Chapter 11 Are you really her father?
Lucifer’s P.O.V.
No woman had intrigued me as much as this human woman intrigued me. There was fear in her eyes when she saw me, but that was fear of losing someone close to you.
Her palms were rough, but that roughness felt soft when she touched me. Beast purred so animalistically that it sounded unreal.
This was the first time that he reacted like this.
We enjoyed sx, but it was never about connecting ourselves with any woman.
The sx was only a way for us to fulfill our urges.
But her touch….
That made me crave her in a very strange and different way.
And then that name came out of her mouth….
Igniting a fire of jealousy and possessiveness in my heart.
Beast almost took control of me when she collapsed after calling me that fithy name.
I looked at the doctor with a grim expression on my face.
I brought the unconscious woman into a moderate guest room.
Theo already knew what he needed to do while I stayed with her.
Alfred and his family were still standing outside the door, peeking inside from time to time.
Alfred’s beta, Jacob, was the one who was inside the room with us.
“Who is she?” I asked Jacob while the doctor was examining her.
“She is Alpha Alfred’s firstborn—Anaya Rivers.” He told me, and I narrowed my eyes in confusion.
How did I not know that Alfred had a human daughter too?
“She is born from our first Luna, Vera Rivers.” He added it, and I raised my brows in surprise.
“She was a human and stayed our Luna for ten years. Alpha Alfred found his mate, Luna Winnie, and brought her to the pack. Luna Vera died, leaving Anaya behind.” My jaw clenched hard. I almost ground my molars to suppress my anger.
How pathetic?
It seemed that Alfred was born to deceive people for his greed.
“Beta Jacob.” The doctor called him in a timid voice, making me look at him too.
He immediately shrieked his shoulders but didn’t look at me.
I could see the beads of sweat on his forehead.
“She fainted because of an emotional breakdown. She is physically fit, a …. A bit weak… I guess she didn’t eat well in the past few days, and I also found traces of wolfsbane in her blood, but she has an immunity towards wolfsbane. So, no side effect at all.” The doctor reported in a timid voice.
I listened to him intently, getting the key points in his statement.
“I have given her something to make her sleep for long, Beta Jacob. For her recovery, it’s best for her to sleep well. She still needs to get at least two bottles of infusion.” The doctor added it next.
“For how long will she sleep?” I asked the doctor coldly. He trembled hard in fear, still looking down.
“Sh…. She may wake up tomorrow morning, Alpha.” He answered me, and I grimaced.
That long???
“T… this sleep is for h… her mental state.” His body was trembling so hard that he was about to fall at any time.
“She went through so much. Of course, she will be psychologically unstable. And then your face popped out in front of her like a nightmare.” I glared at Theo when he chimed in casually but remarked sarcastically on my face.
Theo looked at Jacob with a blank expression.
“You didn’t know what happened to her before you kidnapped her and brought her here?” I also looked at Beta Jacob for the answers.
Alfred and his family didn’t enter the room and stayed out.
“She…. Uh…. She was about to marry her boyfriend of four years….. b… but he died in a road accident a week ago," Jacob replied hesitantly.
Beast growled aloud angrily, pissed by the mention of her boyfriend.
But I felt sorry for Anaya.
“What do you know about her boyfriend?” Theo asked him again while standing up.
My hands were thrust inside my jeans pockets. I still felt an itch to smack Theo’s head.
“They… worked together and…. And he was an orphan.” Jacob replied to Theo awkwardly.
“So you don’t know that Vincent and Lucifer have the same facial features, huh?” Theo asked, and I widened my eyes in shock.
“What? No…. I…. I didn’t know. I have never seen Vincent.” Jacob yelled in panic, looking between me and Theo.
“Alfred.” I roared without moving my head.
I heard a woman screaming at the door. Her voice irked me more.
“Alpha Lucifer. I swear, I didn’t know that Anaya had a boyfriend a… and she was about to get married. It’s a good thing that he is dead now.” Alfred spoke fearfully, flattery evident in his tone.
I snapped my head in his direction, narrowing my eyes in the process.
“Are you sure that Anaya is your biological daughter?” I asked him in a taunt. His face turned ashen immediately.
"Because of the way you are smiling at her bad luck, you don’t appear as her father.” I added it angrily, making him tremble so hard that his knees buckled.
“And why is she here? Why did you kidnap her, huh?” Theo suddenly asked, and I almost lunged at him in a fit of rage.
He didn’t speak, looked at me in terror, and then glanced at Jacob.
I slowly craned my neck in his direction. I am hotheaded and kill without thinking, and right now both I and Beast wanted to destroy this whole pack, filled with nothing but arrogant and dumb aes.
Jacob held his breath while looking at me fearfully.
“You know what?” I spoke to Jacob angrily.
“You are lucky that she is here today, or else I would have killed all of you by now.” I added threateningly, but it was enough for them to tremble hard in fear.
“You dare to deceive me. How can I leave you guys without teaching a lesson to you?" My anger was now skyrocketing.
“She is our only chance to salvage the solution, Alpha Lucifer. You… you don’t know how intelligent and sharp-minded Anaya is. She is the only one who can take over the pack and can get this pack out of the danger.” Jacob yelled in panic, blurting out everything that he had in his mind.
“What do you mean that she can take over? Did you bring her here to make her kill me?” Alfred yelled at Jacob in shock.
“Enough.” I roared aloud, shaking the whole room.
I didn’t have the patience to talk to these fools or listen to their bantering.
“You owe me 500 million, Alfred. Pay me in two hours, or else your pack is finished by tomorrow morning.” I roared my threat one more time and was about to march out of the room when Beast stopped me.
“We can’t leave her here.”
"She has someone else in her heart." I grumbled and signaled Theo to stand up.
"And that someone is dead. Didn't you hear Jacob? He died a week ago." Beast argued instantly.
"And he had the same face as us," he added, and my breath hitched.
