Theo’s P.O.V. (Continued)
“I am not going to hurt you, Rudolf. Just tell me what Bethany did to my son,” I asked him again, trying to suppress my anger, but it was impossible when my wolf, Aero, was fighting to get out and tear Bethany apart for hurting our pup.
Rudolf immediately took two steps away from me, looking at me fearfully but completely alert.
“It… it’s has been six months. Evan was playing in the backyard garden. He was watering the plants with Hank and two other helpers when Bethany went there, and Evan accidentally spilled some water on her shoes.” Rudolf told me, still keeping his distance from me, and looking at me with fear.
“She yelled at him for spoiling her expensive shoes and being a useless brat. She was about to grab Evan’s neck when Hank warned her and pulled Evan behind him.” He continued, but only I knew how hard it was for me to stay still and not to dash to the dungeon and kill that bitch.
My poor baby and my mate….
“Bethany slapped Hank and started fighting with him to get Evan. When I reached there, Hank and she were in a fierce fight.” He paused and gulped hard; fear deepened in his expression.
“I immediately mind-linked Beta Willow and subdued Bethany. Even though Hank and others succeeded in keeping Evan away from her, she, somehow, managed to tear Evan’s shirt. He…. Her nails scratched Evan’s back slightly, but Hank took most of her beating until I subdued her, and later Beta Willow put a command on her to get out of the pack house until Alpha came back.”
A growl tore through my throat, but it wasn’t me.
It was Aero.
Why didn’t Willow tell me about that?
I am her mate. I should have sensed her distress.
Why didn’t I?
Hank and other helpers in the packhouse are omega by rank, while Bethany was a warrior.
Of course, Hank is no match for Bethany when it comes to fighting.
No wonder Hank was absent for a week back then.
It must be at the same time.
“Let’s go,” I commanded him coldly and marched towards the way where we could enter this holding cell.
Rudolf followed me silently. My nails were thrust so deeply inside my palms that the blood was now seeping out through my fingers.
“Let me out. I asked you to call Alpha. Did you forget who I am?” I heard Bethany screaming like a banshee.
Her voice was now echoing through the small space in the basement.
“Who exactly are you to make this demand, Bethany?” I asked her coldly while moving towards her cell.
She stopped screaming at this very instant and looked out of her cell.
She couldn’t touch the bars of the door because the whole door was made up of iron with a thick coat of silver.
“Theo…… you need to call Alpha now. This is so unfair to me.” She demanded angrily, but I could see desperation in her eyes.
“Theo? Am I low ranker than you, Bethany?” I asked her sarcastically, stopping in front of the cell door, keeping a safe distance from the door.
She was stunned by my confrontation and blinked harder, dumbfounded.
“What’s your status in the pack, Bethany? What gave you the courage to call me by my name?” I asked her in the same sarcastic tone but didn’t mask my anger.
She took a step backward, looking at me fearfully.
“I……. I am Alpha’s woman. I… I will be the next luna.” She replied while stuttering hard in fear, still taking a few steps backward.
“But we already have our Luna now, and she is not Alpha’s woman, but our alpha is her man,” I replied mockingly.
Her eyes widened in shock.
“And you offended our Luna and our Beta female. That’s why you are here, right?” I asked her in the same manner, tilting my head lightly, my gaze cold and dangerous.
“Let me out. I need to kill her.” Aero demanded, still fighting for control, but I suppressed him.
“You will have your time with her, Aero. Let me deal with her first.” I scolded him, and before he could protest, I forced him deep inside my mind and blocked him.
“She is not our Luna. I refuse to accept her as my Luna. That filthy human is nothing but a leech.” She once again screamed at the top of her lungs.
The next second, I raised my hand and banged it on the silver door while roaring angrily. The burn on my palm only fueled my anger more.
She screamed in fear and immediately fell to the ground on her butt.
“You are nothing but a pack wore who opened her legs for the alpha, nothing more than that.” I roared, showing her the right place.
Her eyeballs almost popped out of their sockets in shock.
“He gave you money and luxuries as payment for your services. How could you delude yourself into thinking that you would be the Luna of this pack? Our pack?” I continued roaring at her, leaving her with no dignity.
“Th… that’s not true.” She still refused, her voice trembled hard, and tears started slipping down her face, but this pitiful act never affected me.
Only Willow could affect me, not any other woman.
“I got complaints about you bullying the people around the pack, throwing your weight as the future Luna. You even touched my pup, Bethany. Who gave you this courage? Who?”
I was now trembling hard in anger, but Rudolf grabbed my shoulder from behind, keeping me standing at the same spot.
She didn’t say a word in reply this time but continued looking at me with a pitiful gaze, looking hurt.
“Alpha Lucifer has already announced that Evan will be the future alpha of the pack in the future if he does not have his pups. You dare to hurt the future alpha. Do you think that you are above the law, Bethany?” I continued, but she narrowed her eyes.
“Don’t think that way, Bethany? When you hurt him, he was the future alpha. You committed a crime against the future alpha, and you think that you will go unscathed?” I continued berating her and took a deep breath in the end.
“I am launching an investigation into your conduct in the pack after you started serving our alpha as a sx slave. You just count your days on your fingers, Bethany. You shouldn’t have touched pups.” I threatened her, banging my hand on the door bars again.
The silver burned my palms, but I deserve this for neglecting my pups and my mate.
“That’s enough, Beta. Don’t forget that Beta Willow can feel this pain too.” Rudolf reminded me of Willow and our connection.
I wanted to push him away, but he was right.
"I..... I am pregnant with Alpha's child." Bethany suddenly dropped the bomb, speaking hurriedly when I was about to step away.
I narrowed my eyes, processing what she just said, and then I sucked in a breath in shock.
Damn it...
