I walk into the main living area. Eva is at the piano, she loves music, and plays with amazing skill. Thanos is behind the bar mixing some weird drink for himself. I have to tell them the news, it’s not every day that one of us has a vision of the future, but when we do it’s a warning. This time it involves something that will directly affect Thanos. Thanos can be a bit of a hot head, and I don’t know how well he will take what I have to tell him.
I sit down on the couch. Thanos and Eva join me. Eva gives me a goblet of red wine. Eva is like the mother to Thanos and I, she is always taking care of his, making sure we have everything we need. Eva is sweet and kind. She cares so much about us, and she cares a lot for the mortal beings as well.
“I had a vision last night,” I declare. It’s better to tell them quickly like ripping of a band-aid. I take a deep breath. “It was about Emmy Caine and Carter Baxter. Emmy is pregnant. I don’t think she is aware that she is. This is bad because if the Enchantress finds out Emmy is pregnant, she will try and take the baby. She could use the baby against Emmy like she did with Calder against Gemma, but this will be worse, because the fate of the world will be in trouble. Also, the baby is Thanos soulmate, we can’t let the baby be harmed.”
“I’ll kill the Enchantress myself if she hurts my soulmate,” Thanos declares. He’s pissed.
“I don’t understand. I thought Emmy wasn’t going to be pregnant till after the war. That is what is written in her timeline.” Eva is trying to be the voice of reason.
“You know that there are higher beings above us. They hardly interfere, but they have done so in the past. They can change anyone’s timeline, even ours. It’s rare that they change things, but they have. We now have to deal with the change. We must warn Emmy.”
“I can place a protection spell on the baby,” Eva states.
“Yes. We must protect my soulmate. It’s not bad enough we are in the middle of a huge war, but the higher beings have to make a major change to the timeline.” Thanos crosses his arms against his muscular chest, like a stubborn child.
“We will protect your soulmate Thanos. I’m going to summon Emmy and her team. Her team, family, and friends will help make sure she is safe. Eva will put a protection spell on the baby.”
Everyone agrees to the plan. Thanos is still pissed off. I knew it wouldn’t go over well. I have no idea why the higher beings would change Emmy’s timeline, but they did. I’m sure there is a very good reason, and at least they gave us a heads up. They didn’t have to give me the vision.
I worry how Emmy will handle this news. Emmy is only eighteen, and she has a huge responsibility as it is with leading her team. Now, she has agreed to be the leader of the coven once her grandmother steps down. Emmy is going to have a lot on her plate. I also worry about Carter. He is a strong man, but he has been in a fragile state ever since the Enchantress killed his friends, and then she tried to kill his parents. Them having a child will put even more stress on them, they will have to worry about protecting the baby.
I contact Lynden and tell her to bring the team to us as soon as possible. The sooner Emmy knows the better. Eva is preparing a strong protection spell to protect the baby. Emmy can handle herself, and she will be less worried if she knows the baby is protected by spells cast by Life herself. I hope the Enchantress doesn’t find out about Emmy’s child; it could be a total disaster.
This war just keeps getting more complicated by the moment. Every time I think we are ahead something happens that creates an obstacle. The Enchantress has to be taken out that much everyone knows and agrees with, but she is surely not going down without a fight. I sigh with frustration as I begin to pace the balcony. Fresh air always does me some good. I just hope Emmy doesn’t freak out too badly. This is just another thing to shatter her already fragile word.
