on my bump making everyone smile.
"I really can't wait to be an uncle!" Jai said.
"Well, I'm sure everyone is waiting for the baby to come out quickly" Shawn said "specially us" he put his hands on my bump.
"but let me tell you, I don't know about you Manny, but I'll be staying the first months with her, so I won't be here in Canada" Karen said.
"you're welcome at our apartment Karen, anytime" I said.
"yeah mom, that'll help Lia so much, at least she'd have someone who can help" Shawn said.
"that's what I've been thinking about, you know I'm not her mother, but I'd help" she said.
"Karen, you are my mother." I said as she gave me a smile.
"it's right that I don't have my biological mother, but I have 2 mothers instead. You and Amanda" I said.
"I love you darling" she said as she hugged me.
"my parents are happier to see Lia than me" Shawn said as we laughed.
"We're happy to see you too son" Manny said before the house door opened loudly and Aaliyah ran into the living room.
"LIA!" She said as she ran to me.
"Careful!" Karen, Manny, and Shawn yelled.
"Hey kiddo!" I said hugging her.
"Hey Lia! I missed you! So much!" She said as she pulled away then went to hug Shawn.
"Missed you" She said.
"Hey Jai!" Aaliyah said as they hugged.
"Hey, I was just asking about you" Jai said.
"I'm glad you guys came, I'm happy!" She said as we chuckled.
"How's our lil baby?" She asked as she took a seat beside me.
"the baby's quite good" I said.
"I can't wait for the baby! I swear I can't shut up, it's all I've been talking about to my friends" she said as we laughed "me and Ava are going to spoil your kid. I swear" she said.
"You can't" Shawn said sticking his tongue.
"you'll be having school and I'm sure you'll only go for a few days" Jai said.
"I'll be staying there for a month" Karen said.
"What?! Mom! That's unfair mom!" Aaliyah said.
"It's fair, it's my first grandkid after all" Karen said.
"Yeah and it's my brother’s kid!" Aaliyah said.
"We'll visit them, don't worry, you'll see the baby!" Manny said.
"Amelia, I think it's time you should rest, it's been a long day for you" Karen said.
"Yeah and I guess we should say our goodbyes, Our airplane is in the morning" I said.
"We're going to miss you" Karen said.
