Chapter 89
‘Where to?” Blake asked, his interest clearly piqued.
1 thought of the place Emily had recommended. I gave the driver the address, then turned back to Blake, tugging at his tie. “Don’t ask so many questions. Tonight, you follow my lead!”
Blake’s arm snaked around my waist. “As you wish, Mrs. Wright.”
The hotel room took my breath away. Floor–to–ceiling windows offered a stunning view of Boston’s nightscape, city lights twinkling like stars.
I underestimated Emily’s determination to help me ‘conquer‘ my husband…
A swing chair hung prominently in the center of the room, positioned perfectly against the backdrop of the city.
I noticed Blake’s eyes darkening with desire as he immediately registered what kind of place this was.
“Mrs. Wright, I didn’t know you knew places like this,” he teased, his voice low.
A shiver ran down my spine as I considered what I’d have to do to secure EcoMarine Group. I tried to cover his eyes, but it was too
late.
Blake caught my wrists, his smile mischievous as he led me to the bed. Only then did I notice the black lace lingerie beneath the rose petals scattered across the sheets. When Blake pulled open the bedside drawer, I glimpsed not just condoms but an assortment of sex toys, ropes, candles, and even a leather whip.
“Wait, this isn’t right. I have something else to do!” I protested half–heartedly.
Blake released me with a smile. “Scared?”
Just as I felt relieved by his mercy, Blake strode to the door and shut it with a decisive thud. My heart jumped at the sound. He turned back to me, grinning like a wolf who’d cornered his prey.
“Come here, have a drink with me,” he invited, draping his jacket over the arm of the sofa before examining the wine selection. “Not too bad,” he muttered, not entirely satisfied with the options.
The room’s dim lighting cast seductive shadows. Without his jacket, Blake’s tailored shirt revealed his perfect waist–to–hip ratio, and his custom–fitted pants accentuated the physique maintained by years of dedicated exercise.
As he turned with a bottle of wine, reaching for glasses at the bar, his muscles flexed visibly beneath his shirt.
This wasn’t the first time I’d noticed his attractiveness, but tonight it affected me more intensely.
Blake caught me staring. “Captivated?” he asked.
He hadn’t even touched me, yet with just one husky question and those cool, aristocratic eyes, he had me burning with desire.
I gritted my teeth, suddenly irritated. I was supposed to be the one seducing him tonight.
“Not at all!” I lied. “Just thinking your looks are definitely worth popping champagne for!”
Emily had told me this was something people said about exceptionally handsome escorts–only the most attractive ones deserved champagne.

Blake paused, considering this “Champagne works too.”
I stifled a laugh and dashed behind him, pinning him against the cabinet in my attempt at a wall slam, trying to trap him between
my arms.
But my arms were too short for his height, so when he turned around, my face ended up pressed against his chest.
Blake laughed, lifting me by the waist to sit on the bar counter. “Mrs. Wright, in such a hurry?” he teased as his shadow loomed over
Everything after that happened naturally. I closed my eyes, surrendering to the pleasure. I thought to myself: ‘When the setting and mood are right, does it really matter if the person isn’t?‘,
Face to face, our breaths mingling, we kissed passionately, losing ourselves in the moment.
Then, a jarring phone ringtone shattered the atmosphere.
Like a command to return to reality, we separated, both breathing heavily as we stared at each other.
“It’s yours,” I said, watching something flicker across Blake’s face as he reached for his phone.
