Stella's point of view.
"Alright, we're here" Jimmy said as he stopped in front of our (I and Megan's) apartment.
"Thank you" I told him and made to open the door, but he held my hand.
He tilted his head and looked towards our door.
"Should I come with you?" he asked.
"Uh.." I trailed off and looked towards the door too.
Megan sounded sad and heartbroken earlier, letting him come with me might not be okay.
"No, I don't think it's gonna be a big deal"
"Really? You know, Meg's call sounded pretty urgent, I can be..."
"We'll be fine, just go and have fun with your friends" I smiled reassuringly at him.
His brows furrowed slightly in disappointment, stared at me for a moment as though he's thinking of what he's gonna say, but later decided against it and didn't say anything but simply nodded in agreement instead, then let out a sigh.
"Just call me if you girls need anything"
"Sure" I replied, then quickly alighted his car. "Drive safely and don't drink too much later"
Without waiting for his reply, I gave him a short wave and dashed towards our apartment.
••••••••••••••
"Megan! Megan!"
I shouted as I carelessly and hurried pushed the door open, almost hurting myself in the process, but I cared less and rushed in.
"Meg?"
I called once more expecting to see her in the living room, but she wasn't there.
Where could she be? -I wondered.
Wait....
Don't tell me she didn't get the job and decided to do something stupid!
My heart skipped in fear as that thought crossed my mind, I suddenly forgot how to breathe.
Until it struck me that she might be in her room, without wasting anymore time I dashed towards her room, and pushed the door open, only to find her sitting at the foot of her bed with her knees hugged tightly to her chest and her chin resting on her knees as she sobbed.
I closed my eyes, inhaled deeply and let out a sigh of relief when I realized she's fine.
"Meg" I called as I approached her.
I squatted to her level, reached forward and raised her chin, but she grabbed my hands and pulled me into a tight hug then cried loudly on my shoulder.
"You're finally here, Ella" she cried more. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" she apologized as she cried.
I was lost, I didn't know what she did wrong that she was apologizing for, or even why she's crying, so I could only pat her back comfortingly and let her cry until she's had enough.
She pulled away from the hug, then held my hands and looked down at them.
"Uh.." I cleared my throat. "Are you gonna tell me what happened?" I asked.
She nodded slowly, but stayed silent.
I raised my brows and was about urging her to speak, but my words were stuck in my throat and I choked on my spit after hearing her speak.
"I sucked a cock" she said.
"You what now?"
"I sucked a man's cock" she rephrased her words.
I stared speechlessly at her for a moment, as I tried to process what had just proceeded from her mouth.
Is she joking or what?
Did she just heard herself? Or her brain's dead and she can't control what comes out of her mouth?
"I just gave the ceo of sin a blowjob" her words were extremely clear this time and she flinched back slightly at my reaction.
"What?!" I exclaimed loudly, with my eyes widened until they're bigger than the size of an orange.
"I, I, I..."
"You gave the CEO of SIN a fuçking blowjob?!" I shouted again.
Megan pouted her lips angrily, then flashed me an offended glare.
"Should I give you a microphone to make it louder?" she asked.
I shut my mouth at once and gulped loudly as though there's a big lump in my throat, I blinked a few times as I stared speechlessly at her, I couldn't bring myself to believe what she has just said.
"What happened?" I asked after getting over my shock.
But she simply shook her head and let more tears flow down her cheeks.
"Giving a stranger a blowjob or even having a one nightstand isn't your style, what the hell happened at the interview, Meg?"
Her lips quivered as she stared at me with her red, teary and puffed eyes.
"He.. he said I can't turn.. turn a man on with my dance moves" she hiccuped.
"Oh"
My shoulders slumped down after hearing her and my lips curved in a small smile.
"I, I, I just wanted to teach him a lesson and make him realize how wrong he was"
I nodded. "You did teach him a lesson, baby"
I pulled her into my arms again, and rested her head on my shoulder then gently pat her on the back, but unfortunately, she broke into tears again.
"I'm a slût, Ella" she cried. "I'm now a slut"
"Shh" I placed a finger on her lips. "You're not a slût"
"That's what I am now, I'm..."
"No, no, no" I wiped her tears, but they won't stop flowing. "You're not a slût at all"
"You think so?"
I nodded with a comforting smile.
"I know so.. I mean, I'm a sex addict, I fuçk around and yet I don't see myself as a slut, so you're definitely not one"
"But I..."
"Listen to me, Meg"
I held her shoulders and made sure she's looking straight in my eyeballs.
"You're one of the most purest and kindest human on earth, so you're definitely not a slût and I swear on my Mama's grave, I'll spank you so hard if you ever refer to yourself as a slût again" I said with all seriousness.
Her lips curved as a smile threatened to creep up her face, but she didn't let it.
"You know what, Meg?"
She shook her head.
"Life comes in phases, there are phases in life when things don't go exactly how we want them to, and sadly, there's nothing we can do about which makes some of us go rogue"
She nodded slowly to show she's listening and understanding the point I'm tryna make.
"And I think you've just arrived at that phase too"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I mean, you just broke up with Brett and hearing that rich idiot say stuff like 'you can't turn a man on with your dance moves' is like adding salt to an injury"
"Fuçk yeah" she agreed and I nodded with a small smile.
I didn't know if what I was saying made any sense until she agreed with me -gosh, I can't believe I have it in me.
"So you just flared up and went rogue" I released her shoulders and held her hands. "Honey, don't think about it, just put it behind you and live happily like you've been doing before, yeah?"
She stared at me for a while, then broke into a smile and nodded.
"So.. did you get the job?" I asked.
"Nope" she pouted her lips. "I don't think so"
I shrugged my shoulders.
"Then let it be, we can surf the internet for another job tomorrow"
I got up and pulled her up with me.
"Come on, let's get something to eat" I said as I dragged her with me towards the door.
"I wanna eat cake, chocolate cake" she grumbled.
"Of course"
